That looks fantastic!!
"No autoexposure". Me like.Been jerking around with PP filters and i found a great one; track day: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/track_day-pp-filter.12384/
Funny you should ask...Actually, yes! Well...Sort of. Progress has been made but I recently hit a little bit of a roadblock. It's a slow task as well, but I'm getting there. Once I have it all mapped out upgrading cars shouldn't be too hard at all. Of course, Kunos should be pushing out more and more TM10's to their cars, so I would probably focus more on mods. Although, if there is a car or three that I would really like to see on TM10 that Kunos hasn't done yet...Well... I am kind of bummed because I really thought I had made a break-thru and now it seems like I haven't. It's okay...it just means it's gonna take longer than I thought. Maybe Kunos will be on TM15 by time I get it all straightened out. jk@ALB123 any progress in changing tires to version 10?
Quick question, what does one need to be able to play these on AC (PC)?
Is it simply a matter of getting the tracks and car mentioned in the description and you're good to go?
Can one then drive any car on those tracks?
Also, is all this stuff free??
Yep. AFAIK the only thing with any kind of restriction is the two F1 cars from the Red Pack, they can only be raced against themselves but you can take them to any track. Everything else is free for all, any car against any other car(s) on any track.
Thank you very much for all the info. That is quite fantastic, really.First you need a PC.
Yep. Depending on your internet speed it usually takes a couple minutes to download the mods, a few seconds to unzip them, and a few seconds to install them. Really easy.

Yessir.
I will add that in my experience the rally cars are hit and miss. One of them is pretty good, the others are a bit odd feeling (which is weird since they come from the same people). Same with rally tracks, tarmac is fine but I think loose surfaces like dirt or snow feel very numb and vague. That kind of goes for all mod cars/tracks, there's some real crap out there but probably 1 in 5 are good quality. They're free though, so if it's rubbish I just trash it and move on to the next. There are a handful of pay mods out there but I think URD are the only ones worth paying for (and they're worth every penny IMO).
Pure curiosity...@35mm I can feel a disturbance in the force.
I am racing those 2 against AI with F1 from mod content from similar years on a regular basis, the only restriction is that Kunos is restricted to officially produce a competitive F1 to race against the almighty Ferrari.
@35mm I can feel a disturbance in the force.
Ok. Yeah, and I guess there's the 2013 Opponents mod that works with the F138. You can't race them against any other Kunos cars though, correct?

You can with a tweak of an .ini file. I just can't remember which one at the moment.
Edit: It's in the ui_car.json file
There is a line toward the top of the file that looks like this "onlywith": ["ks_ferrari_f138","ks_ferrari_sf15t"]"
Remove this line and it should work with any of the cars.
I did not know about that, never tried to race an F1 against something else than an other F1 of the same era. Kunos does not have any, so I resorted to mods.
Acfl as a nice bunch of 2015 for the other one.
I did not touch that file and they are both racing against mod with no issue. You can with a tweak of an .ini file. I just can't remember which one at the moment.

That's not what PRC said.I believe it has to do with FOM licensing restrictions.

Quite often, if I download a mod car that ends up driving like a big hunk of crap (no feel...physics obviously done by an escaped mental patient), I don't erase it even though the odds are 99.9999% I'll never drive it. If the model & textures are fine/good I keep them just to make the AI use them so I can have very diverse grids.I will add that in my experience the rally cars are hit and miss. Thank you for the link, good to know he his back.
That's great. I was certain he was gone for good. Nice to see that I was wrong. It will be very nice to see some new textures and such. I can definitely understand why he doesn't want to add any more roadways to this 50km behemoth. Thanks for sharing, Wiz. This made my night. 👍
My God...I was absolutely sweating like crazy from running the new Mount Akina 2017 over and over and over. This is an update to Mt. Akina, obviously, and now comes with 3 layouts: Uphill, Downhill & Drift. The Drift option is really just a free run mode, but it doesn't have good cameras as a result. I was doing the Downhill run exclusively. The majority of my runs were with the Kunos GT-R V-Spec.
Upgraded textures in addition to the new "layouts" - this is really a good looking road now. Also, the physical road mesh has been replaced with a much higher detailed mesh and it pays off. I can't remember what the cameras were like on the old version, but they're setup very nicely on Mount Akina 2017. Just setting up the cameras must have taken a lot of work. There's gotta be at least 100.

I'm going back with my F40...and a tractor trailer full of tires.
Oh, I had quite a few of those.
Anyone try the Caterham yet?:
