i feel i will race what ever is required...
i dont mind qually for the main but waiting for the BotR then to come in and run a qually makes my knee shake alot... hehe

my idea that might work
is grid set by avg heat finishes, tie breaker goes to fastest laps, then with botr being stacked up in back as finished in the botr race
I think what nick is trying to say is, would you guys that have already qualified for the Main want to run a SCRAMBLE to determine starting positions while the BotR is running.

you mean i also have to comprehend!!!!
the BoD is doing a great job, i am down for what ever is most streamlined for the hosts as well as what gets the race started the soonest. im having a blast with arl!

scramble could be fun. Random grid order could also be fun.

Average heat finishing position is how some local dirt tracks do it. At Devils Bowl in Texas they put people in order by points with the top points in the back. That would be hectic but it did create some good racing.

Will most likely be down there sometime this summer for one of the ASCS races. My dad has been wanting to go back, they live in Tyler.

Attention all drivers: The series manager is looking for your feedback and input.
Would the driver pool like to participate in a “scramble race” prior to the FEATURE race to determine starting position? We are currently looking at the details behind this, so no questions will be fielded at this time. Just looking if you all may be interested in doing this to determine your starting position for the FEATURE RACE.
We would like to have any potential change in place prior to next Wednesday.
Responses will be pooled and discussed amongst the BOD. You have until Sunday midnight to provide your answer.
Thank you
Yes that would be awsome its basically the same format as the world of outlaws sprintcar series

ATTENTION ARL RACERS

An announcement regarding IR’s will be posted by a BOD member in the very near future. There seems to be a lot of questions about IR’s and I hope we can clear a lot of information up. Thanks!!

ALL DRIVERS:

There has been some questions as far as the Incident reporting system and what to report, for the time being the stewards will look at any and all incidents from all series run under the ARL name. Any driver that wishes to file an Incident should use this FORM to do so. If you see something that is questionable or something that you were a part of please file. You have 24 hrs after the night of the series to file (example: Tuesday Endurance ends at 1045 pm est so cutoff will be 1045 pm est on Wednesday to file for that series).

If you are asking for advice on how you handled a situation you can file as well. The stewards will explain any issues that they see with great detail in a private message on GTP. If you have had a Incident filed on you we will contact you on GTP and will also give a brief outline on why it was filed on you. The person filing will always remain anonymous.

Ultimately what the BOD wants is everyone to improve there on track performance.

If you have any questions with how to file a IR or where to find the form please send me a message on GTP and I will be glad to help you out.

And I can't express this enough thank you drivers for showing up each and every week which makes this league so great.

Also it is a great idea if you think you are going to file an Incident Report please save the replay. This is a duty of the room hosts as well but we also ask that you do the same in the rare event that the host is not able to grab the replay.

Line up by average heat finishes (yes fastest first) no invert , Sam and Nugget will start up front and more than likely stay up front for feature start ..
4-6 lap race while the BotR is happening.
A: a good tune up race vs hot lapping
B: if you have a bad heat , it's a chance to move up the grid for feature

This is only for the top 12 already in the show , last chance drivers will still start 13th - 16

I'm all for it.

You say that but wait until I have a beach day at Willow.

Can someone explain what they mean by “scramble” race? When I see scramble all I can think of is like 5-6 wide standing start. Lol
It would be like a 4 lap race to decide starting position in the main race instead of qualifying you have to race for your starting position

I say go with a format that is executed fastest on race day (what's fast to coordinate) keeping in mind that we could be at 3 to 4 lobbies.
Example: only look at finish position in the heat races to advance to next event (feature or best of the rest)
1. re-qualify (out lap and hot lap) or
2. randomize the starting grid
