This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:
Yes this, i am exited about this game but if i cant have fun with a controller i cant play this game. And dont come with you can like in ACC C etc because you cant, its crap with controller. It needs to be out of the box on par with Motorsport and or GT or something in between.Waiting for news about controller support. AC with controller plugins is very fun to play (more than you'd expect) and if they really wanna rival the likes of Gran Turismo it is a must to have a good controller experience. Until then I'll be watching this game's development from the sidelines.
Kudos have already released a wheel setup guideI think I will get my Moza R9 just in time for AC EVO.. good bye Gran Turismo.
I've never quoted myself before, but apparently telemetry data will be in ACE :-O https://steamcommunity.com/app/3058630/discussions/0/4629230582747981611New Emira baby, exciting! I wonder if this game will have telemetry.

Because support doesnt mean its good. Support it and let us make it playble is not how it should work. Give us a good out of the box experience with controller if u decide to support it.Controller support was confirmed on the steam page, and also on the official site. Not sure why people are still wondering about it.
GT7 is still pretty much the visuals benchmark, but on a high-tier PC I suspect ACE is capable of getting close.Really cool to have a potential GT7 contender. I got some hope. I must say from the first images and gameplay I do find the GT7 engine looking more realistic / higher detail. ACE looks like a nicely polished (slightly washed out) game where GT7 looks like it's almost realistic to me.
Trueforce and VR don't change the physics engine, just give users more feedback from the physics engine, given Kunos's track record with both (and that ACE supports OpenXR natively) and historically better physics modelling I don't think this one is going to be an issue.Very curious how the physics engine hold up to GT7 with a Trueforce/VR setup.
Many thanks.Enjoy the open beta if you are on Windows!

I though for a second that meant "Electronic Arts" and it scared the crap out of me...Me muttering on about the EA content
As @PorscheHD already said, having controller support isn't the issue, the issue is how well optomised that support is. AC and ACC both had controller support, but AC wasn't a great experience on a controller. ACC wasn't brilliant, but better than AC. We're hoping ACE's controller support is actually good.Controller support was confirmed on the steam page, and also on the official site. Not sure why people are still wondering about it.
Well Forza Motorsport is terrible on PC, with no native PS controller support. A better example of excellent controller support would be Crew Motorfest, which has native PS controller support including trigger haptic feedback. I'm a bit concerned about AC EVO's controller support as at present it doesn't mention PS controller support at all on the Steam page.Yes this, i am exited about this game but if i cant have fun with a controller i cant play this game. I find a controller easier to use in FM than in GT7. On PC. Although I have an Elite Series 2. Probably the best out of all the ones I've tried. But I don't get into gamey racers though. Why is GT7 trying to correct my steering for me on a controller? (all assists off of course). I'm more used to a wheel now for years so when picking up a controller, it's like learning how to use it for the first time all over. However, I was able to use it for ACC. I was able to use one in AMS2. Not as fast as on a wheel for sure but using little sticks and buttons as opposed to a full driving sim rig, it would be somewhat expected.Well Forza Motorsport is terrible on PC, with no native PS controller support.
I'm not massively surprised, as for EA release it's almost certainly not a priority, and as I understand it the protocols Sony use for controllers are not as straightforward as other controllers (including MS's own Xbox ones).I'm a bit concerned about AC EVO's controller support as at present it doesn't mention PS controller support at all on the Steam page.
