ARL Super GT Season 2, Round 5, 26-Mar.

you guys are going to force me to actually practice before the race.

This is ironic to me, lol. I have to take hours and hours of practice laps each week just for safety and to run the pace I do run. Haha....funny, not funny...sad!

I'll most likely have a practice lobby a few hours before the race, I have to actually get familiar with this track or I'll be all bark and no bite.

I wouldn't feel too bad. The Ferrari's excellent take off allows me to take an early lead most races and kinda learn during the race. You'll notice my times are usually the strongest near the end of the race.

Same here. My times usually get "good" as the race progresses. I usually don't practice much at all or I get on about 30 to 45 mins before the race and see if somebody has a practice room up. Then I practice at that time.

Some of these courses I have ran so much that I don't practice them at all except on race day just to get used to whatever car I am using.

I dint know how faniliar you guys are with this layout but for me a cut a few seconds off from the beginning of my practice to the end. There are a few sections with corners strung together where a bad entry will kill your entire lap. I'd recommend getting a few laps under your belt to at least identify the problem areas and start thinking about how you'll approach them in the race.

Even with practice, with damage on all it will take is one lapse of concentration entering a braking zone to miss your mark and slide into the barrier. I feel like this race will be much like sardegna but with heavier damage being taken due to the higher speed entering braking.

Should be am interesting race

Last time I ran this configuration was season 6 or the gr.4 series. So I should be totally familiar with it. lol

Ditto my friend ditto. Some of these guys were telling me tues after the enduro that a) they dont have time to practice or b) 45 minutes is ‘a lot of practice’ - crap - i sometimes run laps for a couple hours and watcha a couple you tube vids just to be confident enough not to be a menace out there!

We're learning and having fun though...that's what matters!

Now with very little ballast the vette might give you quite the run into t1

Thank you and I really do mean this to everyone who signed up, participated, raced, won, lost, everyone who competed in Season 1 Of ARL Super GT. I had been hesitant on starting this for a while. and all of you have shown me that is was worth the effort.
Season 2 will be a little different with different GT500 cars and upgraded GT300 cars. The ballast system will also be revised for next season.

Congratulations to our winners in GT500 and GT300!!!!!

There is a tradition in real life Super GT where the championship winner in GT500 uses the number 1 (one) and the winner in GT300 uses the number 0 (zero) so now @BGCaligula you may use the number 1 and @PApunk924 you may use the number 0 for season 2

Thanks everyone for the congrats on my first ever ARL championship!

I would like to personally thank everyone that competed in GT300 this season @fullness @Stryker13 @SydViscus @Cornbread243 @BPeacock2727 @Drummer79 @Whitey093 you guys are great and I love racing with you every week,

Biggest thanks to @WanganGhost for putting on the series. You've done an excellent job and I look forward to season 2. Hopefully next season will see even larger attendance and maybe even a return of the post race report.
