Here's your answer about physics:

More in Aris channel about 1.8 (launched on November 2021 on PC)

Extended gameplay is that you can practically make a custom championship like you want.

1.8 on PC brought also an improved weather system, we will have to wait to see if it's in console version also

My only question is where are Ben Green and Niklas Krütten since they've been anchoring all season and are leading; maybe next update? 😅 Kidding aside, looking forward to starting up the game on this news. Haven't played in a long time.

Not sure if your on next gen, but we already have the M4 GT3 on next gen consoles.
Say what? I have a PS5. I was just playing the game. Jumped in GT3, was looking through the car list and only see the M6. Tried both series, British GT and latest season of GT3.

Is it the PS5 version? I know there's a free upgrade if you have the PS4 disc and play it on a PS5 but I'm not sure if you have to go through the PS store to download it or it's an auto update.

Also what years cars have you selected at the top of the page? M4 won't show up of you click on 2017 or 2018 (I think)

Since both Nissan's are there it isn't the 2019 menu.

I worked out, when I was switching over GT7 from PS4 to PS5, I didn’t do the same for ACC. Thought I was playing PS5 version all this time. All good. It’s downloading PS5 version.

Looking forward to this update. Admittedly, I haven't been playing ACC much because I knew this update would eventually come, and a lot would change. So I didn't want to half-relearn the game.

Admittedly-admittedly....
I also partially upgraded to a DD1 in anticipation of ACC 1.18 so I could take full advantage of the FFB in all of its glory.

If all goes well, I might be jumping to PC soon. Whats a solid gaming PC optimized for sim racing run these days? Anyone know?

To Yard_Sale: We all know since release ACC on consoles has a poor history of game performance. I’ve been with game from very beginning on PS4. Lot of problems including not being able to join multiplayer because of too many PSN friends. Even after we upgraded to PS5 console on ACC PS4 version, the game was not running perfect. Then ACC PS5 version was promised, it was delivered in a poor state, but playable. When I look back the road to playable console ACC has been very bumpy. It is like a beta version gets better and better but takes time. But I am addicted to ACC. When there was multiplayer issue, I didn’t delete my 300+ carefully selected racing friends coming from AC times and ACC too. I was playing single player polishing my racing skills. Career was crashing after 2hr Endurance race, it crashed on three occasions on me, really annoying. But I kept playing and waiting it to be fixed. There has been an update and update and always there are bugs, some wheels are not working properly. There is lack of communication from Untold games and 505games, it’s been frustrating to many. But if you like racing and you don’t have PC, the ASSETTO CORSA COMPETIZIONE on consoles is as close as you can get to perfect racing game. The physics, sound, graphics, tracks, cars, tuning, the feel of car, overall sensations, the buzz, the challenge racing in league an endurance race or crazy 10min multiplayer race - I can’t get enough of ACC. You need a wheel preferably good quality, best would be Direct drive wheel with sim rig to feel games potential. It is amazing game. I believe console ACC 1.8 version will not fix every issue, but it definitely will make this sim racing game even better.

Does anyone know if 1.8 includes UDP support? Iam sat here with the TM SF1000 Ferrari wheel which is next to useless
I'm really hoping it does, I have bass shakers on my seat that I use in the F1 games and would love to use them in ACC. Been thinking of getting the SF1000, I have the T300 RS but not sure I could justify the outlay if its not a big improvement.

Quick question regarding the custom championship mode, can we individually selected the AI cars ir is it just a cars from a certain year kind of thing?

That's pretty cool. Always thought the one way pCars 2 was decent was its tire flex simulation. Even though it ended up being less realistic than most sims, including pCars 1 depending on the car, when it worked it was super cool to feel the tires flexing and gripping the road in a more realistic way

Can't wait to see what Kunos does with this kind of killer feature.

I spent 1700 on mine. Went pre-built because I didn't care to learn a whole new thing building one. I can say get the best graphics card you can afford. I have a rtx3070 ti and it does the job well. In hindsight I would prefer a 3080 minimum or a 3090.

On higher graphic settings I get well over 100 fps on acc. If I drop quality down I have no problem getting the 165 my monitors run at.

Sim racing is all about the gpu. I don't even use 20% of my cpu in game.

That's just for PC, right?
Certain tracks on consoles run 30 cars (including player) most are around 28.

I've seen Jardier on youtube do a multiclass race at Suzuka on PC that had about 70 cars from memory so the consoles are a fair way behind in that regard but still console ACC has bigger grids than GT7.

When I played on PS4 Slim, could only get 20 cars.
With PS5, unless I missed clicking more spaces, I raced at Nurb GP(GT3 cars) and there were only 23 opponents. Now, I've got to experiment to see which tracks have 30 car grids. Guess it's the same as PC2, with tracks having a certain amount of pit boxes. That's one of the best things I love about PC2.

Wow! 30 cars on track would be a ton of fun. I have a PS5 and I don't think I've ever seen more than 19 cars on track with me.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I can't wait for the update.

Okay, 24 30 car grids. I’m loving this.
Just had a scan of all the circuits.

Total number of cars, on track, for PS5

Nurburgring GP 30
Zandvoort 25
Imola 30
Misano 30
Barcelona 29
Spa 30
Paul Ricard 30
Zolder 30
Brands Hatch 30
Monza 29
Hungaroring 27
Silverstone 30
Oulton Park 28
Snetterton 26
Donnington 30
Bathurst 30 :D
Laguna Seca 30
Suzuka 30
Kyalami 30

There are already up to 30 cars on track, try an offline custom race, and in options you set the ai cars to30

Just ran a couple of five minute GT4 races, at Monza and Brands Hatch. The extra cars up the immersion. Need to make time and do a short season. Can’t rush playing this game. It’s too cool.

In the past I've found this to be a useful site: https://www.logicalincrements.com/

If you're fine with a single screen and ~PS5-ish level graphics, probably around the $1000 mark? Anything up to $2000 is reasonable value if you've got the cash and want to spend it, I wouldn't go much more than that because it's just throwing money away for minimal performance upgrades. I'd also probably wait until the end of the year when the new gen graphics cards come out though unless you just can't hold it. You'll get more bang for your buck.

You guys really know your stuff. I don't know what's wrong with me.

I'm doing the British GT Championship and I only have 8 GT3 cars. I use a GT4 car and there are not 22 of us. I think we're only 8-10 cars.

I'm confused.

You should be able change it in the settings. I know can do it the quick race settings
