Are the black reward car silhouettes returning in GT6?

After a series or championship the previous GT games had black silhouettes of the reward car that would slowly spin. Then after a few seconds it would get exposed showing the true car and the entire car. One of my favorite features of the previous GT series.

Not sure why they removed that from GT5. Hopefully its back in GT6. Or was that only GT3 and prior? I just don't like how the car drives forward in GT5.

No one can possibly answer this as the game has not yet been released.

I actually miss GT3 rewards with the 4 cars spinning at once, and it was like the lottery to me lol.

Who knows. The game hasn't been released yet so no one can give you an answer. We'll just have to wait and see.

GT6 is only about 43 days away from release. I guarantee there are some people even reviewers that have the game in their hands already. It might not be easy to find this answer, but is sure as heck is not "impossible" as you say.

That was also my favorite. I was trying to find a video showing this but cant find one on youtube. If you can find one it would be greatly appreciated.

Just as you guaranteed GTAV would leak a month before release, but didn't? There is no indication GT6 has even gone gold yet.

GTA 5 gameplay DID leak a month before the game released, as I guaranteed.

Not that I saw, I even posted on the thread a month before that there was no leaks. It came about a week later and that was from digital leaks, not people with physical copies.

But anyway as I say, there is nothing to suggest GT6 has even gone gold yet. It must be close, though.

There were youtube videos a month in advance of people with physical copies showing GTA 5 gameplay spoilers. But anyway yes GT6 should be going gold very soon. I would estimate within the next 15 days.

At this point I'm not aware of a single inside secret that was revealed concerning this micro level of detail. So until someone gets their hands on a copy and looks at this feature, then yes, no one can possibly know this answer.

How come nobody saw them then and none of those videos are still online? Seriously look back at the GTA thread, nobody was talking about leaked gameplay footage on August 17th. On September 10th still there was only faked Xbox art. September 13th was the earliest genuine leaked footage, certainly not a month before.

Found a video! Yes I miss these 4 car reward silhouettes too. The CLK touring car reward was one of the best experiences for me. But here is an example for those that don't remember or maybe never played GT3.

I miss the random prize cars from GT1 and GT3, it provided more incentive to re-run completed events than just grinding for credits.

Yep, I agree completely. Knowing exactly what you were getting in GT5 was helpful, but I really miss the lottery aspect... I can remember getting all excited upon see the 4 car shadows in GT3 and seeing which car I would get. Of course sometimes there would be disappointment, but overall it creates much more excitement and involvement with redoing races. Especially when you have a car list of 1000 plus, it makes perfect sense to re-add this in GT6. I don't expect it though.

I don't miss the random prize car system that was in GT3 at all. It's one of the few things I dislike about that game. Getting a car that could only be won through a championship in that game was annoying. You could exploit the prize system by saving and then skipping the last race of a chamiopnship. If you didn't get the car you wanted, just reset the game and try again. But I found myself literally resting 10+ times because the game kept screwing me by giving me every car EXCEPT for the one I wanted.

I'm glad GT4 did away with it.

I also dislike the random prize cars from GT3. I do, however, want to see the return of cars that can only be obtained by winning an event. That way there are some cars that are exclusive to people who actually put in some effort to get it, instead of just grinding some cash together the easy way (e.g. the remote racing app for GT5) and buying it.

agreed it added a lot of replay value. I hope it comes back.

I agree. I was forever trying to win the Tom's Chaser in all its colours.

This. I remember grinding to get the RX7 LM in all colors. Back then, I collected all cars, as too in GT4. In GT5 I have just bothered with the cars I actually want (still 170+ and counting). In short, grinding sucks, for any reason. Luckily online play offers big Cr. with little effort (IE dream car seasonal Cape ring).

The Parma GT3 guide told is what cars we wanted. If we didn't get it, just reload the game and try again.

I think it depends on there being a proper livery editor or not. That said, the 15th Anniversary cars have been announced as a pre-order bonus, and there would be nothing special about those cars if there was a livery editor.

This was an awful feature, I didn't spend ages completing events just to win an AE86 instead of a 787b, decided purely by chance. If a game isn't fun enough to replay more than once without prize car incentives, that is a problem. GT3 was the worst in this aspect - there were enormous performance and rarity discrepancies between the prize cars. The fact that the events overall took more time than in GT1 and GT2 further illustrated the shortcomings of prize car lotteries. They should never return.

I don't believe this.

You never did the "save game trick"? Win golds in every event per series, save game to memory card before final event, load game and retire the final event and repeat until you get the one car of the 4 you wanted. I definitely used that to advantage quite a bit.

A lot of you are assuming the random prize car must go hand in hand several cars being unbuyable.

Why not have GT5's system of every car being available to purchase but also have GT3's surprise prize car system. If you don't get the car you want and you really want it, just go buy it afterwards. Win-win for everyone imo.

Hrm.

While I personally enjoy the "car roulette" of the earlier series, I can see how other people would be frustrated by not getting the car they were grinding for... AGAIN.

I'm not sure how I feel about Conquerer's suggestion above. I mean, if there's no hidden cars / winnable-only cars, there's not much point to the car roulette, imo.

It drives forward from black silhouette to be exposed and stops in GT5... I think its pretty much similar.

not the same feeling. i loved the build up of excitement as your new car is being teased. then revealed eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I did use that trick but again, if you have to resort to using tricks involving the joyless and tedious process of turning your console on and off and navigating through menus just to get cars that you want, then that is a problem.
