Rename AssettoCorsa.exe to
AssettoCorsa_original.exe and then put Content Manager as a new AssettoCorsa.exe.

It will then act as an original launcher, including Steam overlay you'll still be able to run the original launcher from CM.

If this doesn't work, force launch 32bit and see it it loads the race.

Very naive question, but how do I modify the CM to be the AssettoCorsa.exe?

Edit: I've made it. It started fine with 32bit. But it's at 10 fps

If it works @32 bit there's no need to modify .exe as many others above have said you have a bad mod somewhere

Because it's a monumental pain in the ass to do, I believe.

Changing the animation's times is easy, can't speak for tweaking the positioning as I don't know how to do that, only to swap in and out different drivers.

I often find myself disabling the shifting animations in mods if they are so badly out-of-synch. It can be quite an immersion-breaker in VR.
There's an easy tweak (can't remember what exactly) to get the driver to reach for the knob in anticipation of a shift so that the action looks a lot more natural, but a lot of modders just have the driver grabbing the stick at lightning speed once you perform the actual shift, which looks AWFUL.

I posted one of these a few months back; it's an accurate enough description. These are the values I use in cars with this issue, just need to change the "PRELOAD_RPM" to suit the car, perhaps give these a try?

In driver3d.ini -

[SHIFT_ANIMATION]
BLEND_TIME=140 - Time it takes the driver's hand to reach from the wheel towards the shifter.
POSITIVE_TIME=400 - Time it takes to grab the shifter and change into gear
STATIC_TIME=120 - How long the driver keeps they're hand on the shifter
NEGATIVE_TIME=400 - Time it takes the driver's hand to let go of the shifter and start heading back towards the wheel
PRELOAD_RPM=7400 - The driver will reach for the shifter after the engine has exceeded this specified engine RPM, or take their hand off the shifter if you fall below this specified RPM.

Forgot to mention that I set PRELOAD_RPM around about 500rpm before I would normally upshift. So in this instance this is what those settings above look like, well at least on a controller, with preload set to 7800 in a car that wants to shift at about 8.2K.

hi all. It was an old version of m5 e60, I deleted it when a new one came out at the end of 2016, but there was another sound
i tried to find this version again, but unsuccessfully. If someone has it, please share

Guys, my heart can't take this AssettoLand drama. In the space of 1 minute I went from :nervous: not again --> 🤬 it's really gone --> :( maybe forever this time? --> **** you SimDream --> :indiff: oh well all good things must come to an end --> what's this, a new site? --> :dopey: :D  fsadnfhdsblfdsklfda it's really back, there is a GOD after all !!!!!11one11!!!one :gtpflag:

What I can't understand is, didn't AL said they will check with the mod owners from now on if it's okay to host their mods on the site? How did SimDream's mods get hosted if they are going to get pissy about it?

AL uploads mods with permission from the original author, but not from SimDream, RTM and Assetto Garage. Only however if the mod have been made from scratch. I find it strange people like RTM and SimDream can claim DMCA rights when their mods is ripped from other games and modders.

Ah gotcha. Still, it's like playing with fire though. Maybe AL can just "tweak" those mods a little and then publish it as their own. Fight fire with fire right?

I need your help
I have redownloaded AC, I had a full back up of all my cars and track, but I do not have a full back up of all the fonts, so some of the mod cars do not have data in the dash.
could you please share with me your Fonts folder
while at it, the texture folder could also help with some missing textures.
Thank you in advance.
From now on I will back up the font and texture folder on top of the cars and track folder.

Does anyone have problems with the good and bad weather? When I start Assetto it starts with locked 60 fps (although I don't have that option enabled), then, when I restart it, it drops to 30 fps, locked. And then when I restart it yet again it drops to 10 fps, regardless of the graphical quality.

No problems at all for me...

@BrandonW77 those problems that have popped up for you...I wouldn't be surprised if they were related to Windows Updates. A recent Windows Update farked up Content Manager for me. Whenever I get a notification that there is a new version of CM to download, I can't just click that box for the auto-install of the CM update. Nope...Not anymore. If I do I get a weird "ownership error" even though I am an Admin and listed as the file owner. So, I have to go into the directory and manually run the CM Update.exe - not the end of the world, but a pain in the arse and it sucks that Windows did this to me in the first place. Also, for some reason Windows isn't loading my Logitech controller software properly. Even though it's always running in my system tray, I have to double-click it to open and then close it otherwise I get an error in Content Manager. Way to go Windows....Thanks, Redmond!

EDIT: Oh man...I just started testing a new track with the author. It's awesome! Gonna be a while before we see it on Race Department. Just so happy to see so much great work continue for Assetto Corsa after Kunos turned the lights off on development. The mod scene has never been better! :D

A brand new track never seen before in Assetto?
A real-life venue or a fantasy one?
A circuit or p2p?

MOAR INFOS PLS

Just updating my issue: that problem is gone. The external HDMI output from my laptop is broken, that led me to reinstall the older version of the gbW and the files conflicted. I updated the gbW once I found out the problem and it's running fine.

Now, having a older laptop with a single HDMI port that is broken means that I can't use any external display, which makes the game unplayable with my wheel :(

Does anyone know if there's an app or something that allows us to voice chat in this game? Pretty silly that the game doesn't support voice chat.

Actually. There are two tracks. One real...one kind of real. Both complete circuits. Plus, Fat-Alfie's Deutschlandring is coming along nicely too. I don't think it will have the same impact that Feldbergring had with the AC community, but it's still a really cool track, in my opinion.

That sucks man. That's how I play Assetto Corsa too - thru the single HDMI output on my laptop. In my case, however, I also have 2 Mini-DisplayPort ports which could be used if my HDMI connection died.

Have you checked out Content Manager lately? There is some option in there about Discord - I'm assuming some type of integration if it's got something to do with CM.

I haven't got a clue where I am with Assettoland any more. I'm downloading a bunch of cars that I *think* are new, only to find that I've already got them.
I hope they don't relocate again.

You definitely have to update us when the tracks can be downloaded. Can`t wait for another Feldbergring like track:drool:

Make sure what you have and what you don't have. It's easy to organize mods with CM.

I have the latest version of CM but I don't see this option. Besides....don't the other drivers in the server need to be in discord in order to hear me? I want something that will allow them to hear me that's *built in* the game, without them needing to be in discord/skype/whatever.
