@axydraul Not my cup of tea, as being to modern, but Google link is working on Safari iPad air, check you security settings from your browser or adaweare/Ublock extensions. If not working, get another web browser, like Firefox, Brave or Opera.

Hello, just downloaded some random car with an odd problem: the lights glow, but doesn't actually light up the road at all. Felt like fixing this myself but I'm not quite sure how. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The car I'm using is "slang_r33_gtr_400r" taken from some random site.

Use services like linkunshorten[DOT].com in order to bypass the shorturl if your browser/AV block the website like Malwarebytes did for me. It works fine, you'll get the direct url for mega or the gdrive then
I got the url by the smartphone, on mobile Chrome worked.

Yes 🤤 I've waited 3 years to get back into the FIA series cause we were kind of lacking some liveries and cars that I didn't want to start without, e.g. the Mosler MT900-R/GT3. Now I'm getting back into it, thanks to @DavidDGA, but something tells me '06 and up won't be as full as this season in terms of liveries.

I don't know about 2007, because Aston Martin just debut the cars at 2005: Round 3 Tourist Trophy. Same canards, same rear wing.

It most certainly is fun! Yes, it's against AI 100 strength, 95 aggressiveness. I'm not sure what you mean by full races in terms of 'full grid' or the length of the race, so I'm just going to answer both. If you mean 'full grid', yes. At least 29 cars into each race so far. If you mean the length of the races, I do 25 laps, regardless of track length, even if it was the Nürburgring. That way I get variety of race lengths and I've been sticking with this rule since I've started in 1994 BPR GGTC.
More FIA full grids are and will coming in :)

I'm using the Mosler MT900-Rs with some modifications to get rid of the canards and front splitter. Also the cars have quality, though it's weird that their tire wear and fuel are MILES better then the rest of the grid lasting the entire race, hints why you see the red one in front of the pack.

However, I've made a mistake in doing that and should've put the car behind the GT1s. I just ignore that and be thankful to even have them. I could also modified their fuel so they can pit more often, but I don't count them I'm just having fun right now.

Also their was more G2 cars IRL, but I didn't bother to put them in. We have the 350z, I just didn't bother making the #179 and as for the Monaro, I could just either use a Pontiac racecar or use the V8 supercar as a grid filler, but there was no point for me, I have a full grid of cars and that's all that I've wanted.

No they run different categories, the Mantis runs GT3, N-GT. Mosler and Vertigo run G2. BMW Z4 ran for G2 in it's first test session, kind of GT3ish. The Ultimas ran in GT2, GT3/N-GT, but it does depend on the body type.
thanks a lot

Hello! I apologize for my Google Translate English. I have this problem. When I activate EXTRAFX the lights become extremely bright and so far I haven't been able to figure out what it could be. If anyone can help... I would be very grateful.

Edit: Solved

Talking about mid 30s mods, so far my selection is revolving around a few cars :
-the 1934 Maserati 8CM (HSS)
-the Delage 15s8 Seaman (Fourty two)
-the w125 mercedes (mantasisg and aphidgod)
-the auto union type C (gary peterson)

I added the Alfa romeo Tipo B P3 (GoD) and the Alfa 12C-36 (Legion) cause they make for a funny rabbit to chase despise having completely odd physics especially braking and cornering, but am i missing some gems? I found the simdream 1937 pack to be atrocious, and they behave like modern berlines on the track.

The AI cannot handle the Napier Railton sadly, maybe a fix needed.
Hey mate- here you go https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/oily-smoke-1930s-delage-15s8-maserati-8cm-and-w125-mercedes.72936/

I started with the Auto Union but no car has more exhausts and frankly it's too much work :D Enjoy!

Grab from official source first, If still broken you can probably tag Opperslang in the Binary Motors discord and ask for help there.

Hey guys!
Is there anyone else having problems with RT Sebring?
The track disappears into a white void, only some assets and tyre marks stay visible.
1729959437230.png

It happens inn turn 1, and in some later corners as well.
If someone had a solution i'd really appreciate it if they shared it with me, as the RT made an excellent Sebring, but it's undrivable like this.
Also this has been a problem for some time now, and i've updated my csp since then, but the issue stayed.

Question, what is the difference between fh5 and gran turismo type models?

Haha you went fast on this! You can add the Alfa Romeo P3 from HSS to the list. Those 5 cars make for a nice pack once the AI is optimized.

Lights work fine for me, but whenever I face similar issue (happens quite often), I add following lines into the end of the extension file of the car:

[LIGHT_HEADLIGHT_0]
RANGE=200
COLOR=10,10,10

It's supposed to override any csp-linked fancy headlight-stuff causing all kinds of problems.

(It also works for adding sort of headlights to any car that really don't have them, for night racing.)

Just let you know there is also a @rainmaker Zolder 1967 version. I do not know if this is compatible, it’s also based on the same source as from Gilles75. Think Rainmaker did do a good job here, but improvements are always welcome.
Have looked at both, still prefer the Gilles75 version, mainly because of the sand

Have been working on Gilles75 version, rainmaker version has most of my texture updates including new tree's, actually was a bit dissapointed as no mention was made.

He has given credits now after our conversation.

Will be launching Gilles75 version, it's a hybrid between Gilles75 and Rainmaker including all my new updates.

New lighting, day and night, improved some textures, getting there, as soon as I feel it's ready I will post it.

Looking good so far :)

Is the AI broken for you too?
AI seems normal for Assetto Corsa AI to me, but have only done a couple of races. What does seem to be broken is the cars audio - really bad crackling noises in a race, but not present in hotlapping mode. Anyone else had this issue?

I really shouldn't be trusting my memory. You are completely right. I really thought the RSS DBR9 had the smaller 2007-ish rear wing, but you are right, it's the same as the 2005 car.

So I guess there are simulating 2004/2005 GT1 BOP?
Correct. The DBR9s with the straighten rear wing with the canards I call 'FIA DBR9' and the regular non canards 'wiggly' wing is the ALMS/LM DBR9.
More FIA full grids are and will coming in :)
IT'S TIIIME!! I can't wait for more!👍

With permission from Fat-Alfie, I animated the flags on five of his tracks plus one other little addition to two of his tracks. To be honest, the flags should probably be bigger but I got so caught up in placing them all that I kind of ignored how they looked. While I was double checking that everything animated properly, I realized they are a bit small so you may not like them. Maybe some day i'll resize them and make them bigger.

If you want to try them out, you will need to do a little leg work because I don't know if everyone has an extension folder with an ext_config file for each track like I do. Obviously CSP would be required for them to work. Just follow the steps below.

1.) Download the mod from the link below and extract the contents. It will add a kn5 file and file named Code_To_Copy_To_ext_config_File to each tracks extension folder.

Animated flags for Fat Alfie tracks

2.) Copy the contents of the 'Code_To_Copy_To_ext_config_File' to your existing ext_config file if you have one. Just paste it at the bottom so it's easier to delete if you don't like how they look.

3.) If you don't have an ext_config file, you can rename the Code_To_Copy_To_ext_config_File file to ext_config and that should make things work.

Is the AI broken for you too?
I ran three races in three different cars at three different tracks. Each time 10 laps. Each time the every AI car would pit at lap 7 or 8 so they must be on small fuel loads by default. It wasn't like that before the update. Also the AI seems a little bit quicker than before but I didn't notice anything in the audio.

Flags look OK, all is working well, thanks... 👍

Working on two track updates which I will upload a bit later, just need to do some final changes.

Big thanks to @racinjoe013 for all he's asssitance and settings to get these tracks to where I want them.

Zolder 1967 is hybrid between Gilles75 and Rainmaker which includes all my new tree textures and vegetation. New grass settings and all my previous track textures. New day and night lighting, have also reworked night lighting completely, added so many more lights and ambient night lighting.

Monaco 1966 is a small update, new VAO patch, new lighting and some minor tweaks to my previous complete texture update.
