Whilst waiting for the 400gb transfer onto the new pc, i tried out the base game then went back to my screenshots with the newest sol alpha & csp. What a difference it makes. A decent track & car with those additions delivers a beautiful looking game. Looks even better in motion.

Who and Why is this SimDream group so powerful to take down some good mods? Glad I have this car mod. I bet Bazza is not too
pleased with what is going on. I thought this car mod was Bazza's own original work? I guess we better start grabbing our
favorite mods now, cause they may be taken down in the near future by this idiotic group. Too bad.

I think at this point something seriously needs to be done about Sim dream for the good of the community sake, didn't someone mention they have ripped forza content for sale? Get that flagged up to the original creators might get something done about them?
 
That line is also on by default in the nissan gt3, here is its section

but it still happily slams into reverse while moving forward. (i did rename the data.acd) so guess must be somewhere else still

this setting works properly, so kinda the exact opposite of what we thought,
this still stops you shifting down on overrev to a lower gear, and wont allow you to shift to N or R while rolling forward. Also, if you just delete the entire downshift protection section this appears to be the default behavior as well.

Yes, easiest way done with config.ini
What track is that one? Maybe it's done yet and you just missed the ini?

Thanks for the reply. It's rather an old and not very famous track, so maybe there's no config.ini done. Do you know how can I do it?
 
Bazza's media fire account just got DMCA'd by SimDream and had his download for the 1500cc Mod taken down, by the way.

The truth is that a long time ago I did not enter the DR, it makes me dizzy to update things and do not use your masks at all, if I used masks from 2017 to take the hood and roof as a reference, but I did not find where to get it to prove it. I don't get paid, so I'm not interested in making the authorship of something I don't

Is it publicly downloadable? Or just send it me per PM and I'll take a look and it explain it if ya like.
Mainly it's identify that mesh or materials and set blend_mode to alpha_test:

That's same reason legit payware mods rename the cars and hide logos to get past copyright. As freeware mods don't charge any fee they have floated under the legal radar. To be honest pretty surprised how Sim Dream have lasted for years now with no such trouble as of yet

What will catch me out is when simdream is gone, who would be the person to get all their mods together into one massive free pack?
(I'm not asking for them btw I'm genuine serious on wondering who'd leak them for free)

I'm not sure I understand this post...
The lines above are exactly what I suggested to try. In the meanwhile I added these today for a couple of cars and it worked fine. No more accidental shifting in neutral.
Or is this what you meant ?

general misunderstanding I think, your posts suggested to add those two lines with a value of 0, the value needs to be 1. Presumably you meant add the lines you posted, but, change the value to 1 (which I guess was self evident.)

OK, my bad, I copied/paste the original line (if present) in the post. Obviously to have the lock active it needs to be LOCK_N=1.
I corrected it in my post.
But this way it works right ?

Velopark probably one of the best tracks out there, its short and sweet, and because of that making mistakes is punished even more.

Do Do Do - Update Time. I'm trying not to spam this thread, so I waited a day...

All of this stuff is work in progress, so whilst criticism is welcome, don't be too harsh please. you'll be pleased to note none of these tracks contain a Ferris wheel or any hot air balloons... yet ;).

First Up we have some updates to the Grand Tour Celebrity Face Off track. It's looking pretty good now, and is super fun to drive. I have added the AI support, so this one is very close to getting released for free on Race Department.

@safi hellie has also made a fantastic set of cameras too! these will be included in the upcoming release. For anybody that might have missed it you can see it here.



Next up, I have done a fair bit of work on my version of Mallory Park still some work to do, but here is a side by side comparison. It jumps around a bit because my driving in the game isn't quite up to scratch compared to the IRL video.



Finally, I have been working on a Fantasy Circuit, along the same vein as 'Cathedral Rock'

This one is called Dunsdale Circuit - Name can change if anybody can come up with anything better - it's a mish mash of a few circuits. basically the premise is What if the Nuburgring and Bathurst had a baby? but it was raised at Mt. Akina???? - Dunsdale that's what!

This latest update adds a lot more scenery, some Kerbs, animated water, some track layout changes and some experimental trackside 'branding' i'd appreciate everyone's thoughts.

Check out the video below for an onboard lap and then a seemingly drunk pilot trying to fly a drone over the track at the end... (it's a good job there's no balloons yet as some of them would totally be popped.

As you can see there are a fair few layouts here - the full circuit, a top speed test, a tōge route, a twisty street circuit-esque bit and various combinations of them all.

It is pretty obvious to me that, if you make a skin based on a real life livery, you can't then say someone has copied it, no?

The whole point is it IS going to look the same....
Utter madness.

All a bit 'facebook beefs' IMO.... not sure what is going on...
 
Hi All

After seeing the fantastic work that gutbomb is doing on his ACT DOPE project and almost losing all my AC downloads while upgrading to an SSD
I have been thinking about creating a list of the tracks for AC I have downloaded with the extra little bits like lighting kn5's from resources like github and discord.

So far I have just over 500 tracks and roads for AC with just over 120 having working lighting.
I would probably create new share mod links for each?

Just to clarify I am not a creator just an end user that is putting things in one place for easy access.


I just wondered if there would be much interest in this?
Totally open to ideas and suggestions.

Who knows it may even revive some older mods?

Either Do not blink or the Eye drier?
 
Sol config app is hard to config. Each value you alter resets the sky and the overall lightning around you, so it's hard to find a sweet spot.
After a few trials, I've concluded the best solution is to set sol values to default, and then apply the A3PP filter.
Anyone got a better sugestion?
