Don't quote me on this because I may be wrong. But, I think even on the PC - when you pull into the pits during a Practice session you don't see the Pit Crew animated and all that fancy stuff. I believe that only happens during a race/track day session, both online and offline...but Practice? I don't think so. If I can hold a memory for longer than 25 seconds I'll try it out in a bit.

Oh..almost forgot. @Nielsen -- as the fellas cleared up that question you had about Fast track surface varying - that's why I always say, "If you want to have a hot lap competition with friends, you need to use Optimum because it's the only surface you can accurately predict every time the track loads."

I wonder what's going to happen with that now that Wind has been turned on. Ya know? You getting a tailwind while I get a headwind. That makes Homer something-something. Go crazy? Don't mind if I do! :dunce:  :dopey:  :dunce:
Wind is forcefully turned off in hotlap mode.

I guess it depends where they're at with Custom Button Mapping, right? I think that's the last issue they need to clear up for consoles that doesn't exist on the PC version. I know they need to tweak other things, like the lobbies and such, but I'm talking about adding something brand new to the sim.

Once that's taken care of, I expect the gap between PC and console to become much, much shorter. Of course, you want the console to be a little bit behind because there are ALWAYS little hot fixes that appear after a PC update. So, you want all those added to the console update since Kunos can't just throw updated code at you guys every day, the way they can with PC players.
Yes, i have no clue how complex button mapping is to code but Stefano did allude to the fact we shouldn't be waiting as long as the last update.
I was being facetious...
I gathered, but still it was surely based on expecting the next update to take a while?

I have only driven 2 of the cars so far. So I don't know anything about the Lotus 3-Eleven yet. I know we only got the race version and not the street version. I'm assuming the race version is more powerful, faster? Gosh...I'm so far out of the loop lately, I didn't even know there was a single request for SM tires to be added to the 3-Eleven.

Have you driven any of the cars yet, Brandon? Any that you like in the pack? Dislike?

There was a big discussion about it on the AC forums because it came with Trofeo tires which are basically slicks with some tread cut into them and aren't road legal but the real car comes with street legal semi-slicks. Kinda cool to see them take the requests and get the new tires added in so quickly. I took the 3-Eleven around the Nords last night and was very impressed with it, handles very good and quick as stink.

Thanks for all of these updates...I haven't been at the top of my game. I appreciate you keeping me in the loop on these things. 👍

I agree. Super cool that they agreed to do. It saves people from having to do it themselves in CM which would invalidate their online use. This is a topic that often bugs the crap out of me. Hypercar Trofeo are the "best" tires a street legal car can have in AC, right? Then we have Hypercar Tires. Are those "better" than Semiclick tires? More grippy? Or can they just hold the grip better/longer (not wear out as quickly)? Then we have Street Tires, of course.

I understand that a car like an Aventador SV is going to come with the options that it does - Hypercar & Hypercar Trofeo tires. But doesn't that Porsche Panamera come with Hypercar Tires as it's only option? Yet, the 911 GT3 RS doesn't...nor can you change to them, only Semislicks.

I know it's not the end of the world. Names are just names, but we name things for a reason...so we can identify those things. There are more examples of some cars that only come with Semislick tires, yet they're road legal cars. At least, I believe that is true. I hope I'm not mistaking a Modded car for an official car.

Hopefully the graphical fixes include the sun shield/banner on the P1 GTR. I can't see 🤬 from cockpit/driver's eye view! Will have a look when I get home.

Are you sure that you're having trouble seeing because you're travelling at the speed of light in that thing? :D No. Seriously, I haven't tried the P1 GTR yet, but I know what you're talking about and I hate that crap. LMP1's which are hard enough to see out of often have that damn windshield banner. I feel like I'm looking through a mail slot.

Definitely not a case of speed. Haven't put my foot down because I can't see! LOL. I don't mind the windshield banner as long as the scale/perspective in the modeling is correct. The P1 GTR banner just looks oversized. So I looked up YouTube onboard videos of the car. Being conscious of seat position and driver's head position in the videos, Kunos didn't translate the perspective accurately to the gaming world IMO. One of the YT videos was Martin Brundle test driving the P1 GTR... a lot of positive feedback from Martin, including "great visibility." Sorry Martin, we must be driving different P1's. :P

The new AI is wonderful. Although having the aggressive percentage at 100 gets a bit crazy, it's so cool watching the AI cars go side by side and then have a realistic accident. It is almost surreal, as if it was a mistake made by a human.

I wonder if that includes the tiny error on the #7 Toyota TS040-HYBRID livery where the wing-mirror stalk is white and the mirror red. It should be all red. It was the first thing I noticed. Yes, I am that sad.

:embarrassed:
You've got a great eye for those LMPs, huh? I am awful...same with Formula One cars. They all look the same to me. Not necessarily year to year, of course.

Anyway, every single time someone points out a very minute detail error like you did with the TS040 I can't help but think of this quick segment of a brilliant stand-up comedy special...This part is like 20-30 seconds, I think.

The back tires clipping through the body of the car :indiff: i'm not a expert and i never seen a Laferrari in real life, But i don't think the tires are suppose to clip like that, I remember this happening in pc with the R18 E-tron aswell.

See
http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sh...en-F1-GTR-front-wheels-clipping-through-front

It just looks bad :indiff:
Ahhh! Yeah...That's definitely not good. I wonder why that might be. Is the car/suspension/tire modeled and/or set-up incorrectly? Or is the suspension being allowed to move more than it should? Was there a compression right at that point, @Chikane? Or does it always look like this from that angle? I never use follow cam.

EDIT: I just posted this as a Bug on the official forums. Thanks for sharing it...

I normally Leave the setting of the cars in default, Only filling the gas tank to full.

@ALB123 Thanks for reporting this on there forum:)
I started filling the cars to full lately too. I don't care about my lap times, so making my car heavier/slower is of no concern. I enjoy the slight difference in weight balance that some cars experience with a full tank versus 20-30 liters.

I don't think there's anything can be done about the wheel clipping, Unless they add something new to the Physics I don't think there is a way of stopping wheel travel where you want in AC. They might just raise the ride height of the car which may be the wrong thing to do.

If it models bump stops and suspension travel properly, it shouldn't have wheels clipping through the bodywork. There might just be some wrong calculations in the suspension model for that particular car. I can't see it being impossible for them to fix.
I'm not sure. Surely it's the same issue as when a car crashes into you at full speed whilst being in cockpit view and you can see the car enter your cabin?

Also this happened a while back. I broke the suspension, and the wheels clipped here too.

Well if the suspension model is allowing the suspension to travel way further than real life, there's something wrong with it. The car in that picture is also clipping through the ground, I thought bottoming out was modeled in AC.

Edit: Basically, if the suspension is broken, it should be collapsed to the very lowest point it could go to irl, not just sent the back half of the car through the road and the back wheels through the bodywork. Someone should probably report this behaviour to Kunos, as surely it's not meant to be like that.
