We got some spies with cameras hiding in bushes during test runs guys, that's what they found ;)
It needs just a couple of days to polish it so it's happening this week unless something really serious hold us back 👍
If anyone knows how to set a server for a funrace and would like to race together after the release then message me here in PM or on Discord!

One of the best things I ever did was set up a 'hide all apps' button on my wheel. When I start a session I have all the useful apps like BLM Car, Onboard Settings, WeatherFX debug, etc etc (all the ones I might need to change weather, time of day, driver position, mirrors etc etc) appear by default, then after I've adjusted anything I want to they all disappear with one button press. It's so much quicker and easier.
No more navigating the side bar just to be able to raise the POV or adjust a mirror.
Great tip!
But what if I want to hide all apps (like POV, weather) yet keep gears, map, lap time on screen still. Would that be possible?
Edit
I see you answered this question already

Hello,

Just a quick question on this RainFX enhancment. There have been many RainFX addons to various tracks yet the RainFX mod has not been officially released so those mods are useless to me. I did not sign up to be a tester for this mod and did not want to spend my time on this and awaiting for official release.

So my question is, Does anybody in the test group know when the RainFX mod will be officially released for everyone to use??

thanks and take care.

OK so to clarify some things.
To access the rain fx costs as little or as much as you wish. So can be £1.
(i know variances in world economies mean that £1 is a lot, but in the UK if £1 was a struggle then i should not be playing computer games and maybe sort my life out...)

Further to that it isn't necessarily even £1 a month as you can cancel at anytime...so rain fx in its current state (it will not be worked on now i fear anyway) could be yours for £1..... with that i'd advise downloading 1.65 and 1.67 so you have copies of them....

So far so fair....

Rain fx isn't perfect right now, but definitely worth it just for the amazement the first time you load it all up.
Trust me in tests its better (visually) than ACC, Rfactor 2, AMS2, PCars 1 2 3 and DiRT.

Obviously i am not forcing people to get it, its all about personal choice, i play AC over everything else so its well worth it.

Just that it isn't a sly move to lock it behind a paywall even if it isn't in a finished state and they have moved onto this modding paradise idea..

CM, CSP and RAINFX:

I apologize if this POV is not in-line with all of you. I mean no disrespect. As a Patreon and supporter in $'s for Ilja's excellent product in Content Manager and CSP specifically, I cannot help but feel helpless with the state that we were left in. Especially with RainFX being the key reason for my patronage. Helpless because I am left with several issues I cannot resolve. Ones that I was hoping my payments would result in resolution on.

Specifically the recent releases of CSP 1.65 - 1.67. A combination of preferred features and improvements, which between them would make up a great result, but individually don't cut it. Rain for 1.65 better over 1.67, but in VR shadow bugs in 1.65 prevent use of that. Wipers and ext_config better in 1.67 better than 1.65, but all car wipers cant work in 1.67. So you are stuck with using 1.67 with features you wish to have from 1.65 etc etc. The biggest let down of all is the fact that there is no dynamic invocation of rain, combined with SOL. I know SOL 2.0 Beta 1.7 indicated an experimental option, but it required 1.67 preview 4, which I cannot seem to find. So either Steve (SOL) had some privileged access for which I felt I paid for, or he is a visionary that had a conversation with Ilja along the way that never transpired. In 1.65 you could at least invoke SOL rain if you turned off RainFX for dynamic atmosphere when needed.

I therefore ask, for just one release to appease us who supported you to get some of these defects resolved vs the empty space we stare in (a little dramatic, but your application carry that much weight).

Thank you.

Well said.

P.S. I am getting my ass whipped in league racing by a guy in Adelaide, racing on an old machine, single 24 inch monitor and a G27.. moah munny NOT EQUAL more speed or more skill.. as I am learning, ****er keeps posting 7-11s faster than rest of the field...

I swear it is not me.
One more proof that the 'size' doesn't matter!

i have bought the laserscanned transf..and since there are no updates since 6 months i asked for a refund, and all of my emails asking for the refund,no responce, so15 euros bb

You, and how many more?
AC is a/the fantastic racing game. Period.

However the possibilities are so many and so valueable, that many modders saw in it, a way to get some $€£.
Now, the heart of the question/matter, is that there are modders and there are 'modders'.

Unfortunately some 'modders' saw an opportunity, to stretch the time during development, while their 'patreons' are being feed.

Over & out.

Cheers

I'm currently looking into renting a dedicated server for anyone to use with mod content, this be a good excuse for me to expedite that process. This car on CHiQuiFReaKy Monaco /DiRT tracks could be a great deal of fun.

I agree with all of this. The current rain and wet physics is great. However I have reduced my monthly patreon payment as all I am interested in the rain and think the new idea is not my cup of tea at all.

I did a re-creation of the torrential 1976 Japanese GP at Fuji. It was spectacular.

Yes and like i said, people could cancel it all together and still have the rain fx, then if they update it (hopefully) just sign up again.

I am converting all the WRC+ from rbr

For the moment my progress is:
Fiesta WRC + 2019 80% done
Yaris WRC + 2019 70% done
i20 WRC + 2020 70% done
Polo WRC + 2017 prototype with fictional update 40% done
C4 WRC + 0% done

I asked the various authors for permission to publish a package when they are finished, we hope 👍

Supporting Ilja and a sad "thing" called self-entitlement..
the TL;DR, stop whinging, turn off RainFX until Ilja fixes it.

I write quite a bit of software for a jewellery specific CAD program, plugins, importer/exporters, and bridges betweens it and various ERP's, for 1000 lines of code that does not seem to do much, might take me a month to get it hobbling along, a month or two more in beta before I release a working version, and for sure 3-6 months of fixes as the users discover all new ways to break it. Unlike Ilja I get paid VERY handsomely for what I do because it has huge financial impact for the company, the team can output 3X as much work as they used to be able to etc..

BUT

Just because Ilja's time is consumed making essentially a grown kids game, it is not considered valuable, that however does not change the investment in time, skill, and of course software costs to him, so irrespective that I dont even use RainFX much, I happily support him, because it makes it worthwhile for him to see a return on all the effort, open CM or CSP and look at how much IS in there and working.. at some point all of that was in the state RainFX is now.

I have great respect for the rabbit he already pulled out of the hat on this, and for all the other rabbits yet to come, and it will come when it comes no doubt.

Sorry to rant, but, get my goat when people sign up to patreon for 2 bucks and whinge about how hard done by they are now that they bought him, and he works for them.. If i was doing what he was doing and copping as much **** about it as he does, I'd have hung up my hat ages ago and told everyone to go get ****ed, and left AC in the dark ages. ;)

This might be a bit controversial but eh doing a side project alongside the 996 GT2 what it is it you might ask? well.... something a bit different.
80s Car tuners are notorious for their craziness both with styling and performance Koenig/Gemballa/1000 SEL Mercs/Alpina ect... So i thought of doing one of these finding parts to make them crazy was a bit hard. Anyway here it is a tuned Countach still trying to figure out what name to give it along side making a backstory to the company that tuned/created this thing. still its not finished and i will probably change its design add more stuff to it as i work on it.
preview.jpg

Some interior changes too to give off that crazy 80S look the front dash's stitching has been changed to an expensive snake skin stitching and the other parts of the interior have been changed into classy wooden look.
__custom_showroom_1604603156.jpg

The car still needs work like the custom parts needing AO maybe even doing custom stickers for the car and placing them on the windshield and on the body. and giving the car a Performance boost planning it to achieve 750+ bhp with the added turbos and so on.
From where i got an idea to make this thing or an abomination.

Wowzers! Will you ever get to convert other rally cars from RBR as well? I personally converted one being the Lancer VI.V and since it had a bad interior, I took the one from DiRT 4/Rally (2.0) and replaced it, was also going to convert others but it seems most of them are very LQ to me like those bloody GTA SA models I swear lol.

Perhaps you could work on that one as well and I'll give it to you since I left it rot on my MEGA account lol

The @ales100i car packs are cataloged on my discord channel.
There are sections for cars, tracks and mods broken down into specific categories such as mod team or game etc.

Its a simple catalog [most channels are read only] and it uses the authors links or links directly to a thread/post made the author.

Edit: Link to the discord in on my profile and signature below, just message admin for a role.

Here are a few examples:

I made some fixes for myself to BTCC car pack, the 2019 season, and am posting it here if someone wants them. The credits go to the original creators, this are just small fixes. You still need btcc 2.1 pack from Shaun Clarke (https://shaunclarke35.wixsite.com/website/downloads), 2019 skinpack from enkay74 (https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/btcc-2019-21-car-skin-pack.183206/), this additional cars (links from readme inside enkay's pack):

- Vauxhall Astra: http://www.mediafire.com/file/p4n50fy3qs1jnx5/btcc_vauxhall_astra_V2.zip/file
- BMW M220i: https://www.mediafire.com/file/1ayduhec6upywl9/btcc_bmw_220i.zip/file
- Mercedes A45: http://www.mediafire.com/file/5689gavmezh9qst/btcc_mercedes_a45_V2.zip/file

and these 3 cars from my zip (fixes):
- BMW 125i M s1 (fixed power, as it was to slow for others)
- Subaru WRX BTCC s1 (fixed rims not spinning)
- Honda Civic FK7 btcc s1 (fixed car not loading and crashing the game)

Link to my zip

"My" cars do not overwrite the default cars, but are added as seperate cars with s1 suffix. Cars are extremly well balanced and no additional BOP is needed. Have fun and do try the new bmw m220i, it is excellent.

re up file please?

It is not a secret that I like a lot! Legions site. I'm almost sure I have maybe 80% of content.

Personally, love the 1920 to 1950 period. Today, I had a very good news. This car is there to download.

The Napier Railton, was build to fly, I mean, race hard.
If I am correct, it has a 23000 cc inside a W12 engine. LOL

Thank you Zero.

Do you know if there's a F1 version of Paul Ricard track or a skin for the current one? I tried to search on RD and "googling" but nothing came up

The link is down - did this get fixed/updated in the end?

I think he's working on it right now.

In other news I've started my first ever actual mod/conversion: Volkswagen Scirocco R

Started yesterday so very much wip. FM4 model so not the best quality but easy to learn on and this model doesn't exist non encrypted in somewhat quality. Hoping to see some tuned/custom specs when I'm done.

Also working on this but this is a hack n slash job, combining three mods to make one.
