I activated the key, my EVO now says [release latest back end] running.
Seems we where to slow!!I activated the key, my EVO now says [release latest back end] running.
But my game has not changed, still says offline and I do not have access to anything more.
No it is working fine, just need to go in settings and activate online.
Considering that the ACE we're playing is still in its infancy, it's nice to hear your comparison with your perspective.Drove half an hour today with 992 GT2 on Laguna Seca. Just hotlapped and I absolutely love the physics. So enjoyable. Of course the Porsche GT2 is a weapon compared to the Camaro which I drove before and I was able to clock 4 seconds better lap times. Camaro is no slouch but I think it should be that much slower in real life too.
The FFB... is it better than on AC1? Hmm... I think the jury is still out on that one. It's very good though. It's hard to tell as AC1 is already in our blood. It has been the "standard" FFB where everything is compared to. I think it's the best FFB ever. Some say rF2 but I never liked the feel of that. Taste thing of course.
But to me the driving feels a bit more like ACC than AC1. Of course I'd love to try a F1 car because those are the ones I mostly drive. It's been a long time since I drove AC1 street cars.
Now we probably realize how amazing AC1 is. This is definitely not a dramatic step up physics wise... because there isn't much you can "step up" anymore... we're so spoiled. I'd say it's just a "modernized version" of the same. But most improtantly they haven't screwed up anything fundamental. All good AC1 elements are there. The most imprortant thing is just to get that idiotic, slow ai fixed.
Graphics.... I never really cared for the graphics and eyecandy. I much rather play Richard Burns Rally Rallysimfans version than Dirt Rally 2 or EA and even RBR looks okay to me. But hey... I'm past 40 and I grew up playing those ancient Geoff Crammond F1 titles and I know where we're coming from.
Either way this is going to be amazing.
Is this a one time thing or are they going to keep popping these things up as the game goes on? Isn't this similar to what Gran Turismo does?Pass the tests to get a license and buy cars (which can be rented at any time). Doing the tests earns credits to your account.
The general view is that positive is always asinine and negative is always sensible.People have a right to complain and no thread should be an echo chamber, be that positive or negative. However, that doesn't mean if people make an asinie point, they can't be called out for it.
Games now can be updated (and Early Access means paying only once) but that's also being complained to not put an effort to release the 'full game' like the old days when there's also how Capcom produced sequels at that time. So!! Whats the point of the "SPECIAL EVENTS" ?
No XP, no $$...
I was getting Xp and credits from runs, I did the Bathurst event several times in the Porsche and was only getting credits, but the interface didn't show how much, just my bank. So!! Whats the point of the "SPECIAL EVENTS" ?
No XP, no $$...
They gave XP and credits. Please keep in mind that yesterday's point was not a test of the Special Events (so expecting them to be complete would be a mistake) but a back-end test to look for server load issues, etc., to try and understand what is needed to get the online in place for everyone. Once that's done and the Special Events, etc., are out for everyone, that will be when that's tested. So!! Whats the point of the "SPECIAL EVENTS" ?

I think the biggest boost in performance will be the next NVidia driver update.Well, yesterday I tried the game on one screen instead of three. And it runs very well. I got about 120 fps with everything on max (no DLSS) on Brands Hatch with 20 AI cars. On triple screens I get about 50-60 alone and about 30-40 with 20 AI cars. I'm wondering if "triple screen support - step 2" on the roadmap simply means optimization of that mode. Because it certainly needs optimizing. But anyway it's good to see it runs well in general. At least for me who's lucky enought to have a fairly high-end PC. Not so sure about older/weaker hardware.
Really? I thought both AC and ACC forced you to do that. Never actually tried non-surround but I certainly will now.I think the biggest boost in performance will be the next NVidia driver update. I have no idea why this game forces you to enable NVidia surround for triple screens. That's also one of the issues. The only other game that does that is Forza.
My mistake. ACC does force you to use NVidia surround. On AC, it should go to triple screen once you enter a race. The menu will show the main screen. I'm going to try ACC when I get home though just to make sure. It's been over a year since I've played ACC on 3 screens. I switched to VR.Really? I thought both AC and ACC forced you to do that. Never actually tried non-surround but I certainly will now.
And yeah that would be great, as having to use surround is really cumbersome.
DLAA is available in game but not in Nvidia side, so next update, DLAA will actualy do something in game!!!!I think the biggest boost in performance will be the next NVidia driver update.
edit: posted wrong information about NVidia Surround
Um, if DLAA is available in game then it's an Nvidia technology. Without it is either a TAA solution of the engine, or FSR 3 (which doesn't use Deep Learning as Radeon cards are not yet capable of using IA for image scaling/reconstruction).DLAA is available in game but not in Nvidia side, so next update, DLAA will actualy do something in game!!!!
