Here's a couple more for your tracks if you want them.

AI for actk rivera and actk losail:

-Added an extra camera on Rivera.

-For Losail, I added a best guess DRS zone (haven't seen the practice coverage yet). Also added a few cams, one of which is just a tighter FOV of the original camera, and the other is a wider crane style view. I'm not sure if anyone else had already done the ai or not, forgive me if already done.

Delete any .bin or cache files in the ai folder, if present, when updating ai.

So NIS its not working on AC right? just shows me the blue text that someone already said just sharpeness
For me it actually worked when I tried it out days ago, I had to lower resolution to 1280x720 for it to work and it gave me 47FPS compared to 17FPS last time I played it long ago since I have GTX950 Zotac and Intel Core i5 6400, I really need to upgrade my PC so badly eventually...

No, it works, I got green text.
Now, about advantages, like better graphics and/or more fps, it seem to be system/resolution dependant.

Just released Losail F1 Qatar Grand Prix Extension 😉




Great and for my Losail favourite version!
The original mod is very good but with this extension becomes fantastic!

It doesn't seem for now but this extension correct a lot of textures (tarmac, sand, grass replaced with astroturf, billboards 2021...) and some big parts of the original track content have been either removed or replaced.

The DRS marker in the extension is located at 0.916 which seems a little bit closer to reality (sorry for not including DRS zone file in the extension, will try to include it in next update)

@Pyyer , raising a good point re: Yas Marina. I haven't heard/seen of any new layouts being released as a mod yet.


Side not: I've formatted this post weirdly, but the table at the top is what's left to find for another little research project I'm doing: Tracking down every current FIA-licenced circuit (using these two of the most recent releases of FIA's sanctioned circuit listings https://www.fia.com/sites/default/files/list_of_fia_licenced_circuits_0.pdf and https://www.fia.com/sites/default/files/fia_circuit_list_template_2019.pdf )

The table above are the circuits I haven't been able to find. Which, to put a bit of praise on the modding community, there's not that many!
I guess the only contentious one on this list is Igora Drive, I know there is a version floating around, but I don't believe it's very representative/polished enough to really use.

Awesome! The only issue I have with the 1993 version is that the ai are a bit slow, around a few corners, such as Pouhon, offering little challenge as a result. Awesome tracks either way though!

Is the physics update by 'VR Driving' the one that @EvilGloomy posted a few days ago?

The white dials are a little dark (maybe picked up by the VAO?) but raising ksAmbient of Material #25646 from 0.15 to 0.35 makes them more OEM I think.

Edit: just noticed the rear wiper doesn't visually wipe the glass from the external view, but does from cockpit view (in the rear-view mirror).
Maybe rain glass not set up properly on the rear?
(don't worry about the non-OEM blue car skin)

Does this work for all f1 cars? Example vrc and asr mods?
 
This is one of my new favorite tracks! Very technical and challenging, but rewarding to learn.

If the hills and exposed dirt sections could be smoothed so they're not so "blocky" looking, mapped with better textures, and the dirt had some bump or normal maps to create texture, it would make it spectacular!

Look at this version of Kazan Ring as an example.

Works excellently for me on a lowly 1070, I5 3570k and 4k TV.

I was running at 1440p, now I have NIS enabled with sharpness set to 50% and solid 60FPS capped. There can be slight 'graininess' at higher sharpness settings, but easily adjusted out.

A huge boost in image quality. 4k visuals with 1440p framerates? A big 👍 from me!
