@jac0 sorry, since i have to clear some other stuff rn aswell and didnt right ur message proberly. are u continuing trying to fix the problem/putting the skins on top of the chrome?
anyways my project is live and if a fix will be out there, i will also update it. and thanks for the help so far^^
putting decals on top of the body skin when there are no "spaceholders" for it is something that is beyond my skills (which is working w CM and Gimp but not the 3D programs which are required to do that I think)... sorry.

Jaguar has made some most legendary cars in history. Even XK and F-Type were still amazing. Now they make electric SUV's only. And I don't even want to say anything about their latest campaign. This is a family forum. :D

Does anybody know why the preview always comes out looking like this? i have tried 3 other cars and all of them seem fine it just seems to be this one, i have the "use csp for final previews render" enabled and ideally it needs to stay enabled.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    • Changed shaders for the windscreen
      New Engine data parameters
    • New gearbox ratios ( gear sets)
    • New Tire dimension
      New suspension data (Camber,TOE,Height,ARB,Spring Rate,weight distribution)
    • Some other changes "visual"

    • Fixed A.I for both cars

New version of Sevilla Circuit is out!

  • Added RainFX on the curbs
  • Changed the texture for the grass area. In real life, at the inauguration of the track it was full of dirt, now green grass is being thrived. I updated the area with a satelital image from 2 days ago (from this very moment). Low quality but with GrassFX it looks decent and nice.
  • Fixed UV map of Olive trees.
  • Added Glass shader in the Pit building windows.

CSP is required for good visuals.

I've noticed that particularly with VRC Formula cars that my steering wheel LED's aren't sequential but they come on in groups of 5. First the 5 reddish-pinkish lights come on then the 5 blue ones. VRC support said that there is a way in settings for you to change it but I don't see how you can. They said I was on block-block style. Is there a way to change the LED's?

Okay final updates to the leaderboards

1990-1991 ESPN Speedworld

1980-1989 now includes the pre-1986 F1 logo for the older seasons

(TAG Heuer/Eurosport) 1992-1993 (no updates just the link)

2005/2007 leaderboard

These are small files just 7 Megs. Easy to alternate between them.

One was owned by a Finnish media mogul. That was quite a car. The article is in Finnish, use Chrome translate.

In general, if I want to adjust the colour/saturation/brightness/contrast of the grass generated by GrassFX, what's the best/easiest approach? I have had some luck simply adjusting the ground textures of the track, but there are probably other ways to Rome as well?

Try reinstalling the car and app manually, the led settings section missing from the advanced setup menu.

As much as i want VRC to do other stuff than boring open wheel cars(in my humble opinion they are some of the most boring cars to drive) i'm guessing they do it cause it brings in money.

I'd love for them to finish off their super touring pack and give us an proper E36, S40, Primera's etc but maybe the monetary gain isn't enough to justify modeling them and making physics etc
More BTCC are on the way.

darn, never noticed till now you mention it , but it seems GTPlanet shrinks the image.. when I download an image I posted it's no longer the same size (pixel-wise) as the original.

@Fanapryde this does not happen when you post a png? (can you check pls - compare a download to original ,see if it's still the same dimensions) Thx!

EDIT: redacted (as it seems we can generate previews directly in PNG) Lets hope with PNG the pic is not reduced in pixel size when uploaded...
But it would be rather cumbersome, if we need to convert our previews to another format , just to pertain the same image quality ...

Hoping a site admin reads this , and says he/she will change a setting so that JPG's (and any image really) retains their full size from now on... 🤞


EDIT2: I'll conduct a test myself, as I figures out how to generate in png now ;)

Also with PNG the image is made smaller!
I upload an image of 2044x1150 and when I download it again from this post, it's only 1200 x 676...

EDIT3: and when I upload a 1200x676 image it remains the same size after upload/download

TEST4: with JPG the same , 1200x676 remains 1200x676

so it seems anything beyond 1200x676 gets shrunk down to 1200x676

You could edit the texture (as you have)
place edited textures in ./track_name/texture

or

PROP_... = ksAmbient, 0.20 ; <--- higher is brighter
PROP_... = ksDiffuse, 0.20 ; <--- lower is darker
PROP_... = ksSpecular, 0 ; <--- grass should always have 0 spec
