I have been troubleshooting with Ilja this evening, trying different things and I think we have found a solution to the blocky smoke in the latest CSP build (and RainFX patreon builds) for VR users.
Disable 'Soft Particles' in ParticlesFX, in the extra options section.
Soft particles have been enabled for VR users in these most recent builds but it appears that there may be an issue with the depth buffer on certain configurations, so if you are having an issue with smoke looking not as good as it used to (ie blocky, low framerate dissipation etc) then disable soft particles until a permanent solution is found.
It seems to have worked for me.

The Keimola Motor Stadium was a dedicated race track located in Vantaa, Finland. It was founded by Finnish racing driver Curt Lincoln after the closure of the Eläintarha track in 1963. Construction started in 1965 and the track was opened on 12 June 1966. The track was 3.3 km (2.1 mi) long, consisting of eight turns and a 1 km (0.62 mi) home straight. Multiple racing series, including Formula Two, Formula Vee and Interserie, raced on the track during the years it was used. After many years of financial difficulties, the track was abandoned in late 1978. For many years of decay, there are plans to transform it into a residential area.

(note: there are new apartments there now, but the tower has been "artfully modernized".

@Masscot are you in charge of flying objects for Le Mans FM7 track? if so i found a rogue heli flying backward on Le Mans FM7 1.7 round the back of the track :)
No, that was not me, that was 'nobody'... but I've been expecting to get blamed for it, lol.
I think you have to swap some files for CSP users to get the correct helicopters... not exactly sure, I haven't done it myself yet. I saw the same backwards helicopter myself today.

Great car.
One question: when I stopped on track it was all black smoke coming from the exhaust. I did not damage the engine and it's not a Diesel... :D ... but it has the looks.
Is it maybe some CSP setting that causes this, or do others get the same ?

(At the moment I took the picture most of the smoke had already dissolved, but still...)

Edit: ...and would it be possible to get those good looking wipers functional ?...

I don't know if it could be better but there is no sunlight enter into interior (and there is no reflections on interior textures), could you improve this ? Maybe shader or materials isn't with good parameters ...

Try different CSP builds - I had this with another car recently. On one build there would be no shadows in the cockpit, on another build shadows were normal. It was like the glass was occluding the light.
 
that track was actually a very old version of the track released here by the GTP crew (whomever that is?), missing a lot of stuff, it since had about three updates, and I did the sattelite version on the weekend. a few pages back now. Still 1.31, onlt difference is it uses ksPerPixel for the road instead of the special road shader with normal maps, not sure how big a difference it makes.
The sattelite imagery really does add a lot to the overall feel of the track! Love that. I've taken a look at it tonight and I'll add the original road back in, and fix some of the gravel and tarmac runoffs that have partly disappeared. Shouldn't be too difficult, but as I'm by no means a pro at it it might take me some days :)

Had high hopes for these but aren't they pretty horrible to drive? It seems like there's something fundamentally wrong with the physics of the Ford, the way the wheel loads up when cornering and then oscillates like feck on exit. It's like some suspension components are on upside down or something.
Sorry for the delayed response. I took a break from AC and also got a new PC. I wonder if this is the same issue as with the Mini Cooper JCW from Pessio. Anyways, I no longer have this mod. Did some purging with the new PC. Only the ATCC Group A cars from this Aussie mod group made my cut for the new PC.
 
What are your example times at Le mans FM7 (no chicane) 2019 skins?
I'm curious to see if i can get this car around at a similar pace to others :)

This car from @Shokeus is fantastic to drive, thanks to the fix from @ales100i and the absolutely transformed FFB thanks to the FFB CLips app as introduced by @m0parsrt10 i cant get enough of this thing, it handles great, sounds great, and loves to be thrown around, it feels exactly like i expect a high end sports car to feel, its tremendous! It just begs you to drive it again, fantastic!

Let me know your times at Le mans, i dont know Le mans very much its not a track i like or enjoy or race much at all, but im happy to do a trial and give you some times from someone new to that car/track combo :)

I just ran a pair of 3:35's with the newest version of the 961. It is great around LeMans. Curious to know what others run as well.

I was excited to see this release, then disappointed after driving them, then excited to see an update, then disappointed again. Unfortunately, these cars can't be pushed to and beyond the limit (like you do in real life). I think the steering ratios are screwed up, and there's issues with the level of grip. I would agree that earlier iterations were too easy to drive with too much grip, but now they're at the other extreme. I've given them all a chance, running at least 20 laps on different tracks, and even driving them again after I rested because I thought maybe I was tired and grumpy the first time. In their current state, they remind me of something from iRacing. For now, I'm moving on to something else I actually enjoy driving that reminds me of doing the real thing.

...now for some exhilarating laps in the RSS Formula Hybrid 2020.

Anyone here with the RSS 1990 V12 notice that AI keep diving into the pits after just 5 or so laps in short races? They do come back out but only after a very long pitstop . . . ruins races against them. I don't know what setting I could even change for the AI, I have already disabled all CSP AI behaviour.

Isn't the modder the responsable for the amount fuel inside AI files?
No problem, as long as the visuals are fabulous along with the visuals APPS, all is fine.

Are you sure 2 are enough? One for low revs and one for high revs is ok?

Changes:
- New Terrain Mesh, fixed some holes etc for UVUnwrap.
- Painted out as many shadows/walls as i could find, expect more, have fun painting.
- New GrassFX and RainFX, alter to taste.

Known Bugs:
- Road colour/texture needs to be reverted to original shader
(Can be fixed by original release team?)
- Layouts need to be fixed, first one does not work.

Hey, I love what you did with the track. It's a more realistic feel now with proper surroundings. Could you maybe take a look at one thing. At entry to turn 1, on the right side, just where the wall meets the pit exit, there is an invisible wall. Is this something you can fix?

That means that fuel consumption estimates are wrong. This is a value that is stored in: fuel_cons.ini in the data folder of the car. The file looks like this:

I'm not able to check the exact data for the car right now. But whatever value is there after the = is too high apparently. Try lowering this number to half as a dirty fix. But this should be properly calculated based on the actual consumption data of the car. I can take a look at it later today.

Also the problem you have should only happen in quick races. If you do practise or qualifying for the race and allow the AI do to ar least 3 laps there, then this problem should go away. Because that is how long the AI needs to calculate the actual consumption on that track and then it doesn't read the data from fuel_cons.ini anymore.

Hum I don't think it's a CSP problem, please let me explain what I mean with a picture :

You could see on the same place on the same track kunos 911 GT3R have sunlight (or reflection on textures I don't know) on dashboard and rollcage, but I have nothing with the 961.

have a look for the invisible wall being reported by @ales100i as well if you don't mind, and look forward to the fixed up version!

really enjoy Dirt 2, has a wierd bug in it though, Id have played it easily as much as say rf2, but steam reports it wrongly, this is a staple for rally racing, the WRC stuff is just too arcade like for my taste. ANd yes, that is a LOT less than I paid for it ;), also, VR is the ONLY way to play DR2, the FOV on triple screen is just terrible, wierd they got VR working so well but didnt offer triple screen support. (if you do not have it already, add richard burns rally and all the aftermarket addons and plugins, also damn good rally if somewhat dated graphics)

Edit: looks like a CSP issue. It happens with 0.1.66 but not 0.1.60.

I too backed off to 1.60, every time I start CM i get that warning that FTH has been triggered.. hope they can get that sorted.


@NeilB1971 many many thanks, this was an awesome pack, all the cars, all the layouts, in one simple to download and isntall package, if you have other "packs" I would love to know about them please.

I noticed some "stuck in midair" objects going around the chicanes, not sure if issue with track or CSP, they look like maybe tyre bits / marbles flicked up then stuck in midair, but with Neils LMP grid.. not that noticeable when all thats on the mind is surviving between the pack on the first 2-3 laps. Would be nice to know a fix though. And yes the backwards Heli.. I just imagine its an overweight guy in his late 40's that won the lotto, dumped the wife, and is flying his heli over lemans, when suddenly, he spotted his ex wife..
