I Installed new PURE and when the CM got updated I also got some weird issues. I think some of the details are missing. Only Senna's yellow helmet looks ok. :embarrassed:

Still on the fence about those 3d trees.

Ooops... vanishing posts 😱

Anyhoo. Regarding IFSO's free 246 GT. Got it, tried it, found it's encrapted (the bad, sad, mad kind where not only can you not generate custom previews in CM, even using CSP rendering [warning and blue crystals], it actually crashes CM), binned it.
There's a very nice, older 246 GT by Full Throttle, here (on a blog by someone you might know 🤪). Drives really nicely, nice sound. Didn't check the wipers (sorry). Oldie, but a goodie.
If you save the body shaders from Geroda's GTS as a preset, and then apply them to this one, it becomes moar pretty (it was a leetle bit matte).
I had a Porsche of his a while ago (also encrypted) and the tacho needle wasn't even tracking parallel to the face of dial, which is a dealbreaker in VR as it looks so ridiculous.
Encryption is fine if everything is perfect... but it rarely ever is.

ACTK did a major update on this car a while ago, adding windshield wipers.

If you want to make previews of encrypted cars you need to enable "Use CSP for final previews render" inside of Content Manager > Custom showroom. Otherwise it will just generate the oh so dreadful blue crystals.

But i also depends on how deep the encryption goes, Some of IFSO's mods are encrypted down to even textures, Like his Huracan. At the end of the day all of these cars are available to download on the ACMP or AutoMod Workshop discords. So if you really do have an issue with that you can just port it yourselves :D

Quick question, how do I fix white glowing rotors??
If I rename the extension folder they still glow white, tried switching info with a Kunos car in brake.ini but still no luck...

I'm 100% aware of the CSP preview rendering option, thanks :)

Thanks, that was the problem. When I originally downloaded the update, I didn't unpack the folder "AC Files" before installing. This time I opened that up and installed "apps" and "content" and the LED settings are in there now.

I know I've said this in the past but I'm getting increasingly frustrated with this whole sim racing genre. It's just too much info you need to know, computer stuff you need to know, and it's very tedious. It's just so far over my head and I get so angry that I can't figure things out quickly. Plus there's the physical problem it's giving me. I'm 59 now with a bad back. I bought this Fanatec cockpit rig a few months ago and I can't sit in it for more than 20 minutes or so without the right lower quarter of my back feeling like it's on fire. But it was the same before I got it with the portable GT Omega wheel stand and regular racing type office chair I had.

Don't get me wrong, when everything works, it's great. But I seem to have so many problems getting it to that great point. I'm probably only using about 60% or so of Assetto Corsa's capability because I just don't understand how it all works. I haven't updated Pure in a while because I don't remember how I did it the last time and I'm afraid I'll mess it up so bad trying that it will make the game unplayable.

Everyone here has been really helpful when I've asked how to fix my problems. That hasn't been the case other places. Some people have been incredibly rude and nasty when I've asked what I thought was a very simple question. But I suppose that's the way gaming culture is.

I just feel so bad that I keep having to ask over and over again for help. I'm sure the folks at VRC and RSS think, "oh no not another email from him". I desperately need a new home PC to replace my 10 year old one and part of me thinks I should take this one and strip all of the games off of it and just use it for home purposes. But I've also got many issues on that side of it I can't figure out either and need help with.
Yeah I understand, things would be better if Content Manager actually properly installed content with the drag&drop method, but unfortunately that is unreliable.
