I hate Autopolis....Did I mention that?

So I noticed something that bothers me. While lapping under the blue flag, people seem to get really nervous, some more than others. @fullness is usually fine and handles it very well (when he sees you lol), but it seems like @Drummer79 is having some trouble and @Cornbread243 wants you to pass, but it gets complicated.

I hate seeing you guys go off track and I know it's because you're trying so hard to give space. @Cornbread243, that point where we made contact during the race, I couldn't tell which side you wanted me to pass on. I only had a short time to discern before I was on you and I have a feeling you weren't sure either. So ideally, you take the racing line and just trust the faster car does the right thing in maneuvering around you. I will stay behind you until there's a clear opportunity. Either one created by your movement, or one I make myself. @Drummer79 says f@#k it and goes off completely. Don't, just drive a predictable line and you'll be fine. GT300 have their own race going on and you can't keep losing that much time.

Anyone watch the series irl? Watching GT500's coming through the field is somethin' else man. Gets pretty sketchy at times.

Great stuff so far @WanganGhost.

Oh btw, I hate Autopolis!

i watch in real life in case none of you picked up on that for me to create this series. lol, jk.
I want everyone to know the GT300 cars have right of way going through corners. If you want to let the Gt500 cars by on a corner. Please do so without compromising your own race I made the GT500 cars much faster on purpose. Thats why i say for the GT500 cars to take care when passing Gt300 cars. I want all of you fighting for positions or at least catching those of you who are leading the race in your class. hence the ballast system.

Race report for Round 2 of ARL Super GT at Autopolis

Tricky weekend sees winners take repeat victories

GT500
Round 2 ERS_BadGuyCali.JPEG

Gt500 was Action from the start with @BGCaligula on pole with @scarecrow937 in 2nd and WanganGhost in 3rd. From the word go the mid-engine NSX took 2nd from Scarecrow but it was not to last as WanganGhost lost the car multiple times eventually finishing 55 seconds down from 2nd place. Scarecrow was in the hunt for first place ever since lap 1. And took first place after a number of missteps from BadGuy. But BadGuy driving fast even with 4%weight ballast on took the win from Lap 34. From a win of just 14.169 seconds to Scarecrow. BadGuyCali has also extended their lead to 44 Points while Scarecrow and WanganGhost are now tied at 26 Points each.

GT300
Round 2 Kinetic-Fulness.JPEG

GT300 was much like last week where several cars ran nose to tail for much of the race until the pitstops. @PApunk924 took an early lead after @fullness out braked them selves going into turn 1 with @Stryker13 just behind. DrSpyderPig was in the hunt for the lead for 11 Laps. @Drummer79 briefly took 3rd. But ultimately better brakes on the Lexus let Dr.SpyderPig past. Pa Punk ran wide at turn one on lap 11 and gave DR.SpyderPig the lead for 16 Laps until they needed to pit giving the lead to Kinetic-Fullness. Kinetic won by just 3.5 seconds with DrSpyderPig in 2nd and PApunk in 3rd. @BPeacock2727 took 4th for a maiden finish. Good job to you. @Drummer79 beat out @Cornbread243 for 5th in class. Cornbread now has -2 to their weight and +2 to their power. Kinetic now extends their lead to 43 points while PaPunk and DRSpyderPig are 2 points apart at 26 and 24 respectively.

Next week we head to Toyota's home track. Fuji Speedway.
Can @BGCaligula still win with a now 8% increase to their weight with Scarecrow closing in? Will we see a different winner? Will there be a different winner in GT300 aswell on this power sentitive track? I hope you will all join us to find out!!!

Also there will be a special announcement on Monday the 12th

Lots of fun last night. Wish I could have made it a closer finish.

Great job on the series @WanganGhost ! I really enjoy the post race reports.

Man, I was really counting on my normal finish so I could go to Fuji, a track I know and love, with a feather light, high horsepower beast. I've now just put Wangan's NSX back in balance with me....ugghh! How dare I perform well! Should have sandbagged like @Stryker13 recommended in chat last night, hahahaha.

Most likely another NSX and GTR in the 500 class next week too...I'm screwed, lol.

Haha, I think you have to be fast enough to actually sandbag

Edit: it was a joke from Spyderpig in chat...as to whether he should lift in qualifying to avoid ballast, lol. A little over an hour later, Kinetic proved that point was moot.

Last three rounds are all tracks I've never been on before...not expecting much there anyways...I'm here to learn them!!

Special announcement

I have been thinking this for a while now. As series organizer for this series. All of us who race, put a-lot of time and effort into racing online. And there is not much recognition. That is why i have decided that the winner of both classes with receive physical trophies. They are not big ones (about 9”) I hope everyone will fight hard.

Is there some way (those willing) can chip in a few $$ towards the cost?
