Hello guys!

I share my Escort RS 1600 turbo BTCC class1.

Made from EarthWormJim one with his permision.

It needs some tweaks:
It has a kind of blue neon light in the ford logos when lights are on, for example.

the template for skinning is a pain in the ass 'cause has several parts.
I made the the Datapost one.

Inside the rar you will find templates and old photos of liveries.. SO skins are nedeed!! :)

The car is very fun to drive and it matches quite well with the AE86 ATCC. both compete each otger back then!

This is my first mod for the community and not the last one.

Enjoy it.

Late to the party on this one...

Good fun drive this one, I like that the tail can be brought into play when the weight is shifted to the front of the car, behaviour a lot of front drivers don't present in Assetto Corsa :)

The way i see this encryption thing and even rusty et al, is that they are the developers of AC 2.0.
If you don't like what they are doing then go back to AC vanilla where they haven't had any input.
Rusty or whoever represents the dev team and is no worse than how Ian Bell deals with people or even Stephano back in the day.

To add, i haven't just been sent as an attack dog from discord, i came here as i heard good things, but just sifted through pages and pages on encryption.

The implication here is that Rusty etc now own AC, and anyone that doesn't like what they are doing should abandon the game and leave it to them.
Newsflash: They don't. Everyone here has just as much right to use AC in exactly the way that they want to, regardless of how other people feel or what other people do.
I wasn't going to get involved in this but here is my 2 cents: People can do whatever the Hell they want with the mods they make. But they have to accept that, if they are selling those mods, people can also choose not to buy them. The modders that are encrypting their mods are potentially losing money as a direct result of that decision, and that is the call that they have to make.

Huh. I could have sworn the Patreon account I've been supporting for the last 2 years or more was Ilja's (i.e x4fab), not Rusty's group of et als?

Rusty is part of the dev team. Iija obviously likes to have him as a spokes person. He may have grown up reading how devs treat the customers with other titles and is simply projecting what he thinks is the correct behaviour...

Like it or lump it they developed AC 2.0 and want encryption to b a part of that... i doubt anything will change that.
We are already in a position that they ultimately control a lot of what makes AC still used so much today...

I think you have a bright future in marketing for populist autocrats. :P

x4fab is still the main and mostly only dev of CSP, JPG does the new physics dev, stereo (and henter in the past) a bit too sometimes.
Others are just shouting their opinion loudly and vocal. No "representation" there

Ah. The nice guy from the CSP discord sets the record straight.

Thanks leBluem. Both for being knoweldgeable, non-toxic and decent to deal with. Some of the others on the 'team' could learn a lot from your approach.

All wrong.

Just modified my previous comment, thanks a lot and sorry for the message! I was sure it was my fault, because I now how meticulous you are in your skins.

Do you not think that footage has been looked at over and over to get it as close as possible? I take pride in paying attention to details, I've been modding assetto since it came out. You need to understand there are limits to what you can and cannot do with repeat textures. You do not have the skin loaded, example sponsors are within the model, the skin changes the order to as close as possible. Liqui moly or pirelli on that corner uses the same texture as the bridge. The bridge is pirelli in real life so that corner has to be pirelli. You will then see alternate liquid moly underneath to compensate. If I post something that states its as close as absolutely possible, it means that it is absolutely as close as possible. All variants are tried out, looked at and debated as to what the best outcome is for everyone's enjoyment of realism. The pirelli bridge has more impact of being correct than a liqui moly one which would stand out as being obviously wrong. Extra 3D model parts have been added in like the rolex bridge, antenna on the building, electronic billboard, trackside boards, drs boards, even equipment inside the garages that most people don't notice. Sorry for the rant but anybody who may think I don't care about quality work is enough to stop me sleeping at night. I have seen many rubbish track skins on racedepartment and people here downloading them, reviewing them and I wonder if they can really tell the difference between quality or not. I know you mean well with your video clip which won't play I suspect as F1 links are usually removed as the FIA don't allow but I want to assure you that my work in my opinion has been the best it can be and if its not 100% I won't rest until it is. What does bother me is that someone might think I'm someone who might just chuck some bits together without doing my homework first. At the end of the day it's a game, it has mods, some of those mods are not great. I can only do my best with the limitations I face, I try and source the best track mod versions first then skin those versions so I know it won't/ can't possibly get any better.

You got that right. I had a request for a track and he immediately implemented my requests with multiple updates. No toxicity there at all. Some of the others that have been mentioned in the last several posts would have either ignored my request or told me where I could go.

has anyone done any cams for the 2018 road atlanta track? I have searched but have not found any. I did find the retexture that was recently released and think it is great.

How often should we tell that this is not the forum for asking for SDD paymods? It does not matter if they stopped selling it or not, it is still illegal (and crap).

Ye, we defenitely need more modders like him not only to realize our requests, but also teach all of us how to mod properly and convert cars and tracks from each game/source by respecting Kunos' pipeline standards (more or less).

I imagine if they ever made like some sort of Skillshare-like hub where any modder can share specific tutorial videos about AC modding, since we currently have only a handful of those on YouTube so far, just like with the amount of public rally car mods for example.
