This is my first experience with an Early Access game on PC (I may have done a couple of Game Previews on Xbox, notably Grounded) and my first purchase of an Assetto Corsa game, and I feel that ACE, as of now, is exactly as the developers have informed it would be at this stage, so no deception there.

The price of admission was fair and cheaper than the highest discounts I've seen for other titles (FM, FH5), and performance has been more than reasonable, and is completely playable with a controller, even with generic support, so no gatekeeping too.

For all the above, I'm very encouraged by the game's development throughout the year and in route to its "real" launch.

Give the silly named DisplayMagician a try. It's an open-source utility for switching between different monitor configurations. It's immensely useful if you often need to change settings. I just use it for switching between a couple of monitor configs, but it can be setup to switch both audio and video settings and launch a sim with the press of a button.
Yeah, I have used it for some years now and it is a must for triple screen.
I should really learn to be more precise in my posts. I meant to write "...really cumbersome unless you use 3rd party software like DisplayMagician."

So many people forgetting what PCars 1 was like early on - some tracks were literally just a ribbon of track and no scenery.
That wasn't even really Early Access though, that was straight up buying into the development pipeline more or less from Day 1.

I suspect you couldn't do that again these days. It was a perfect storm of a bunch of people dissatisfied with Gran Turismo and Forza, a lack of serious alternatives that didn't cost an arm and a leg (cough*iRacing*cough), and a willingness to put up with jank due to no experience with early access games and seeing the jank inherent in major commercial products like GT5.

It was fun at the time, but I think a lot of that was novelty. We had never got a chance to see into the production process like this before. The first time I saw one of those scenery-less tracks was awesome. But in terms of actual fun... it wasn't that fun to play for a long, long time. And people buying into Early Access expect an incomplete game, but they expect what is there to be fundamentally fun.

ACE does this fine, there isn't much there but it works and it drives well.

Or ACC Early Access Release 1: 1 track (Nürburgring GP), 1 car (Lamborghini Huracàn GT3).
