I think game economy, car tuning, car customization, open world is huge for a sim racing game, it never been done before. Kunos have my faith and respect for what they trying to do. It could be really huge in the future.

I have give feedback on the game economy. Its a bit to easy to earn money at the moment. But thats why we give kunos feedback so we could have a good progression for final release. Same for bugs and other stuff as well.

Some can argue that its quite hard, casual players in particular. A difficulty adjustment for that would be unique for a racing title

They are most definitely going to adjust the earnings rate, and I also think it's not very balanced right now. I quite like the fact that you can switch between a more traditional progression game and a sandbox with a flick of a setting in the options. That's what I want: to have to option to choose. Not sacrificing one gameplay style at the expense of the other. I hope that's the intent, the one that allows for multiplayer tied with progression and online-saves and the sandbox, completely offline.

YT was suggesting me this video, tried it and worked pretty well on my setup (locked @60fps/4k 43" tv)
Before after 30min or so I would start to have drop from 60 to 13 every 15/20sec or so, now its stable after 2h of gameplay

The final version will have improvements in many things, I am sure that there will be an improved presentation in the Academy and other menus such as the dealership (Kunos has a much more advanced build than we think, We can saw evident improvements on the UI in last year's Christmas video)

These Academy tests are tough...

Trying to get three stars on the electric Alpine hatchback is a right pain. I'm playing on an Xbox controller.

Doesn't help that I'm having the judge perfectly jumping the lights because the 'reaction' time of the standing starts assist is woeful...

Hoping for more changes to come as this early access continues

Yeah I know, got 3 stars on the first one but really struggling to beat my 2 stars on the the 2nd one - the Escort cosworth one

Gamer Muscle, i have never followed him, i dont watch any youtube sim or simcade drivers, but he is 100% correct about how fans will react to his truth telling, just read the angry comments above! just hating on him and not stating anything of intellect. You can feel what you want.. the current FFB makes AC EVO feel simcade, and it seems that is the way many fans want it unfortunately, they want an easy feeling, easy to drive sim, which AC was not.

play with a steering wheel and it is easy. are you into sim driving at all? you cant do sim real driving with a controller, never ever.

1hr and 30min.. Is there place to just read this?

To add to your comment, I really feel like there's been an overall shift from enthusiast racing simulation, to more refined, catch-all marketing of Assetto Corsa, and that can be said based on Kuno's approach to AC Evo, as well as the reduction of Race Department to whatever this Overtake.gg garbage is now.

This isn't coming from someone who is resistant to change, it's coming from someone who has seen this **** time and time again. I'm starting to get a bit of a bad feeling overall.

I just want a sim that runs great and isn't gatekept by time investments... I want a large racing community that isn't bought out.. (thank you Jordan for not selling GTPlanet) Really, I just want games that run great and aren't gatekept by time investments. I'm sure many of us here can agree that, with the advent of Gran Turismo's career modes, we've been conditioned to 'grind' our way through racing games.

One more thing: On the comments about the force feedback - Despite not being able to launch the game for the past week.. I really, really dislike the fact that I have to search for grip by wiggling my wheel around like a madman. It feel like the game just gives very weak references for what your car can do and what the limits are. This is a bit of a contradiction from my initial impressions of the physics, but this is exactly what I disliked about ACC.
AC evo feels more like ACC than AC. ACC was a step down from AC in driving feel. ACC also had only gt3, which are probably the easiest cars to drive in real world racing due to use of so many driver aids like TC and ABS which are used in the real cars. I feel AC Evo is looking to pick up Gran Turismo players this time around, and going more the simcade route.

I think the required times for 3 stars is fair, and comparable to the CE gold in GT7. Having said that, the Alpine EV was definitely the most challenging so far for me. I tried the hot stint last night in that thing and gave up after lap 2. The understeer and lack of corner rotation is just not enjoyable.

They really need to fix the online mode disconnects. 3 academy challenges that I beat yesterday didn't count due to the game going offline.

Telling someone they can't be fast on a controller, while comparing ACE to GT7 (where a large majority of leaderboard racers are using controllers) doesn't really make sense.
