This took me all morning (thanks to the atrocious ***** mapping). Some Team Candy / Team Tyrrell skins for the RSS F79 :

Nose stripes aren't aligned but I couldnae be arsed anymore - as I said above the mapping is all over the bloody place.

Still better than the OG skin up on RD, though.

I did my litlle Dr Frankenstein on your skins (thank you and they will be the only other "historical" skins I will use with, obviously, the JPS, green Martini and the Rebaque because this Tyrrell was barely a total "clone" of the Lotus 79 ^^).
I changed tyres, helmets, glasses of the helmets and Ui (not really accuracy anyway but It's historically and visually better in my opinion) !

The only annoying "problem" is the Pironi's car which got the number "3". ;)

Anyone know what would cause the AO layer for a mod to suddenly go black:confused:
I select the body in CM Showroon and when I try to calculate the AO layer it just gives me a black screen. I can generate a mesh map but no AO layer. BTW, I was able to generate an AO layer for it previously. Is there a setting when exporting from 3dSimEd that may have disabled the AO?:confused:

No need to give up.
You need to enable viewing hidden files and folders within Windows Explorer. Search this on google and it will pop up with many examples how.
Then you can see the folder AppData that they are talking about. You're going to want to do this because this isn't the last time you're going to be going in there.

Hi! maybe your Windows is set to hide system files and folders. Try this:

1 - Press the Windows-key + R
2 - Paste this %LOCALAPPDATA%
3 - Press Enter

EDIT: Windows-key is that one between CRTL and ALT with a window icon.

Have you got "fully Transparent" unticked in the settings?

it's a pity that the ginetta gt5 does not have many skins
 
Unfortunately neither setting works. One gives me a totally black square, the other an empty, semi-transparent square :(

The transparent one can be made visible by using the Alpha to 255 plugin in Paint.net (not sure what the equivalent is for photoshop) but if it's coming out black with that box unticked then I'm not sure.
What car is it and I'll take a look if you want.

It's the Celica RS version. The problem doesn't occur with the CS version. I've been fiddling with it a bit and I'm not sure what I may have done to the kn5 to cause the issue.

Weirdly the wireframe mapping is there but the AO map is a blue square with a red dot in the corner so no idea. Is it different to the CS AO?

Only difference is that I removed the rocker stripe fom the RS model so it can be painted over. I guess I can use the AO from the RS and shade over the stripe, I'm just wondering what happened to the AO? It's got to be something that happened to the model when I was working on it:boggled:

I get the same thing with the CS version as well. The AO map is just a coloured square. How did you get the AO map before as there must have been one cause I have one in my backup folder from the original test mod.

If you don't have previous version, the Ginetta G55 GT4 on Shaun Clarke web site doesn't contain associated fonts.
Here they are. Download the following file, rename as zip and extract in assettocorsa\content\fonts folder

That's odd, my CS version generates an AO layer perfectly. I can send it over if you want it. The plot thickens...
 
@PepperoniAC24 the grass at Longford currently looks like this at my config:

In the Longford folder itself there is a extension folder with a config but I also have the longford67.ini in my loaded folder from github. Which one is the most actual and best version? Maybe @slider666 do you know?
 
This is the one with no roadside barriers yes?

May I ask where you got the road and elevation data for the route? It's more accurate than the other full length version from RD but it's still quite a way off the real course. If you ever do get around to doing updates and need any information/pictures then let me know, I've been round the real course probably a hundred times or more and would be happy to help improve it.
Yes, it's kind of free-roam in that respect... ;^) The elevations are straight out of google maps, with a lot of by-eye adjustment using youtube video of Mark Higgins. I'd really like to re-do it from scratch using lidar data, but the only stuff available for the isle of man is not free. When I checked some time ago, they wanted around 7000 pounds for it. That said, if everyone who's downloaded it gave me 50p I could buy it...

Just trying to workout what's actually been updated and what hasn't. Looking at the GT4 it looks the same as the one from the beginning of last month and according to the post on the other page it's been BOP'ed to match Kunos GT4 cars but is still quite a bit faster so who knows lol
