Can’t say I’ve noticed that, I will drive it some more...
It might be my particular CPU/GPU optimisation combos in CM/CSP, that's why I asked if anyone else was getting it.

Edit: looks like a CSP issue. It happens with 0.1.66 but not 0.1.60.

I’ve been testing in 1.60 so that explains why I haven’t seen it then!

had a little play with this today and well i think its looking a little better but im not too great at this stuff, will plod along with it just for fun lol. does the rf2 version have trees rather than tree walls ?

updated Loch Drummond again. All i got to do now is try to put in some decent trees and colour the trucks and cars, just cant suss out whats going on with them also the sponsor textures seem messed up.

stuck a grass config in that i got out of Mike08's Monti Ciottoli so credits to him for that. i think it fits the track well lol.

Why the hell and who advices these guys to create a snow moto like MOD? The lack of grip is ridiculous.
This update went from nice handling to stupid unreal handling. Well done.

I guess the many years was spend to visual effects, as it seems to be the trend.

Things that still need to be fixed
- Brake light is incorrect
- OEM wheels
- Slightly detuned physics that is more like the stock Model 3 Performance
- CSP configs



this car has a great feeling specially for an EV (about weight). it surprised me so much that I've spent my whole evening (which was planned to try several cars like audi rs6, mitsubishi evo, subaru wrx sti etc.) with only this car on several tracks. thanks to you and the original creator.

btw; challenge me on Hockenheimring Short2, Bridgehampton and on any other track.

ok so the cars? I searched LMP here and all I found was comments about "grid fillers" and paid mods. ANy good collection? 2010 plus? If they are all in one place I am even happy to buy a damn mod. Been using the endurance racers one in rf2, but, has like 3 cars.. harldy authentic no matter how many skins are used.

Amazing job on this one. The power is immense as is the grip. Looking forward to further physics tweaks. I noticed the turbo boost % choice has been removed from the pre-race tuning menu.

Has anyone compared laptimes of the mod to the actual race car at LeMans (no chicane)? I'd be curious to know if they are close. The speed seems very quick.

I have 3 recent versions of this now, the RD version, the Zandervoot2020 1.31 version and some kind of post made here with someone working on skins etc but it needed retexture maybe?

Do we have one to keep an eye on or the best version so far?

I think that guys guyrs are really good, i cant stop racing the @delpinsky Honda NSX his cars feel real as they are grippy, bouncy, sticky and you really can throw them around but it bites you if you take it to far :)


ETCC 1986

This was a very fun project indeed. And useful, learned to use a little bit of Paintshop along the way. Still a novice of course, so don't be too harsh on the quality of the skins. Will probably release a V2 at some time, with a higher quality skins, when I learn some more about skinning. If you like old racing videos, here's a cool review of the season:




The cars

There were 3 clases of cars competing, the strongest class 3 (over 2500 ccm, around 350 BHP), class 2 (1700-2500 ccm, around 290 BHP, around 2-5 seconds slower a lap than class 3) and class 1 (under 1700 ccm, around 5 seconds slower than class 2). I did not add any of the class 1 cars, as it would be a too large grid and most AC tracks don’t have more than 24 pits.

Class 3

Also if you use temporal AA, use the windscreen fix in the attachment. Unpack the Ford_Sierra_RS_Cosworth_ETCC.zip and copy to your Assetto Corsa folder in your ...\Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg\extension\cars.

BOP and Preset

As said fastest Class 3 cars should be 2-5 seconds faster than fastest Class 2 cars. That doesn't mean we have 2 races in one, but that the fastest class 2 cars run along the slower class 3 cars. Just like it was IRL. Download here:

  6. Brno (old street circuit. Actually this was the last race ran on that circuit. Hoping we get the version soon in development by: @gutbomb) – 3,5 hours
  7. Zeltweg (use excellent old 1977 version of the track by @Zwiss found here on GTP. It's closest to what they ran) – 3,5 hours
  8. Nurburgring (one of the first races on the modern track - short layout) – 3,5 hours

  10. Silverstone TT Trophy (use ’86 version of the track found on Legion’s blog) – 3 hours
  11. Nogaro (use excellent version by @Zwiss found here on GTP) – 3,5 hours
  12. Zolder (also a new layout of the track for that season) – 3,5 hours

Huh? They really do feel fine to me. The Lexus seems to need a little more finessing than the Honda and the Nissan but grip levels kind of meet my abstract expectations of how cars like this should behave. I've been hooning them around Le Mans, Twin Ring Motegi and Suzuka with a massive shi-teeting grin on my face.
Did you maybe test them on a low-grip track?
Or maybe the tyres were cold - have you tried using blankets?

I think i am getting that blur effect (from the windscreen) with this mod, can the windscreen "fix" be added?
Steering and FFB feel a tad off too, heavy and not a lot of ffb from the road etc.
 
Thx Mike, the car also suffer from slow AI and would be great if someone able to fix it .
Didn't drive the car or check it in game but looked at the AI file and noticed there weren't any AI hints in it. Not sure if there is a suspension issue but you can try to put this into data and see if they move better.

They always have such great events and gatherings over at M1 Concourse. That's right down the road from me!
