Let´s take a look at the top quality modders that encrypt their stuff:

-IER PC13 or whatever its called (data)
-BK Audi GT3 (data)
-DDM
-Trawa
....fill me in, those are all I know
-Coli
-Rusty
-Azunyan
-Crash (Max Reusch)
-Lu Thia Kien
-Many turkish and arabic ones

These are all that I fondly know of for now, maybe I forgot a few other as well, who knows...

So, after maybe 7 months my rig is up and running again!

What have I missed? :D

Can you point me to a new track & car I MUST have?

Hi Blamer. Recent must have tracks include Bannonchbrae, Mt Tremblant, Lago Maggiorre, Port Newark. All can be found here and also:

https://tm-modding.eu/reboot-team-tracks/

New Sachsenring on Race Department is really good too.

Also, send @FileMissing a PM to get an invite to his discord. It's a treasure trove of great stuff and really well organised.

Crazy how someone can double his encrypted mod list within half an hour, almost as if the list was made without trying to look up modders who encrypt their work.

I said top modders, not just encrypted stuff. Forgot about crash and didnt know ltk encrypted their stuff, the rest ive never seen their own mods (and mostly seen the bad side of arabic mods so...). In any case, you saying that "the few people who do quality stuff", it´s almost like you said it without trying to look up modders who do quality stuff

If they have such an attitude they don't deserve to have people fix the mod for them anyway. I'd much rather have the mod be forgotten instead of having the credits section be littered with 10 different names on the 5 different versions of the car depending on who fixed what.

At least wait for Ilja to give the full details of this workshop thing he's working about before decrypting stuff because it's going to negatively impact modding.

Hello cRUSTY. Aren't you allowed to post under your usual name any more, or were you banned under that name from here as well at some point?

Compared to the amount of people that are putting out mods, i'd say that "the few that make high quality mods" is an accurate description. I know that there are people who don't encrypt their stuff, losing half of the people who make high quality stuff is a big enough loss, wouldn't you agree?

You do realise that there are more people out there with actual standards when it comes to modding right?

Maybe, but some keep slowly improving. And trawa is doing something again; private or not, how many will really be gone?

I'm not, stop being childish. I don't know what Rusty did to you for you to be so paranoid.

Oh. I'm not the least paranoid... ccccrrrrRUSTY.

EDIT: P.S. Rusty didn't do anything to me in particular. But he did bring down the vibe of the entire AC modding community by being such an aggressive whack job. Bullies who attack people with dangerous rhetoric deserve to be called out far more than people who work out how to break encryption.

Then why randomly assume that I'm some guy you don't like? I didn't even talk to you to begin with xd

Well sorry, but it is a forum for discussion... and if you're not cRUSTY, then I'm happy for you, as you wouldn't want to be. He's not a happy man.

Anyway, have a nice day. ;)

This list just looks like you scrolled through the SRP 'mod_releases' channel and picked out everyone that has released a single car. Do you have links to find some of their other work?

Coli, I've only seen the 'Porsche 944 (951) Turbo Wangan' mod by him. Are there others?
Does Rusty actually release mods? I was under the impression that he just helped others release their own work and made config files for premade mods.
Azunyan, I don't think I have a single mod by him, except for the paint used on the Abflug Supra. If that's all he's done, then I don't see why he would be on this list. Perhaps I'm missing better ones?
Crash's mods are great, but as far as I'm aware he only makes private mods now (except for the upcoming one with Arch's physics), and they seem to only be BMW's.
Lu Thia Ken, I've only seen the 962 Shorttail? Probably a good mod, but it's not a car I'm particularly interested in, and I don't think one mod qualifies you for a 'best of' list.

Here are some skins from the "Copa Shell Marcas & Pilotos" made by the Brazilian modder who posted videos yesterday, and the day before yesterday. The cars are Ford Escort XR3, Fiat Uno, VW Gol. The VW Passat and Chevrolet Chevette, he has not yet finished. The links to download and whoever wants to contribute to it are on the youtube videos themselves. Just take a look.

I might think Azunyan and Coli also mod cars for their goddamn Discords servers, but surely all private ones just for themselves to cruse around with on privately-ass made servers in groups to then flex infinite amounts of screenshots in our faces almost all the time in SRP server the most.

But what I would like to know from them is how the **** do they manage to perfectly smooth the **** out those Gran Turismo models, where we instead either leave them jagged like ass or try our half-assed best to smooth them out, but when turbo smoothing it will screw the mesh a bit and with smoothing groups, jack**** happens either. Are they like some kind of ******* magicians perhaps which they obviously don't wanna share their ****** secrets at all costs???

-Lilski
-Fat Alfie
-JohnR

-Sergio Loro
-Ben O´Bro
-a3dr
-etc

Let me recalled something again from my old memory, if you listing lot from RD absolutely they not encrypted model. I forget there's line on there (or not) that telling mod need to be non-encrypted for further checking their team to prove it original or not.

And again this one need some more comment from some modder that really try upload on RD.

Maybe he´ll share his ***** secrets if you stop using his real name

Tony filled some in, the point is there´s plenty of quality stuff made by people who don´t necessarily like their stuff be reuploaded/modified/resold as an original mod in some russian site, but still dont feel the need to encrypt (don´t how many of the RD people know about it tho)

I was going to make a snarky comment but I´ll let this lists speak for themselves.

Also, it looks like EASY is the new Gilles

For the modders that encrypt their content, I do understand their reason. It is a valid request that people should contact them about an error/recommendation/fix rather than making an edit and re-releasing the content.

However, I find it interesting that unencrypted content from LilSki/Fat Alfie/a3dr/etc don't get updated and re-released by others.

For LilSki and Fat Alfie tracks they don’t get re-edited and re-uploaded with changes because they are of sufficient quality that there doesn’t need to be any changes made to them.

Meanwhile we have people now encrypting their old rFactor converts that look like they were made in minecraft and refusing to let people help them, which is crazy. Why refuse help from other people? Doesn’t it make your job easier?

Anyways I don’t think even with heavy revision that these really old track converts will ever look the standards of Kunos content or high level mods, but with the help of the community here they could at least look nicer in some ways.

Ye that's the biggest problem I'm currently having since I'm still a noob modder trying to figure out how to deal with two kinds of models at once.

Like one from Gran Turismo and the other being the Skyline Super Silhouette from FM7 since I lately lost motivation due to the lack of textures it has since no other one has ever managed to figure out a way to rip the rest of the missing textures ever since Gamemodels staff did that years ago.

Is there a solar storm going on? Looks to me like the 2D crowd are all suffering radiation burns.

It's a real shame you won't let others help improve this. Could be a fun track, but right now, it's a horror for the eyes unfortunately. The bump at the start/finish line is also in need of attention.

RMi you da real MVP  Finally we will have almost all the fictional tracks from GRID1-3 in AC. The only ones missing are Detroit Demolition and Miami. The latter unfortunately is only in GRID 2 so I don't know if you have the source files for that.

The latest GRID game (technically GRID 4, but the official name is GRID 2019) also adds Havana and Shanghai, but who knows when that will become rip-able.
