@Pete82 Just watch these comments get magically erased like usual but essentially what he did was the minute someone would post their own work, he’d do a few lazy edits and then reupload it to his own link where he would make money off the traffic generated. He would try to maximize traffic and his profits by making as many of these lazy edits as possible.

Mod ownership and rights are very shaky ground, and basically don’t really exist because it varies so much from community to community or person to person, but I’m sure most would agree he was taking advantage of others work in an unethical way.

There's already a couple of GT4's that we did work on that are on his site rehosted to sharemods. I'm not saying the guy is getting rich but it's just horrible ethics. And if you bring it up to him, he'll just ban you from whatever platform you contact him from.
My interest really is, did he like these cars and that's why he wanted to host them? He tried to take Assettoland down all while making his website exactly like Assettoland. How is that remotely morally sound?

Is there, somewhere, a new AI for the Road America V1.0 by Lilski?
My searching didn't help me.

Cheers
You could try this one:

Which in your opinion is the best ppfilter for AC?
I just started using this one by @Amby and have been quite happy with it.

Arctic Circle Raceway - Update

  • New AI lanes
    • longer left-sided lane leading to the pit-entry
    • competitive racing fast-lane

  • Additional Replay Cams
    • replaced existing cameras_1 (borked!)
    • few race & static cams

@shi - include it for your next release...
note: would you apply the 'ghosting-effect' to the pit-lane - this would avoid collision incidents in the pit-exit area, many thanks.

Thank you for creating the AI and the camera.
I will include it in the update.
I do not know how to force the 'ghosting-effect' to be applied.

I have a G920, so in the same boat of having to make the best of what we have. I can't fix ALL the mods, but I can have some control over how my wheel deals with good vs bad. Here's the BEST FFB gameplan I've ever come across, for my gear. Made a night and day difference in the way I experience FFB in AC.
Thanks. I had done most of the stuff in the linked guide already, but hadn't tried FFBClip, which made a small but noticeable difference.

By the way, where I depart from the guide is that I prefer kerb effect 2%, road effect 15%, slip effect 6%, and ABS effect 10%. I also enable "Enhanced understeer effect", which helps (me, anyway) a lot.

And for those who will point out I didn't mention mods in this post: it started as a discussion of what can be done with a mod with bad FFB. :)

Was looking for an update for the NSX GT3 that prevented crashing, looks like I was a version behind lol but I found the new(er) one.

Thanks for the settings preferences, I'm always keen to try fine-tuning.
Yeah. Nuance is tough :)

A little help please, I have the HP G2 and I'm not sure when it started but when ever I go to the track its like night time and I have to go to the menu and select sol config change to Ultra and it back to normal.
I'm sure its a tick box somewhere I've missed CSP 0.1.76 ID 1819. Track settings are clear and midday.
Thanks

Something's not quite right in 0.1.77. Apart from the dark 'monitor' mode (not that I'd use this by choice), wing mirrors occasionally show a flat 2D image that can then 'switch' (with a noticeable flicker) to a proper stereoscopic 3D view a few seconds after getting in the car. Only wing mirrors seem affected for some reason (not the main rear-view mirror) and it doesn't happen all the time.
VR mirrors have been bugged for a while (previous CSPs had rendering in only one eye on occasion) so I'm guessing this is still a hangover from that issue. Maybe now instead of rendering in one eye it switches to a flat 2D reflection? Not sure, but there's definitely still an issue.

Edit: missed your post directly above as I was typing my response @Peter Boese - seems like we're experiencing the same thing.
Do your mirrors darken if you switch to 'monitor'?

Hi Peter,is there any solution to the problem with the black reversing monitor on CSP 1.77?

1.77 is near to be released. I have 1.77p48 running and it feels good. He mostly made bugfixes with it.
This version is released for the patreons members only? Because i haven't received any newer than the 0.1.77 preview 1

Hi,

got a question. Do someone know a good solution for those "glass looking sand" @salzburg ??

I am on CSP 176p92 and i know with an older one the problem did not occure, but everything is running cool so i don`t want to change the CSP version just for this.
Maybe there is a newer extension.ini around ? I have the github one.

TIA

I switch mainly between these 2:

the well known A3PP and the not well known but for me supprisingly good snoowu`s real filter

Not sure where you got "your" 1.77p1 from, but when Ilja decides to release a new preview it will be on patreon for sure. Preview1 is still the most up-to-date for non-developers.

Perhaps just delete what you have, and re-download the latest version with all the fixes baked in, from his Patreon?
No charge, no sign-up required. I mean, I'm sure he'd appreciate you signing up, but... :)
