Pre-ordered the 25th Anniversary Digital Edition as soon as it was available for PS5. It's never a question with GT, I always buy it no matter what :P

The Gran Turismo series is the only gaming franchise I have bought every single (main line) release at launch. GT7 will be no different.

Will you be buying this at launch, wait until reviews, wait until on sale, or not interested?
No, Sony hasn't given me any reason to buy a PS5 yet unless they announce new IPs that interest me or if they reboot some of their neglected franchises. Gran Turismo is always on top my list when buying a new console but I ain't gonna invest in an expensive piece of hardware for just one game. Sold my PS4 a week after they announced it as a fully next gen game and I'm not gonna purchase another PS4 for it either. At this point, I'm truly hoping that NVIDIA leak is true, I'd gladly play GT7 on PC but the chances of that happening is too low.

I'll get it at launch, but since I like to go and buy a physical copy from a shop I'll likely have read lots of first impressions by the time I have the game in hand, and probably a few more by the time the day one patch has installed!

I used to buy (when preorders weren’t a thing) day 1 until GT4 came out. I preordered collector’s and special physical editions of GT5, 6 and GTS.

With GT7 I’m still waiting. Maybe this state of play will convince me. If I see what I want to see, I’ll pre order the 25th Anniversary edition for the PS5 (physical).

GT7 is the first I won't be buying at release, been burned before. I'll wait until I read player reviews, posts on here, general feedback... I'm in no hurry, much as I am - cautiously - sure it'll be good.

EDIT - after the State of Play reveal I'm gonna say this is now 100% "not buying on release day"...

After State of Play: not buying this on launch
Likewise. As a single player gamer with no interest in photographing my cars and watching replays to music it doesn't seem worth full price. For those that do, it surely seems more appealing, different strokes and all that.

But as someone who plays these games primarily to go racing offline then GT7 isn't offering much, just the same terrible format and AI from GT6 that became the first GT game I never finished.

Brilliant weather and customisation systems aren't enough to sway me, what good is my nicely upgraded car if I'm just flying past slow, brain dead AI.

Watching the state of play i just kept thinking of what Tourist Trophy 2 would be like in the same light of gt7

As for the topic in hand i dont know after the state of play

The game is beautiful yes and i have always love the passion and love pd gives the game.

But at the same time it just feels way to much like the same o same o.

Care to share why?

I wasn't blown away the state of play but certainly hasn't put me off.

No real mention of AI improvements is probably my biggest concern.
The issues that this series is been having since its birth seem to continue in GT7. Gameplay, AI and the excitement of actually racing a car are simply not there. If you take away the gorgeous graphics and top notch polish it falls flat. Paying €70 for a hotlap and Photosimulator is a bit too much.

Totally valid points.

I certainly agree with the AI, hopefully they work a lot mote on AI for the next instalment as its of course too late for GT7.

At launch. Gonna pre order the anniversary edition digitally, then get the physical edition down the line when it’s cheaper for collectors purposes.

Just means I don’t have to go out to get it and in case there’s any delivery issues when ordering online. I’ll be at work on launch anyways so it’ll be all ready for me on launch. Can’t wait!

The real question for me is, do I wait and make the jump for the first time to xbox once Forza comes out or (try to) get a Ps5 and this now? I'm getting the feeling that also graphic wise Forza will be superior to this so quite hard to decide at the moment.

Already reserved several months ago.
Second time in my life I reserve any videogame.
The first experience was amazing, but with a 50% of that feeling now I'll be more than satisfied. Actually, with maybe even less.

I don't have wifi at home, so I'm going to wait and see if I can get away with using my phone's Hotspot for saves, and still play campaign without eating up all my phone Hotspot data. So I'm waiting until after launch, but not because I want to...

I don’t have a ps5 yet but I did pre order the 25th anniversary edition disk when it was announced. So now I have to get a ps5 disk version before Gran Turismo comes out.

Sorry to hear this, Comicspekt and nostradavor2.

Hopefully things pick up for you guys. :)

This will likely be the first Gran Turismo I don't get at launch. Not because I don't want to but because I can't get hold of a PS5. If I can get a PS5 before launch then yes I will be getting it on launch day.
100% same situation here mate.
