This is actually pretty good! Straight off the bat, I completed the Track Competence thingie on whatever track I was trying these settings on!

I'm so impressed! And baffled at the same time, as I don't understand why they don't ship the game with these settings dialled in, instead of the crappy default ones.

Glad its useable for you, and yes it's strange they dont make it better out of the box. I've found that one of the Porsches isn't foo great with these settings so I simply avoid it..

It didn't crash which is a good thing. In my first race I had two or three noticeable slight freezes which worried me that it was about to crash but it didn't. The second race was smoother. Hopefully things will settle down from here and they will learn NOT to put something in a patch that makes the game the game crash.

I still can't bring myself to buy it, I think the time has passed for me with this game.

I am a casual simulation racing fan. I’m not very talented and not to knowledgeable about what games really simulate the real life physic the best. I picked up this game recently and got what I thought it was. I could of passed on this game sale $20 price tag. I does a good job on what it is but that is to little. If they added at least the photo type Le Mans car and some more tracks I could give it a recommendation. On the Xbox, Forza and Pcars 2 are on top for car racing games.

Agreed that ACC is narrow in scope when compared with any other racing game, let alone the Masterpiece that is PC2. To me, the actual racing and the car handling is better than any other console racer, including my beloved PC2. But, the pit stops are a bit clunky and the rolling starts pale in comparison to PC2.

I've had PC2 since 2017 and still haven't raced on every track nor have I come remotely close to using every car. Heck, I'm guessing I've hardly driven a quarter of the cars, if that.

And, there's nothing quite like the multi class racing. class

Well,well, seems that there's a way to configure working driver swaps online on ACC console version 1.8.7.1 using the paid private servers.
Surely they achieved it by editing the .Json server config files that paid private servers offers.

That makes the possibility to play online good endurance races with a team of players for each car.

Like you I'm intrigued about this game but on the fence about purchasing it, as stated above it's currently the lowest price it's ever been in the UK at £8.74 for gamepass subscribers.

However, this is where I currently have reservations about the game after reading about the latest version & watching videos of the latest version.
(xbox series x only, don't know or care about any other platform)

This is not the first or the last time it will be on sale.
Some dlc's are expensive but dlc sales normally follow shortly after game sales.
Many major bugs have been fixed.
Many silly bugs still exist.
Base game contains 11 tracks (I believe).
You need 3 to 4 dlc packs to double this (I believe).
You need dlc just to use GT4 cars.
There's more dlc in the pipeline (GT2 I believe + possibly more tracks).

I'm in no rush to purchase a new driving game so I'm happy to give it another 6 months to see how it goes, worst case another year in hope of some type of ultimate edition containing everything in 1 package.

Just want to state this is purely my current opinion on the Xbox series x version & believe me if I owned a PC I would already own this game alongside all other sims.

I have it on both my PC and SX. Pains me to say it but I can tell you it's much better on PC. Graphics, handling/feeling, lack of bugs etc. It's not that it can't be the same on console but it's not the same developer and it certainly shows. I got it for PC after SX and with all the same controller settings, it feels much better. I think your right to leave it alone.

This is why I want to buy a PC instead of PS5. Having said that I had a quick race on PS4 version the other week which has issues but the game itself is simply brilliant when the racing is underway.

Tbh it's not too bad now on Xbox but in comparison the PC easily wins. But a PC is a big expense, I was lucky to pick mine up second hand a few years ago at a great price. This is the route I'd recommend.

With the news of gt7 receiving vr2 implementation, made me think if acc will too at some point. Have the devs said either way yet?

I know it does on pc, and that there's a different team working on console acc, buy did wonder.

I think it is possible to do on PS5 (even PC VR minimum requirememts are slower than PS5), but I am not sure if console ACC devs will ever do it. I hope yes just not sure about.

It's the official game of the SRO GT world championship.
As oficial game from a championship as F1 or WRC / moto GP.
Don't expect prototype cars, and so on.

For that you have the original assetto Corsa, or you can wait to the next Assetto Corsa 2

Too many people don't know what the game is about and don't read the thread. It's a game limited to GT3 and GT4 cars racing the 2018 and 2019 Blancpain GT Series.

Does anyone happen to have this both on series x and ps5? I tried for free this weekend on Xbox but I thought I saw some places it might be better on ps5 (controller better, frame rate better, shadows) I have both consoles.

My GT DD Pro arrived.
When loading the game and choosing controls it does not show up as a preset.
Have the wheel in blue mode, but no preset.
Am I doing something wrong?

There is no preset - you need to assign controls and then name and save it. The UI is a bit confusing at first.

Thanks, big difference compared to my T300.
Gain only 45-50 and the FFB is strong !

The only complain I have ( as many others have mentioned ) is the clunky noise when turning the wheel left/ right under heavy load.
