I have almost the full grid for 2021 for the VRC car.
The popularity of the RSS car this year is largely down to one really hard-working skinner, kyle.bloyd on RD.
His sheer volume of work skews the impression, I think.
I actually prefer the VRC car.
I too also have almost all the 2021 skins. But yea the 2022 updates for the RSS is pretty nuts. I haven't driven the RSS car so I am not sure what the comparison is like the. VRC's prototypes have always been top notch as well as their old Trans-Am car. The new Formula Alpha is also amazing although I think the 2021 and 2020 Formula Hybrids from RSS are also amazing.
There's pros and cons to each version. I really like the sound and overall feel of the RSS version. The VRC model is probably a bit more accurate and also has a short oval version.

I feel like the VRC is easier to pick up and drive, RSS requires you to put more effort into setup.

Full 2021 skins are available on RD for VRC, btw. You just have to dig for them as they aren't in a full pack.

And I think a big reason the RSS version didn't get as much attention from skinners in 2020 and 2021 is the difficulty of working with the mapping. You can't just use Photoshop to work with the RSS Formula Americas - you have to use a 3D program as well.

On the flip side, it appears impossible to convert the VRC kn5 to FBX, making using a 3D program for the more difficult parts of that model impossible.

The skins and other "add-ons" to complement the Ford cars (Le Mans 1966).

You must download the car from the website
"http://www.assetto-fr.tk"......
but don't forget what I did is not perfect, because I don't use "photoshop", it's still very complicated for me.

Pack with other skins "Ford GT40 Mk II"

Testing the Mercedes 300 SLR (fictional Mille Miglia 1955, using the Targa Florio stage 1).

Driving with (722-S.Moss/D.Jenkinson), along with the duo (704-H.Herrmann/H.Eger) and the drivers who raced alone ( 658-J.M.Fangio ) and (701-K.Kling), along with them a Porsche 550 Spyder and a test track with the (39-Simca Gordini T15S ), fierce battle between the "doubles" of Mercedes until the end.

Just an observation, I guess for the current Indycar mod, the RSS version is more popular than the VRC one? More skins seems to be up to date and available? I sorta bought the VRC version on a whim looking for Indycar since I bought most of their prototype mods. While I do have most of the RSS modern F1 cars I just didn't buy into their Indycar stuff. Maybe should have done that instead...lol
Honestly I enjoy much more the VRC version by a lot.

Does anyone have a mod of Niederstetten Airport? Gilles once converted it to AC and published it on RD a few years ago but it got deleted after a while.
Here is the track. I have changed the config.exe - now the GrasFX is looking better. But the old one is still there, if you prefer that one. (This is the first time, I am uploading a file with Google Drive. I hope it is working).

Thank you very much.

Could you please also post the original one ?

On the UI file you posted, "Andre" is mentionned as the author. I presume Andre is yourself ?

So I can add both versions on the listing

Thanks again

No. I am not Andre :)

Andre was the original modder of the track for rFactor, GTR2 & GT Legends. See here: http://www.virtualr.net/flugplatz-niederstetten-released

Unfortunately I only have this version of the track (and I think the UI was empty so I had to do some research about the track - therefore the German text). And I have no idea where I did find the track. Sorry.

I have made a suit for Jim based on a photo of him after the actual race. I have also resized him a bit, so his head is not away from the seat back, although the steering animation is still not perfect.

The car is here:

It's not the latest version. Legion kindly made seatbelts yesterday as requested by someone, but unfortunately I don't like them as they are too thick and wide and don't fit very well. So this is the version without. He did wear them in accordance with Indy regulations (see here: https://peterwindsor.com/2015/05/28/the-month-of-may-1965-photo-album1/ and here: https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/jim-clark-sits-in-his-lotus-38-picture-id150188691?s=2048x2048 (must be a practice session as the overall patches are missing).

Awesome, thank you!

100% agree.
I've had a really sweet week of car trials, Alfa SZ s2, SuperRace Stock Car Supra, Bmw E30 325i Cup, Mitsubishi GTO LM, 992 Cup, Ultima GTR, Velo's version of the Aston amr1 and now this new GTAM.
Same as me, I have been going through all my road cars and rating them or if they are really bad deleting them. I am really enjoying finding some hidden gems that I probably would never drive if I wasn't giving them a chance and running each one a few laps on a appropriate well made road course..

Thank you very much! And yes, it's working. The only thing you could do wrong when uploading on GDrive is to create a link that can only be used by people with certain rights. I asked Gilles via email if he could send it to me and he promised to go find it. Well, that was 2 years ago.

Thank you very much.

I would have thought that this was Gilles. I think his real name is Andrew.

This car is so much fun to drive, beautifully judged. Just need some new skins/paint jobs....
i personally like the one from Pessio Garage better (LHD instead of RHD , correct shift animation , working wipers, etc)

but you are in luck, the skins from that one can be copied over to this one from Legion...
Should you not know how to copy the skins , here's a zip you can just drag into CM and install the skins: 7 day valid link

Some pages ago El Locho and possibly others (Masscot maybe, sossy for the dodgy memory) tweaked the driver and made the CSP wipers script.

In the respective tracks' folders, right where you see the .kn5 files.
This works for every track, you can event drop my folder containg the VAO files in your content/tracks folder.

\common\assettocorsa\extension\vao-patches
??

Ps. the VAO posted here, should be placed in the track folder, right?

made a seperate tune now for the PG GTAM , as i liked the stronger engine and sound of the Legion version better,
and i made the rooftop transparant, so in VR it looks like you have the roof down, it's now one of my favorite "cabrio" cars ;)
Feel free to download it here (will not overwrite the existing Pessio car but will install as a child).

A little night race test leads me to a question. Is there a track I can study where I can teach myself how to make lit up digital numbers on a sign\billboard\leaderboard? The track has a tall leaderboard display just to the right of the main straight. I'd like to make it have lit up digital numbers. Don't care if they display running order accurately. I just think having something would be nice.

I update my previous work, adding the Team Rebaque at the John Player Special pack.

Now, all the Lotus team of 1978 F1 Championship are present and complete! ;)
This very much appreciated. To be really complete you are missing one single driver; Gunnar Nilson (Swede).
Possible for you to add?

Also (hope you're able); could you lower the driver position in the Lotus 78? For instance; Mario Andretti is a short person, to me he's sitting too high in the cockpit. As you can see below, well lower than the engine cover. Hope this is possible changing?

Otherwise, super skins!! Well received (and in use).

Hi Jeroen! ;) Thank you so much.

OK, I will do the skin, even if my pack was for 1978 F1 Championship, where Gunnar Nilsson did not race. But it is also true that in 1977 he drove the same car with Andretti, so I will do another pack for 1977 Championship.

About the secopnd request, sorry, but I'm not able to do it... :( I’m at the beginning with skins, but I have no experience with modelling, sorry.

You can move and rescale the driver in content manager showroom, just make the driver visible and press the T key to bring up the move/scale/rotate gizmo.
