Assassin Performance Tuning ** M3 '04 TEST CAR Released **

Just wish to express gratitude for your BMW tunes, AssassinT.
kindly requesting BMW LMR V12 tune for Nur ring. and Eifel supercar circuit.

thanks.

So how does one race online without a PSN? I feel obliged to ask.:D

When I get some spare time, I'll have to give this CSL tune a shot at the ring, mine wouldn't quit bouncing over every little bump and dip. :(

They don't. I unfortunately cannot race online. It's no secrete that my PS3 is Jailbroken. I run Custom Firmware on 3.55. Since 1.10 update forces a 3.60 eboot be used I'm stuck on 1.06. It's not for pirating, I buy every game I feel deserves my Money. I've not only a Copy of GT5 but of all GT games of the series including Tourist Trophy.

f8e58f2c.jpg

So unfortunately until I pick up a spare PS3 that stays on OFW, I'm not on PSN at all. I have to run Time Attack events as instead of online races for the moment.

UPDATE

I've readjusted the M3 GTR (I couldn't help myself), softened it up and I've migrated some of the settings from my other M3's that are proving to be helpful. I've still only hit 1:36 at Fuji, but with much less effort, and more consistency.

The game got a lil jittery so it's on a System Cool Down Period.

I'm back in the M3 Coupe an hour or so after the systems cooled down.

Thanks for checking them out, it's great to hear they are working for you.

As soon as I spot this sucker She's getting shipped over to APT headquarters for some serious work. That is the Badest Beemer in GT5 Land.

UPDATE

I've made a HUGE improvement to my gearbox calculations and will update the Tunes tonight and tomorrow. They are running good ratios now, but much improved with the new calculations.

It's already used on my M3 '04 that is being Tested by the requester and will be Published when finished (it's insane) keep an eye out.

Hey AssassinTuner!

Can you make a tune for BMW M5 08? ;)

Sweet, I've been driving it for the last hour feeling it out and breaking it in. I'll have it up today when ready.

Cheers!

Hi assassin, the guy was talking about the M5 and me too. But anyway, all those BMW are the finest cars with Audi from GT5 ,for me ,as road cars.

Snap, I missed that, no worries Mates. The M5 is added to the list. Keep an eye out.

What you call understeer, I call proper feel. I don't "understeer" at all in these rides, at the same time, they don't Oversteer as your style seems to prefer. I think your confusing understeer with lack of Oversteer ;)

But hey, that's why you have your own Tunes, is it not? Tune up your own CTR & M3's make em "understeer" less and Post them up. We were going to run some laps at Nurb GP/F with our M3's but seems people bailed on the Race. If you want to have a lil fun racing I'm still up for it.

I would love to see your interpretations of these cars handling as YOU want. Toss a link to them over here when ready, & we can put them to the test.

6:37 ain't too bad either. I've seen CSLACR run a fastest lap of 6:35 with a CSL, they are a MUCH better driver then you and I, you brushing up 2 seconds behind, is nothing to cry about......

This is with my 1st M3 CSL `03 , 399 bhp , 1385 kg , RH Tyres (I have 3 : This one , a maxxed out and a stock one)

With RS , I did a 6:46 with this one

Not sure I follow, but It's all good.

Open up a Garage and Post your Tunes (if you don't already have one), are you comfortable with them and confident of your work? Post Em Up.

Anyways, all Tunes are getting an updated Gearbox's shortly. I've made an improvement on my calculations.

Im curious though, Why do you type your handle in every post you make? It's redundant...

I don´t have a Garage and I don´t want one.

I´ve already posted some tunes but no one wants to try or can´t drive them.(except the Focus one)

Same with the Integra.Only CSLACR could do a sub 2:04. ;)

-raVer- your welcome to post your tunes in the Wallbanger's Cafe & Outlaw Motorsports Garage. I'll link them to the first page and we can help each other polish our tunes.👍👍

Sounds like a good flex, a hand of friendship is extended. You know it might just be they need to reach out a bit further & Outlaw should get you the exposure they may need. Once a few get in them and if they are Tuned well they should do well.

I bet I could hit a Sub 2:04 in your Tune... I'll give it a run when I fire up the PS3.

Good luck to you raVer raVer raVer raVer raVer, Kidding.

Hey nice tune for the M3 CSL. It is actually my most prized car. I am just wondering, when the car turns sometimes it doesn't turn enough for the full turn, is there anyway to adjust that in the suspension? Or should I put my controller steering sensitivity up? (its at 4 atm) I am also not sure if I got the new settings or the old? (You said you were doing changes to the gearbox etc.) Did I get those or no? I just put this tune on 15 mins ago.

Also, keep it up! Looks like I will compete with alot more powerful cars now!

Thanks for running my Tunes. :)

The positive front Toe reduces your braking distances, it's important to take advantage of this by doing most of your braking before starting your turn, coast to apex then throttle out of the corner.

Slow in, Fast out.

I'll have to run a few laps with the controller and check it out. Try reducing the front toe to 0 then a lil negative if still not enough. I'll run it with the controller a bit after work. What track & corner to help recreate the scenario?

I've yet to update the CSL gearbox, but with the CSL the changes are very minor, the current box is good, I'll post the updates after work, for that. The suspension of the M3 GTR has been updated.

I'll post up my M3 04 TEST car shortly. It's designed to be loose on entry, tight on Exit. It's a "TEST" car as I'm using it to test a more "loose" M3 Tune that if good will be carried over the other M3's. It's has a tighter variation that will be put up for testing as soon as I get feedback from the first test car.

M3 04 Competed
This is a car I've put together after testing out some stuff on the M3 Chassis. I'm looking to make my M3 family of Cars the best They can be, Thanks for working with me to produce the best M3 Tunes available. All help working on these cars is appreciated.

This is the first Test Car. It's designed to be loose on Entry & Tight on Exit.

Let me know if it's too loose, not loose enough or just right on ENTRY

Then tell me if the Exit has too much grip, not enough, or just right.

I'll have the adjustment posted after it gets some feedback. Give it a good number of Laps to get used to it please.

Thanks!!!

Enjoy The Tune.

Adjustments to the Test Car are small but HUGE impact on the car. I've recently learned quite a bit in an at times heated discussion on gear tuning techniques. I came out of it ahead of where I was before because I learned an incredible new way to adjust my gear calculations to get better gear spacing then any other technique (IMHO, hope I'm allowed to have one). Just try these out and see for yourself just how good they are.

Reset gears

Set FD to 4.000

Set top speed slider to 217

Adjust gears to

3.219
2.249
1.680
1.316
1.080
0.900

Readjust the FD to 3.937

To make entry less loose

Dampers

ARB

LSD
16

Brakes
7/3

Keep the rest the same.

Have fun with this 500pp sleeper. Still a Test car, and use it as a Learning tool.

Alright thanks. I was trying it on tsukuba. I chose that track because it has hard turns and a fast section and is small. I tried it on the ring and got 6:54 for my first time, guess I need to practice. Yeah the gearbox is pretty good. If you have any more bimmer tunes, let me know.

Edit: I am actually looking for a 320i Touring car tune. It is actually pretty good stock, would love to see it with one of your tunes.

With or without power limiting?

If with power limiting , you should practice more :)

raVer

You okay there Buddy??? You have issues, Real Stupid comment (nothing new from you) . I said Sub 7 min, why do I need to practice? Are you doing sub 6min at 500pp?!?!? What a stupid comment... Nice finish with your slowest ITR in the Shootout, only ITR to get beat by pretty much everybody, what place was it? Oh yeah 19th... Quit your talking ish... Your full of it. Are you still trying to figure out how to open an Excel Spreadsheet with your PS3?!?!? LMFAO!!!

....And breathe. Calm down, both of you, you're showing signs of the No_OB syndrome

Yuppers, I'm chill, got a good kick out of it. Lost patience with this Negative Nancy.

That Excel Doc on a PS3 ish was classic though. Never thought somebody would ever try to use an Excel Doc on a Retail PS3, then get upset when it doesn't work, -raVer- That was awesome.

Hey Assassin I tried to PM you but your box is full.
Was hoping you could delete a few of the pics you posted in Wallbanger's cafe. A couple of pics is cool but that flood makes it hard to access and work on that page with my cell phone.

the CSL tune is perfect! definitely caters to clean, slow in fast out driving, not a late braker. very nice

this raver guy can't possibly be an actual raver. we are much more relaxed and chill. or he does too many speedy pills :D
