I found another solution to my brake pedal calibration issue. I basically need to quit being a wuss and use the pedal lol. I found that since I can’t change the game calibration I just need to change my own personal calibration. In the pits before entering the track I just press the brakes as hard as I can/as hard as I’ll ever use them. This sets the benchmark calibration in the game. Now, when I go out to practice I’m forced to use up all of the brake pedal throw from the beginning instead of chasing it throughout a race. I’ve had to change up my technique a bit but it’s actually starting to grow on me. The biggest thing is lifting my heel off of the base when using the brakes. Different than what I’ve been doing but I think it adds a level of realism to it. We’ll see how this weekend goes.

I will be looking into a load cell pedal in the future though.

Lol and now u will be running iracing with no abs and that will totally Jack you up

Let me know when u get it setup and well try and get ya through the rookies so we can race I'm also thinking when we get enough guys I'll start hosting some lobbies it's only a dollar for 2hrs
Will do. It will probably be may before I get it

I recommend a tower we did alot of research on this and nate confirmed that a laptop can't really handle iracing even if it is a gaming laptop.

Also, if you are going to join PCMaster race you never go in half-a$$ed.

Exactly I had all the guys help me do research and we found alot of pcs that are good quality and wont break the bank either. This is the tower I got it runs well most people say upgrade the ram which isn't a bad idea but it will run just fine with the 8gb

@NASCARNATE91 got some catching up to do in the old dirt sleds lol

I know it’s killing me. I log on hoping that everything will be magically working better and it’s not. It’s decent if I’m practicing by myself but when I race online it’s like playing NASCAR ‘99 on Nintendo 64 or worse. IRacing should really update their minimum requirements page. Even though my laptop is well above the minimum it’s still terrible. I guess if I had any advice for anybody getting into iracing it would be to aim wayyy above the minimum requirements.

Lol

Lol

I needed a laptop and at the same time wanted to go iracing. It seemed like a logical and economical way to have my cake and eat it too considering the laptop I bought exceeded all of iracing’s minimal requirements. I’m also not that computer savvy and learning as I go.

Indeed, and for anybody else who is kind of new to the computer spec-ing. Minimum requirements usually means the bare minimum to be able to run the game. Which means allllllllll of the graphics turned either down to lowest setting or some things turned off. THen you are limited on how much can be processed at a given time which means servers with not a lot of people in them.

THat's why a games minimum requirements are misleading. If they offer a maximum requirements, go for that! Lol

Lol man when did you get so smart.

I've only been on 3 weeks dont steal the thunder. I'm stuck in d6 till the end of the season because I got out of rookies right at week one. Right now with my sr I'll be promoted to c at the end of the season. So this is my only chance to even run the ss

Have you tried the ty majesky trick? A bowl of ice covered with saran wrap under the laptop and a fan blowing on it. Seems the big problem with laptops is heat bogging things down.

Lol I have not tried that but it doesn’t seem to get hot when I play. But I have no idea what “hot” really is.
