Who's gutless now? I don't pay **** for pay mods. I pirate them and I'm not afraid to say that. And if I ever were in the future going to spend money on such an illegal practice I'd do so to share the paid content with others for free. Again, I have no shame for this. The shame should be on mod creators for charging money for content that requires the use of other legally registered works of a game developer (Kunos in this case), said legal works that they [the mod creators] don't legally own themselves.

You want to make money for a mesh you created? Sell it on turbosquid or another site where you can legally do so as you're then only selling the mesh that is independent from requiring others legal works.

The only people that should be allowed to legally sell content for the game are Kunos themselves.

I gotta say , that if the modding community thought the way you did , it would suck pretty badly. Look at just the difference compared to a vanilla AC , and an AC ran with CM and all the mods available. You think the vanilla mod is even in the same universe? You think Kunos is mad that modder's are doing exactly what they wanted them to do ( make mods for the game )?

And dude , you are 100% wrong about RSS. You would be wrong about URD and VRC as well. Maybe instead of throwing out blaintant claims like that , come back here with some proof to said claims?

Masscot, I'm happy to help. I have created an AI line for Alps Long Reverse with new track boundaries baked in to help keep the AI off the walls and such. I'm very happy to see so much love being given to the Alps track as it's one of my favorite conversions. With that said, when testing my AI lines I discovered that all of the AI cars attempt to load onto a single starting gate instead of each having their own. Multiple AC_START locations need to be placed within a dedicated KN5 file for the layout. Sadly, I know what needs to be done in theory, but lack the talent currently to accomplish it. Here is the link to the long reverse AI. Should I continue to pursue AI lines for medium reverse and short reverse while the starting gate issue persists?

I would like to give a shout out to ESOTIC for creating "AI Line Helper" that masterfully creates new side lines. The app basically herds the AI in a controlled manner around the track where the track boundaries sometime lack.

To install the AI lines, simply unpack the included "revlong" folder into your "tracks/alps" folder.

Honestly, who really WANTS that Renault Espace truck? I know we crave rare mods, as we want to have the most rich and complete gallery, but objectively, I don't think most people out there would sit to think about it and still want to have it.

Their FB page and website is gone now. Only some minor sites run by their staff members like Canarias Simulacion and RallySimRacing although I will not recommend using them. Especially Canarias Simulacions sell mods which is actually free and RSR re-sells Simtraxx's trackmods (which is free and downloadable from Racedepartment)

Hi mate, it feels good I think. Edit: actually, it feels GREAT. :)

Here's a new data folder with:
  • floating Motec digits repositioned slightly and z-aligned to fit flat on the display, and digits colour/intensity corrected
  • driver's hands in synch with the steering wheel rotation
(both important in VR)

Am I right in thinking these won't work until someone adds the AI start positions to the kn5?

When you add AI to a race, they try to use the same grid spot as you and they kind of explode upon spawning. If they land in a good spot they might be able to race if they can get started but it's a crapshoot. When I choose 2 AI to race against, one of them usually can get started and race you but close racing is almost impossible. It just depends how long it takes the AI to find the AI line and get started.

FYI, I think the creation and placement of the grid spots must be done in Blender, 3DSIMED, or 3DSMAX...some kind of 3D program.
