On behalf of the Reboot Team, here are two more tracks for you guys to enjoy:

Macau Guia Circuit

and

Autodrom Most

As usual as a complete package:
- grass - lights - rain - dynamic balloons, helicopters and airliners, track logo, track description, performance tweaks...too much to sum up.

Just download, enjoy and please share away (please use the provided link so any updates and fixes can be kept in one central source).

One remark: certain cars will struggle with the hairpin at Macau (not unlike IRL)

Cheers from Reboot Team :)

I've just spent the last 4 hours driving this new Macau!

As a youngster I used to love the look of this car (Supra) - but sadly - hardly heard any positive comments about it's performance - it was basically just the looks as at that time...

Sure, but I was speaking on racing.
Gr.A regulations made them too heavy.

The white lights look very bright for me inside the car and outside as well, I have lowered "tracks lights" to 10% and it looks like in the photo, I have also lowered something, any solution?
For me it's quite the opposite, I can barely see anything at night even with track lights at 200%...
Edit: still had the _Sol_neutral_colour_linear PP filter on, with normal _Sol it looks fine

Bit of a last chance question but has anybody ever updated the road mesh of the Lausitzring?

Maybe for their private league races or so?

The last track update by the TM guys really made the track look lovely, but it's bumpy AF and thus not fun at all imho.

Another fantastic car I'm working on: Minolta Supra MA70 Gr.A JTCC 88'

Original mod from @Esprit3905.

As beautiful as unsuccessful.

You could actually make this into an actual Group A Supra MA70 to end all Group A Supras MA70 we currently have in AC so far, here's some images of its interior if someone could hopefully ever replicate it.

This one's an onboard video with better shot of it:

I really want to like Macau but that bloody hairpin is a corner that nightmares are made of! I seem to be incapable of getting around it what so ever

If it's a question of skill, I can't help with that, lol. However, just like Monaco, many cars will be up against their steering lock to make the corner, including the above mentioned RSS 3 V6. In that case I suggest cloning the car, and making a special setup for the track. This will help the ai cars as well. You'll have to be in dev mode, and be able to unpack the data.acd and play around with either the steering lock or steering ratio settings in the car.ini file. Make sure the "use unpacked data" box is ticked in the Drive screen.

This of course will make it unusable if you happen to use it for online racing, thus I suggest cloning the car. Alternatively, I guess you could back up the original data.acd by renaming or hiding it in a separate folder.

SHR Modding did a good vid on youtube on how to clone a car (in this case for installing different sounds):

I haven't driven it yet. But if it handles like s*** then it's accurate to the real car. Just watch the Top Gear episode with the Golf W12

I think its kinda accurate lol.

Yeah that video sums up the brief minutes I spent with the car lmao. Can barely make it out of a corner without a lot of care on the throttle. This would have been a real public threat if it was produced, even in small numbers. Although the thing was put together in weeks, maybe with more development, modern tech and driving aids it could have been more tameable. Still, I think it's cool that a car like this existed, at least in prototype form, and even better that it exists on AC. When I said "it could be better" I was mainly refering to the quality of the AC mod itself.

Not really keen on updating it since its a old low poly blur model. It will still look like c... even with AO and tweaks for the inside. If somebody else wants do it then go ahead. But I'm not touching that thing again.

Blur and The Grand T̶o̶u̶r̶ Turd Game models have very similar interior quality to each other, but still different due to time span of both games, tho both defenitely have almost uncannly exact gameplay and car roster type for the most part. They do all need their interiors reworked by a skilled modeler if we all wanna give some second life to both game's obscure-ass cars I really love a lot (not portrayed inside each games tho), they both have some very interesting cars which would be awesome to see them all in AC in the future hopefully.

Note about TGT models: since that game ran on an improved CryEngine now owned by Amazon called LumberYard, their textures require a program called 'RawTex' in order to convert them and deswizzle them properly once the correct settings are guessed, which requires a lot of trial and error AFAIK currently. Also they're all in CGF format, while most models' steering wheels are in ACTOR format, therefore another program called Model Researcher is needed to extract them (seems it has a PRO version, which might be the full version of it I guess).

Do you maybe still have links to those mods? I only have a fraction of them in my collection (mostly the URD and RSS ones) but you can never have too many Porsches :D

Most you will find from assettoland and others that are from here on GTPlanet, shared by guerilla from BE_Modding.

That's fantastic!
But there is just small correction.

Japanese Group A Touring car championship ('85-'93) was called as JTC ( Japan Touringcar Championship).
JTCC (Japan Touring Car Championship) was for Gr.ST Touring car championship ('94-'98).

Does anyone get really high GPU temperature with Sol 2.1? I reset all my setting to default and my GPU temp sit around 70c. Before with 2.0 it was around 40-50c. Not a big deal, but the only other game that push my GPU that high was Monster Hunter World. (Because it was unoptimized mess)

Edit: Nevermind now it around 55c. No idea how or why that happen.

here's a quick cmd (batch) file i wrote to update all your *.nusm files to their original format (it works for tar/rar/7z/zip)... aka it will remove the .nusm suffix from each file found.

  • download and rename the file from this post (then remove the .txt extension, and make sure it has the .cmd extension).
  • open the file in notepad (notepad++ preferable).
  • edit the 'set sourcedir= path to where you backup folder that contains the .nusm files. eg... set sourcedir="X:\My Assetto Backups\" (include trailing slash)
  • save the edited file.
  • open a 'cmd' prompt, navigate to where the nusmToExt.cmd file is and run it (type the filename in the cmd window and press enter to run it).
  • watch the cmd window as it will output what file it is currently processing (the script is quick).

if in doubt... first, copy a few of your .nusm files to another directory and test the script there (i have tested it locally, and it functions properly, provided the 'sourcedir' path is correct).

that should make things easier than renaming each file one-by-one.

cheers.

example of the script and output...

I tried changing the file name..but for some reason only 5-10% of the zip files still worked after changing it......so what i ended up doing is using "Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery"...to recover all the files of my AC folder....but it makes you save everything and puts it into a new folder...not replacing the original files. All the files look good now but due to room I had to save them to a external drive. Next I uninstalled my old AC and reinstalled. Is there a way after I install sol +csp can I just copy my cars and tracks etc. into my new AC folder?....or is there anyway that i can make this work without days and days of redownloading everything again?........thanks in advance!! ( If so...what folders do i need to copy over?)

Camtool for Port Newark, NJ

great stuff like all the rest of your work...thank you!

This Macau is awesome! It's got me looking for the best F3 mods that are available. Does anyone have any ideas what they are?

This is a great car for F3 "style" Super Formula car. It's an RSS 3 V6 with P2P instead of DRS, basically, and has more steering lock built in to make it through the hairpin easily. Fun car.

Another Super Formula that works well on the track:

Now that Raceroom Tracks are converted, would it be too much to ask for Ningbo, Zhejiang, Zhuhai, and Twin Ring Motegi in the future? :D

Well, i believe all of those tracks exist in AC but probably not RaceRoom converts. Motegi is a paid mod, Ningbo is under the name Yongcheng, Zhuhai was done but no links are reachable (disregarding the crap version) and there was a Zheijang mod. I don't know where you can find Zheijang but try RD and the search funciton here. I agree with you though. Alternatives, or even better versions of these tracks, are always welcome! :D
