Hey gang.

Where can I see how many sets of tires I have for a specific race?

Puncture at the end at the end of a 2 hour race :(

In tuning menu you can chose which tyre set to use. For sprint race weekends there are 5 sets available. Not sure about endurance races as haven't done any

They really need to get these race starts fixed at some tracks. I tried Paul Ricard for the first time today and that slow last turn caused all kinds of chaos at the start just like Barcelona. The front three cars got about a 15 second head start because everybody else was bunched up trying to make that tight turn onto the straight to take the green flag.
It's really bad at several tracks. I just keep restarting the race until they get away a bit more sensibly. Issues like this make me wonder how they're not noticed when all they've gotta do is start one race to see how bad the AI pathing is, but it almost looks like D3T didn't even play the game when they were porting it.

new "towards console players" suited FBB ...for me it's just garbage on The T150...to much canned efects, strong wheel and a kind of spring effect:banghead:

D3T LTD completely screwed up the FFB... doesn't feel natural anymore and with quite less sensations it has in pre patch..

How disappointing, I was perfectly happy with the FFB pre patch, I haven't tried it yet post patch but I was worried reading that they were going to make it 'more suited for console'.
If they have forced caned effects on, this is a real shame. The road effects option is specifically for the fake effects, they should give us the ability to keep pure steering feel if we want by setting this to zero.
I will give it a try on my T300 this afto, see how it feels

It's really different and it feels quite less natural.

I use a T150 Pro
My settings are:

Gain: 55% (pre patch 85%)
Min Force : 5% (pre patch 5%)
Damper; 0% (pre patch 100%)
Road effects : 0% (pre patch 15%)
Rotation set by specific brand/car

Still feel the effects more "canned" and the wheel "rattles" when pre patch it was smooth...

Now it really does me think like GT sport with his strange unnatural oversteer effects.

It's playable, but pre patch it was a joy, with very natural feelings.. feeling road bumps, ruge pianos, TC, ABS..

Hope they go back to pre patch , or add the option to choose.. already reported..let's see what D3T LTD Devs do..

I'm using the TMX wheel which is basically the same as the T150,Is there anyway to delete the patch and go back to the previous version?

While I have a G29, this might be worth a try. I found I had to lower the gain all the way to 10 initially and worked my way up until the wheel felt the same weight as I had it pre patch (40). Ended up at 19 as there seemed to be quite a big jump in strength from 19 to 20. So don’t be scared to lower the gain further. I had road effects set to 20 pre patch and now have them at zero and the FFB feels great. A little more detail and feel and can catch slides much easier now.

Not that I now.... otherwise I would switch back to previous version right now even if I couldn't access online

Lot of people seems to don't know that FFB settings in the Pc's Trusthmaster control panel affects in console ACC version and was needed to achieve a real good FFB setting apart the in-game FFB settings...

So instead to explain it to the users ... they've canned efects to suit more the consoles:banghead:

I wish it was Kunos simulazione studios that did the console port as they did with the first AC , and not that D3T LTD studio that is in front of porting ACC and doing proper postlaunch support

Well using my Fanatec CSL Elite I would say that the new update works brilliantly with the wheel. Much better force feedback and feel for the car. Very happy with the big improvement.

CJ
That's the wheel I have so I'm pleased to hear this.

Just been watching free practice at Imola. Woo!

Alexander West just spun the Aston V8 at a slow speed hairpin. John Watson then went on to say they’ve had issues with the new Aston over-rotating at very slow speeds and it being hard to catch when it goes.

Now I’ve mentioned this before about the car and I know many of you guys have too. I just find this amazing because I have sworn it’s a bug. I could not believe this car was so difficult to handle at such slow speeds. Then this happens, live, in real life. Kunos, you have something very special here.

For those interested, it’s with about 1hr17m16s left of free practice.

I was watching this. Its enjoyable watching racing at imola. This highlights the problem with F1 for me, many tracks like China are just uninteresting to watch.

I'm will to bet the porters have zero to little interest in racing games, particularly sims. Even in AC they left out important things like fov and button config.

Still got the saving replay bug., happy with the better fps but still stuttery, at least it's playable now. loooking in the rear view mirror makes you think your playing a ps1 game

As someone who has the same wheel, I have to agree. I just tested all of the cars and just stuck with the car that felt the best. At this point I am just gonna go the PC route at this rate.

Went out and stepped into the multiplayer now it has a better fps and joined a quick race , ha got out pits in Quali and going down too Eau Rouge i see someone going wide up there and me going faster i go to pass them on the straight and the pillock jocki05 or close too that just bashes into me and keeps wrecking me? same ole pick up racing mentality, think i will find better servers.

After more than 2H trying to get a good FFB,had to lower a lot the gain and let damper and road effects on 0...even so it feels to canned:banghead: at least it's "playable" ,but not enjoying like in pre patch:indiff:

I want pre patch FFB again... already opened a bug report ticket to those 505games/D3T LTD Devs:mad:
Same for me with G29. It was perfect and then they updated the game and I can't stand the wheel anymore.

The difference between AC & ACC consoles is huge.

AC console was made/port from Kunos simulazione, before being buyed by digital bros/505 games.
You could discuss with the Devs on Kunos forums,I even did and we finally changed the mind of Stefano casillo in that we wanted VoF options, camera movement and button mapping (all was presets before)
And we got it.

ACC is ported by D3T LTD ,the only way to get support is;
https://fs30.formsite.com/505games/acc-console/index.html

And no other way to discuss with them...

Only shows how different support is this time between PC (done by Kunos) and consoles (D3T/505games)

Kunos send code and updates to D3T, the rest is up to them
Seeing 2 things in chancelog of 1.03 just can confirm that.

-Force Feedback changes for a more suited feel on console
(I don't asked FFB changes, just the same as PC version, like it was prepatch, what was really mostly reported was wheel detection/compatibility issues... that has nothing to see with FFB)

-Stopped certain views being accessible with a keyboard
(Noooo, we wanted full compatibility with the settings as the PC version so you can customise your view and set VoF and more)

Finally this things only does me convince more to change to PC platform, cause I mostly play driving games/Sims and it's the best platform to be on for such games

The FFB changes to me as a CSL Elite user seem to be that they've dialled up the overall gain of the FFB... I was running at 70% prior to the update and post-update that amount felt a LOT heavier, and too heavy for what I consider comfortable and realistic, so I turned it down to 50% and found the feel to be near-enough the same as before.

They've increased the overall gain to help G29/920 users, there doesn't appear to be anything else changed about the FFB.

Played 90 mins today. I actually felt a little bit less detail if anything, found it quite difficult to pick up understeer and oversteer which in the 911 special event meant a lot of spins at eau rouge until I calibrated my hands. Have to rely a bit too much on visual cues which isn't ideal with the choppy frame rate . But for me it was fine, I found reasonable detail and weight. I made some setting changes but ended up with everything the same as pre patch except gain down 5.

So I have the following on T300RS:
Gain 65
Min force 1
Dynamic damping 80
Road effects 10
Steering lin 1.00

T300 PS4Pro user. I like the update so far. The framerate seems smoother and I enjoy the ffb more than before. I do have up admit I turned up the minimum force to 2 from 0 and the road effects up as well from 9 to 17. The wheel has more weight and that's what I wanted. It feels closer to AC than before.

My Spa special event setup. I have since done a 19.2. Also if your reving the car out more than I do put 52 fuel in to play safe.

Thanks - this looks like quite a reasonable / moderate set up, not too extreme.
I'll give it a go, tho I'm not sure I'm quick enough for it yet, I'm running safe preset and doing low 22's at best on the special event but my regular time is more like high 22. So I probably have to improve my driving a lot more before I would actually gain time from tweaking the set up.

I'm at least flat out before the bus stop chicane now, the CC HUD was lighting up blue when I lifted so I just learned to get brave and thread it through and now it's easy even on lap 1

Is there any hope for improvement in frame rate on base ps4? Is it all but guaranteed it’ll run 60fps with a patch on ps5?

No doubt it’s capable of 60fps on PS5 and with high graphics settings. It’s just the question of if they bother to support it on next gen consoles in the first place...

Spent a little time with it this morning , its a lot smoother but boy it looks uglier. I'm on the Pro with a Sony 4k TV and in all honesty I preferred it pre patch.

I have this on PC and PS4 Pro and using the exact same settings on both with G29 I can confirm they are like two totally different wheels. Nothing like each other at all. I'm done with this until the PS5 and I'll only touch it again if Kunos are responsible for that version. :grumpy:

The only way forward will be to allow people to choose between 30fps and high detail and 60fps low detail (without switching resolutions on the console) as an option in game.

I have seen some people happy and some people upset with the change. Now that we have all seen both, people will want to decided. I am sure they have figured that out by now though.
