I know that there are some other BTCC fans around here, I love the subaru but it does not exist in Assetto Corsa so I found a version of CIracesonline (DEL MOD EXTREME) and I started playing to recreate a SKIN that I love about BTCC. Whoever wants to download it is on the web

http://lr19skins.simplesite.com

I hope this time no one says to steal anything without mentioning ... although that never happened ...

Wow. Thank you for this. I really like your skins, they are top level quality. The Extreme cars from Ciraceonline are a bit too powerful for regular BTCC cars, but now I might just do a version of this that is BOPed to other cars. You are pouring the skins out almost daily. Been a regular visitor of your Web site. Very impressed. I saw on you page, you made a skin for Toyota Corolla TN clase 3 car from ALEJO1633. I really like his Cruze, Vento and Tipo Competizione. Very nice cars indeed. But I don't see the Corolla on RD. Do you know where to find it? And is he gonna make some more TN clase 3 cars (focus, civic, c4, 408)? That would be excellent to have a full grid.

and even better news for VR users

i do not understand, I am using my oculus CV1 without any plug in, what am I missing, what should I do to get better performance?
I am assuming we are talking FPS here, not sharper image. PM me please if this feels like OT.

Don't really get the point neither. And reading the RHM topic

FAQ
Does it work in VR?
No.

So I'm lost.

edit: ok, found a post at RD.
first, RHM doesn't work in VR for ACC but works fine in VR with AC.
And if we are using RHM in VR, it will use less CPU power than before.
Nevertheless, what the point of using RHM in VR ? extra effect like shaking ?

unfortunately RD does have good UI to change or update your resources easily
Yes I did that, but I can't find the "upload" button, only "download" is available

Well first of all thanks. Yes, I have been doing 1 or 2 skins per day, the mandatory quarantine brings me boring. The corolla is WIP asked me for the skins before finishing the car and I know it is quite complicated. in the gifts section of my website there is a mod with all the TN cars converted from the Rfactor mod, which have some physical problems, especially the height of the car and understeer

Gothenburg City Race
v0.8

The original Track is from STCC – The Game by SimBin Development.
GTR2 conversion by Bruno Gourdo.
Assetto Corsa conversion by nrms.

A very fun short tight track based in the harbour of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Thanks to LSM for the AI lines, safi hellie for the cameras and Slider for testing and config additions.
Many many thanks to SimBin and Bruno Gourdo!

This is my first full track convert for Assetto Corsa, I hope some of you enjoy it!
nrms

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Comparing tracks, I also have the Gothenburg track from Gilles75 and your track is far better than Gilles. Great design for your
first track layout. Both tracks are essentially the same design. Your track has great textures and has a nice added small roughness
to it which make it more realistic, where Gilles track is very smooth and no textures to the main track . Really Enjoy the night lighting.

Drivers beware of flying into the pit area with a F1 car, wow, what a narrow pit entrance. hehe

Great Job norms.

Dave

Thanks for the tip!
I love these cars and your skins are good.

OK, WOW, just finished downloading, what a pack. I don't even care if some of it isn't even finished, some goodness in here even if some of it is DIY.

I did some digging on this Legion (the dude behind the Donkervoort D8 GTO) and found his blog with a whole bunch of vintage tracks on it, most of which are new to me so hopefully new to you too. Imola pre-'73 I've already got as Imola '72 (but this new one seems to have better AI), and the historic/vintage Monacos have appeared before, but others I've never seen. There are new layouts to existing tracks too (eg Bilster Berg, Zandvoort). A few of the tracks are really quite good. Historic Laguna Seca is an acid-trip disaster, and don't drive Stardust in bright sun if you value your eyesight, but tracks like Adelaide, Lime Rock Mountain, and Warwick Farm are pretty good.
https://perendinator.blogspot.com/

He's BoP'd a few cars on there too.

Sorry to bring your post back from the dead @Masscot. I just finished some fun Porknose races on Legion's Stardust and I had to look around to see if you or any of our skin gurus made a skin for it. There's not much signage to skin but what is there would benefit greatly from a few historical textures/signs. @Masscot, et al, would you or have you considered skinning Stardust? Available on his blog of course.

I'm in the same boat as you since last year. :odd:
Ugh, right there with you, brother. I know that place is still alive, because there are very recent posts, but no one new seems to be able to join. Shame.

Thx for this great mod ! The car drive well and fun , just 1 little non-critical issue here is when launching the showroom.

After a days hard slog I can release the Aston Martin AMR1 V8 Group C car. Made a few skins myself as only came with one from the Forza rip.

PM me any errors please and I will try and fix and of course if someone can improve the physics please send to me.

Any chance someone has these cars, the extreme pack plus the subaru and the volvo and alfa 156, and is willing to share?

GUERILLA Mods - BMW M2 CS Racing (BETA)

hey guys!
this is our 10k members thank you special :bowdown:

Thanks for this ... and I do hope you keep posting any and/or all of your mods here as there are many of us who 'don't do facebook', but we still enjoy and are grateful for your team's work. :)

Is the Sin R1 on the agenda for a public release any time soon?

Thanks Dave, glad you are enjoying the track and thanks for the positive comments :cheers:

I have these 15 cars for a few months and I remember, when I tested them, never drive any again, due the odd handling.
It is a pity, because they are a class (power/car model), that I enjoy.
Anyway, maybe somone knows and want to make something with them. Shame I can't, or I would. :guilty:

Man, I am so freakin' humbled by how hard I've been trying to get grassfx to work on tracks and it never working. It just hasn't clicked for me yet. Frustrated.

There's a tool called track config builder that might help you get the concept down.
The key part is just naming the material you want it to grow on. To find that, you have to unpack the kn5 and look at what the grass material is called.

[GRASS_FX]
GRASS_MATERIALS = (xxxxxxxxxxx) <-------
OCCLUDING_MATERIALS_ALPHA =
OCCLUDING_MATERIALS =
OCCLUDING_MESHES =
ORIGINAL_GRASS_MATERIALS =
TRIM_PERIOD = THURSDAY
MASK_BLUR = 1
MASK_MAIN_THRESHOLD =
MASK_MAX_LUMINANCE = 1
MASK_MIN_LUMINANCE = 0.01
SHAPE_SIZE = 1.0, 1.0
SHAPE_TIDY = 1, 0
SHAPE_CUT = 1, 0
HEIGHT_MULT = 0.1
EDGE_MULT = 3
COLOR_FACTOR = 0.95
TYPE_OFFSET = 2
TEXTURE = grass_fx/highlands.dds
TEXTURE_GRID = 8, 3

That's basically all you need and you have grass. Arrow is the important thing. I'm pretty sure you don't even need the mask and the shape stuff, those are just additional parameters that can be used. You do need the texture parameters though. There's guys in here way better than me though at making track configs.

Thanks much, man. That's what's got me frustrated because it seems like I'm doing it correctly, but... See my next post. It has a track I was doing edits on that I was never able to get the grass effects to work. I'll keep trying. I don't give up, but I whine like a little girl sometimes :P

Maspalomas with TED-EDiTS

TED-EDiTS: fixed pitlane, added new skin package which replaces tree textures, darkens over-bright mountains.

I can't remember where I got this track from, but it rolled up when doing random races tonight. Did some edits and fixed the pitlane.

I'm having the hardest time getting grassfx to work on this track. :( but figure I'd post up what I've done so far.

Since installing the 1.6.2 Sol Beta I have a strange issue:

Automatically my bright lights are switched on (I have them mapped to a button on the wheel to MANUALLY control them).

Whenever I manually switch the bright lights off (just using normal driving lights) the bright lights will switch on all by themselves again soon after.

I dug through the Sol Config App and through the CSP CM settings but couldn't find anything related to "auto bright lights"

Is there a way to stop this behavior ?

Guys, weird thing. On Sergio's latest freebie Bordeu track (actually I increased the little money field thing to a buck, not sure if it was free?). Anyway, no matter what car I use on that track, I always start with the left tire/suspension broke to hell. Anyone else see this on that track, or any other track? I've tried deleting the track and reinstalling, but same issue. I think I was able to run a few laps the other day without issue, but ...

Very true ! In fact as one of the many player appreciate the great mod deliever by all world talents here, and now becoming a big hit again for this "aged" title, I personally really don't mind to pay full amount once again to Stream / Kunos if they spend time to enhance this title ( e.g. enhance multi-thread optimization for the AI cars, Ray-tracing support ? ) , it's a truly gem in sim-racing and has potential to re-invest.

I do hope Kunos can see this thread and listen to our voice !

These are the reasons to leave well enough alone, the last thing we need is to lose our game altogether due to a clumsy attempt to 'take down' Simdream or RTM.

I don't know if it's something that concerns anyone else, but personally I'm already worried at the increasing popularity of AC, the number of new mods coming out on a daily basis and the influx of new players. It's impossible to tell Steam that you never want a product updated, literally the best you can do is tell it to only update when the product is launched, or more drastically, disconnect your PC from the internet. It's not an impossibility that if AC continues to grow, other developers and even Kunos themselves become annoyed at losing sales on other titles. It would take one small update forced on the community through Steam and AC would be dead overnight.

Great car great handling but please can someone can fix or update the interior please ? its looks like a s......t!
Sry
Yep I hope Patrik Marek will soon have the time to do the interior. As far as I know, this is scratch made mod and Patrik is focusing on the physics at this stage. The physics and engine sound by ACFAN is brilliant imo, and I'm driving in dash cam so I don't mind the interior at this stage.
