I have a question. I'm about to skin a few TCR-skins. Not from WTCR, but from other championships, that are using these cars. I have multiple mods for those TCR cars, so I'm a bit in the dark about what mod I should preferable use to start skinning. I'm also a bit confused about what template I need for what mod. At the moment I'm looking for a good base for the Cupra TCR, the Audi TCR and the Hyundai TCR. But I need to be sure that I will both have a mod of decent quality AND a template that I can use. In addition I can say that I don't have Tommy 78's mod, but using/buying these mods is only an option when a template is delivered with the mod you buy. So, if someone could give me some advice, I would really appreciate this.

Thanks for your feedback! The first version AC Legends was done in collaboration with SmallBlock Hero somewhere in 2016 as far as I recollect. Not much vintage models in AC yet and we stumbled upon the Fatboy model together with some other 70's cars. We started reworking them, as many of this great community of GTP tend to do as well :) Selection of the Fatboy model was thus more opportunic then well chosen from a historic perspective. Would we've done it again 'from scratch' (as far as that definition counts for conversions anyway) I surely would have chosen your suggestion as well.

Currently we're working on an massive overhaul for the AC Legends GT cars, (All models updated to current state of CSP + wipers, lights etc and all physics rebuilt (now with suspensions from scratch and new tyremodel) but given the amount of work I dunno if we will add the above model as well. (A new 60's GTC pack will be added as well).

Glad to hear it -- this is one of those situations where the bulk of the mod pack is so meticulous and well-researched that things like placeholder models seem that much more out-of-place. I do know there is a GT Legends mod featuring this particular real-life-spec Skyline, and while I know not too many GTL/GTR2-era models translate well to AC graphically, it looks like that's where the AC Legends Porsche 906 came from and that looks pretty good to me, though I'm not the most eagle-eyed graphics fiend so who knows. I have no idea how time-consuming (or even practical/possible) "upscaling" a model like this might be, but if it works, it works.

Was there an AI change for v1.1 to v1.1.1 of Bathurst? Just did an AI 6 lapper and was one of the best AI races I've had :)
I'm pretty sure we added some extra placebo:lol:..no but seriously we didn't change anything...glad you had fun racing. A few of the team spent days tweaking and testing as much as they could...I can vouch that they really put some effort into making it as good as possible...

Quests to find a link and then a decryption key are a lot of fun and exciting!
But not everyone wants it, and not everyone can handle it :))
I could not complete this quest to the end, did not find the key, and apparently I will be left without a mod. Game over :)))
Decrypt link is usually an error on the mega.nz side when opening a link directly from third party apps like YouTube, Discord, Facebook,... If you copy the link text and paste it into your browser of choice, the link works as it should. In 95% of time, rarely the links are actually encrypted. This one was not.

So for future reference always try the method described first if you get this error.

LTK's Nissan R89C (Sprint spec.) v1.0 is out:

You may download the car by following this link to his Discord channel.

The car's Le Mans spec. version will follow later.

I think I completed my group C / GTP collection with that r89c. Thank you!!

Do you guys know of any car that I'm missing on this photo?? I downloaded all the cars that appear here just searching on this forum and some of you did some of those, so thank you very much! You're the best

Now that

While these cars are definitely a lot of fun to drive in their current state their engines are too high strung (Image 1 is from the info box for the Marcas cars in AMS. Image 2 is their default Power/Torque Curves from this mod's original ui_car.json. Image 3 is the torque curve recalculated to their true wheel-horsepower level and Image 4 is the torque curve recalculated with the power loss set at 18.4% in an attempt to match the stated torque figure from Image 1) and their weight is a bit too light compared to their specs from Automobilista; the other game that these cars appeared in that was developed by Reiza Studios. Since the Brasileiro de Marcas was licensed out to Reiza, it's likely this is the most accurate information we have for these cars.

Plus I noticed the tyres used are the 90's DTM slicks instead of a set that's more modern, which in all makes these cars feel a little too close to the 90's Super Touring cars in the way they drive than I would have expected.

Well, perhaps fix it to your liking and share it back? My only intentions were to enhance it visually. ;)

Assettopedia did a great overall job on their little-known Abarth 124 Spider but they seem to have been dormant for about 18 months on their website, forums and FB page.
Because I love driving this car so much in VR I've updated it a little and put it out as a new car to preserve the original. If you're still around, AP - hope you don't mind, and thanks for the original car.

Changelog:
Original car by AssettoPedia, v1.1 update by M 09/2020

- Windscreen tint removed, dust layer added
- Quarterlight transparency fixed, glass shaders replaced
- Navigator splash screen changed to Abarth 124 Spider logo
- Various shader tweaks
- Driver suits added
- UI updated, description in English
- Date changed to year of launch (2016)

Some more work is needed if anyone wants to improve it further (eg a small amendment to the bonnet is needed, you can just see under it into the engine bay from the cockpit at certain angles), but it's a great car already and in pretty good shape.
Wipers work and full LoDs are included for spec races too.
edit: link edited 5/9/2020, I just realised that the LoDs were pointless, they were all the same kn5, just renamed, but the first LoD had a noticeable change due to a diffuse change I made to the rear numberplate. LoDs therefore removed and the link below link updated.

Edit: NEW LINK http://www.mediafire.com/file/6wam1vn3bsnapgp/file

Why don't we add some LODs then?

Delete abarth_124_2016_lod_a.kn5 file from the cars folder then install this.

I'm very new to Assetto Corsa and this is my first racing game on PC since Live for Speed. I'm blown away. I bought AC on Xbox One and it fails to capture how beautiful this game is. Does anyone have a go-to reputable site where I can download mods?

Caveat emptor: I shall not be held responsible for the potential lack of time you may face in regards to getting anything else done in the next few months.

Hello guys.
I'm having an issue with the AI in some mods. AI is just way too slow to accelerate.

I've checked the ai.ini file and everything looks normal compared to ini files of cars that work just fine.
Any idea what else could have an effect on AI's accleration?

Some examples are the Mazda 3 Mazdaspeed, Impreza WRX STi 2011 and Megane Sport 250

Thanks

Does anyone else have the feeling that the Lost Heaven track has the wrong proportions? I mean, the cars look very small.

You shrank the cars. I shrank the tracks.

You give me your cars and I give you my tracks.

You're joking. you ARE responsible for his lack of time. You provided all those links, just at the same time.

I've come across with this problem with some cars (can't remember which cars just now), seems like the AI just doesn't apply the gas properly. The problem is linked to certain cars, not track's AI paths. I've tried all kinds of AI.ini-tweaks, no solution yet. I'm also interested to know if something can be done to fix this.

As a Matra yes. (not released yet)

see here.
SWEET! my favorite combo in rf2 is the EVE on Monaco Historic, a 20 lapper and I am spent for the day. WHen i have a few hours to kill and I look at the laundry list of games in my Steam library I have a very high tendency of ending up in that combo. Sadly the RF2 potato graphics being what they are, and the AI being somewhere between homocidal and/or kamikaze in nature its a bit difficult getting through a full race in one piece with all wheels attached, -but- the physics/ffb on these cas in rf2 is just great, they can be handled on the very edge and the feel of the backend starting to come loose on you aroung monaco is addictive, I give myself a pat on the back for every lap I make it around without loosing it.. ;) , would love the combo in AC on the much better looking monaco I have! Looking forward to release (any idea why some of the eve's/matra's in RF2 get to the track with a rear wing fitted and some do not? was it an optional thing in the real car these are based on?)

Hello,
Seems the F1Classics website listed above is the old one which is shut down. I dont have the new one, but if someone has the latest F1Classics website I would be interested in getting that one.

thank you for any info,
Dave
