It’ll be very unlikely but I hope ACU find a way to port tracks from Gran Turismo 6 as I miss some of those tracks dearly like Midfield Raceway, a more modern realistic Trial Mountain and all of those street circuits in places like London and Rome.

That being said I hope we start to see more ports of vehicles from GT6 as well, especially the premium stuff as some of those cars I’ve not seen in any other sim. Hell if someone updated the models and interiors for the standards cars in GT that’d be awesome, like the RTM Chevrolet Camaro LM Race Car. It would help me in slowly turning AC more and more into Gran Turismo

There are a few Gran Turismo tracks floating around in AC already. I've got Autumn Ring, Trial Mt, Grand Valley, High Speed Ring and Complex String. Quality is quite variable though and some like Trial Mt makes a lot of changes to the original layout and scenery. I know there is Midfield and Clubman Stage 5 in rFactor, but they're also a loose interpretation of the originals.

Assetto Corsa Fanboy YT channel used to be converting GT tracks until he stopped late last year and deleted vids on his channel. Dunno why, he did excellent conversions with night/wet variants too :/

They already do, you can get all the content in the game in one lump purchase for about $60-65 USD. So many of the opinions about R3E are based on years old information, the game has changed a ton in the last couple years, with some pretty mega changes on the horizon that will make it one of the most complete games on the market. Looks like after all this is implemented, about the only thing it will be missing is 24hour time cycle and weather.

If they do, can you point me to the exact link/pack to purchase? Looking at the steam page, I still see 8 different packs totalling $200. Looking at the Raceroom website itself, the most complete pack I can find is Premium Pack listed at 100 euros. It says it includes everything, but what about future content? And does it include all liveries or must that be purchased separately? Then there's the whole confusion about paying with real money or VRP :boggled: Don't get me wrong, I love trying out all kinds of sims and RRRE is definitely up there, but if you have to do hours of maths just to get the best deal and unlock all content then I'll pass.

Here you can buy VRP:

It'll save you some bucks.
The premium pack contains EVERYTHING that is available.
Any new addition after you bought the pack, you will have to pay extra.

Does anyone of you know of a download of this 1955 Mercedes 300 SLR mod - I searched the net up and down and the only references I can find is this video and another video with a dead link:

I would love to bring some life to my 1950's Le Mans grid as we are seeing now a really good Jaguar D Type mod with exquisite physics.

You are also missing Tokyo Route 246. That one has the same layout but the scenery does not look like the one from GT4/GT PSP.

It's an RTM mod. You can get it from the RTM pdf file I posted earlier.

All that is old-school thinking, and it was correct in the early days of R3E but it was never really that complicated to me. The link Fanapryde posted is the one you need. The only real math involved is converting euros to your local currency, but Google takes care of that. You can buy 10,000 VRP for 65 euros which is a smidgen over $70, so not really much more than a typical AAA title which are usually around $60-65? For some reason the store isn't showing how many VRPs are required for the Premium Pack but when I did it I still had enough left over to buy the next couple pieces of content that were released. After that, yes you have to pay for any new content, but that's not unlike DLC for any other game so I'm not sure why that would be an issue. And typically their content is pretty cheap, $2-3 for a car and maybe $5-6 for a track.

The reasoning for the VRP system is that they have contests that give away real prizes and if they did that with real money it would run afoul of several countries gambling policies. So they have to use a fake currency substitute to stay out of trouble with the federales. Not ideal for the customers but it's really not that complicated and not nearly as complicated as it used to be. It's a unique game, and has a few oddities, but when everything is right it feels very good and is really fun. Also, the R3E players are the friendliest and cleanest driving racers in the genre IMO, and the devs are awesome.

Buy your bulk VRPs here. If you want the best bang for your buck always buy bulk VRPs instead of buying directly from the store or from Steam (never ever buy any R3E content directly through Steam, you will pay more than necessary).

Is mmoga.com site safe? I checked it out and they want a lot of personal information just to buy something. My credit card company flagged them and would not process payment.

Welcome to GTPlanet, @BobbyDD.

FYI - Your post was formatted incorrectly (your comment was inside the quoted text) so I've edited and approved it. :)

All of this is 100% correct. Raceroom also has the most "cohesive" experience in my estimation. The user interface is excellent and "everything just works". No other sim will have you up and running (and putting a smile on your face) faster than R3E.

Also: THE SOUND.

I never have problems, and not sure if you cant buy as a guest. I use PayPal

Just to warn you, like every other RTM mod, it drives like a turd.
Yes I know, it is not a problem though.
I want it to fill the grid and have the AI drive reasonable laps with it.
Any issues I'll touch up as necessary, not going to drive it myself.
