I have the C1 day variant and it's really Nice Never tried the night variant though

Yes. I have the Shuto Expressway C1 - both day and night. There are a couple of other highway sections that fit together with C1 but that complete mod track hasn't reached it's way over to the places I visit. The Japanese modding community seems to be keeping it for themselves at the moment. I'm sure it will leak at some point. It's huge and looks awesome if you're into that open world type of driving. I have one of those additional sections, but it's not connected with C1.

I ran a few laps around the full Targa Florio 72km loop (v0.9 closed testing sim traxx). That thing is ridiculously long. There is only one long straightaway section. My laps were in the Mclaren F1 GTR. Besides the long straight near the end of the lap, I believe I only got higher than 3rd gear about a dozen or so times. I could see some really good races on that road with real humans who are equally skilled.

I, also, would like to access that "complete mod" let's share the link when we find it.

RibloGT, ALB123 and Cote Dazur, you guys ROCK! Great replies! Yes, by all means, please post a link to the full complete mod you find a leak of it somewhere. Not cool that they're keeping it to themselves!

Here's a vid of one of the layouts I was watching where he's driving mostly on very long straights with only mild turns. RibloGT and ALB123 is this the version you guys have? Or is this the "complete" version of the mod he's driving that they're holding back?

Click Free Download -> Close the pop-ups -> Download File.
Markos doesn't work free. And it's okay. I use Adblock Plus and AVG, but I still see pop-ups.
Finally got it to work - thanks. I didn't do anything differently but this time the pop-up ad was closeable (I keep forgetting about ctrl-w to close those annoying windows that can't be closed using normal methods) and the download didn't hang.

The first part of the video looks like the version i have, while the second part with the MX5 looks new to me so it's probably the extended version

I will definitely post the link if I'm lucky enough to come across it. @isamu - I believe the video you are posting is the "complete" map. The C1 section (v0.6 is the most recent version I'm aware of) has been floating around for a long time. I don't remember where the heck I got it, but I have the other section (or part of another section ?) in a separate file. The two big maps aren't connected like they are in the video link you posted. The C1 map has 2 layouts, inner loop and outer loop, right?

Well, this second section is just the one layout and for some reason it starts me driving the wrong way on highway - all the overhead signs and arrows let me know this fact. But, you can't just turn around in the very beginning because the road runs out there. Unlike C1, which is just a big loop, this map has several different highway roads. I don't think I've even driven all of them. There is a lot of driving to be done on this map...and there are some places where you can cut from one side of the highway to the other. Just be aware that this map just comes to an end in several parts. I used CM to create a track map - it's not 100% accurate, but much better than having no map when I first started driving this months ago.

That's my personal Google Drive, so I won't be leaving it up forever. Grab it while it's hot. :D Let me know what you think. If someone made this map driveable without falling off roads that just come to an end, combining it with C1 would be a HUGE highway system...Good for a game of cops & robbers.

Thanks ALB123! I grabbed it and will give it 2/3rds

You're right, I too hope they fix it!

Just had a bit of a eureka moment, and I'm chuffed to bits.

One thing that's been bugging me in AC has been the the bleached beige track surfaces and washed-out environments in VR due to the ridiculously aggressive auto-exposure settings in cockpit view. To see what I mean, flick from interior to exterior cameras and gasp in awe as meticulous detail, strong contrast and vivid colours return to the tracks. I'd kind of got used to this over-exposure but after racing the open-topped MX5 Cups a lot (which, due to their exposed cockpits, don't suffer from this problem) then returning to enclosed tin-topped GT cars, the difference was palpable. And horrible.

There must be a way to fix this, right?

The internet seemed full of fud on the subject or workarounds that no longer work due to Kunos updates, but after a lot of experimenting I found that using the default post-processing profile and disabling automatic exposure in that PP profile's config file (simply change =1 to =0) solved the problem. Despite reports to the contrary it appears that the default PP profile is the only one that actually affects anything in VR. Don't believe me? Select the Black and White one and observe that everything remains in full colour.

What I'm suggesting above might be a clumsy way of dealing with this, so if you know a better method (like good settings for the auto-exposure that don't ruin the graphics) - please share!

A simpler alternative way to lose the bleaching is to just disable PP effects altogether, but this renders brake lights almost invisible in VR and makes cockpit LEDs appear dull and weak. Protip for VR users: keep the default PP filter on and turn 'Bloom' up to max for more visible brake lights.

This post is technically more about VR than about modding, but it does involve a mod to the auto exposure config, and anyway - I couldn't find a decent AC VR thread. :P

Anyway, hope this helps someone out there as the bleached graphics in VR were an absolute abomination.

Yes
Fixing that track (it's really good) and combining it with C1 in a massive free roam road system would be a total blast!

Yeah this kind of bugs me with most games actually. Why do they try to emulate a camera instead of your actual eyes? Seems you have to choose; correctly exposed road/terrain or correctly exposed sky. While in reality my eyes perfectly expose everything correctly. It's just silly. :)
So I always turn AE off.

The default settings are so wrong in Asseto Corsa. I think Kunos need to get their monitors calibrated, unless they really do think tarmac is the colour of sandstone and the earth is spiralling into the sun.

Sadly, so many mod tracks are affected by this. Kunos should add information to the SDK like, "Regular tarmac RGB values from X to Y", "Worn tarmac values from X to Y" and so on...not to limit what modders can do - by all means use whatever values you want, but like someone said - it's probably looking decent on Kunos's monitors. They're not going to intentionally ruin the color of the game. I've driven on some mod tracks with my settings all dialed in just how I like 'em and the pavement I'm driving on looks almost white. This isn't a mistake for concrete like at Sebring or anything. The modder just chose some colors that my setup is not displaying very well, aesthetically.

I'm not on VR - just plain ole single monitor for this guy - but I have heard many tails of woe when it comes to VR and Assetto Corsa. There's no doubt in my mind things will get better at time goes by and more effort is into optimizing VR and AC.

Disabling auto-exposure works miracles. To be honest, it affects Kunos tracks as much as modded ones. The AE is just damn aggressive.
Thankfully there's a relatively easy fix!

Well, good news for those of us who don't mind driving ripped mod cars. Forza 7 cars have been decoded, so hopefully we'll be seeing Forza 7 models used in that part of the car modding world.
FM7 is on my watch list, but everything I've seen and read is not convincing me to purchase. T10's game design decisions and my game preference are not quite matching. Now this is another reason for me to not purchase FM7. :D

I have tried the demo, now I know it is not for me.

Got an odd audio issue that I *think* could be mod-related. I use straight 5.1 audio via a DP/HDMI adapter from my GPU to a Yamaha amp. Assetto Corsa has audio in the menus, but nothing at all out on the track. If I switch inputs on the amp to an optical feed (which is only 2.1, but goes to all surround speakers with Pro Logic decoding) then track audio returns. No other games have this issue, only Assetto Corsa. All other games play full audio in 5.1 via HDMI.

Any ideas? I had AC working fine in proper 5.1 previously until a fault developed in the cable, which is when I switched to the optical cable as a stop gap until a new cable was sourced (now fitted). I can't find any settings that help in the AC menus.

I'm thinking about verifying the Steam files but that introduces the pain of reinstalling some mods afterwards. And anyway, I get audio out on the track if I switch to the optical cable (albeit 2.1 audio) so I know the sound files are there and working.

Do I need to 'activate' 5.1 audio in the game somehow? And if so, how does one go about this?

The only thing I can suggest, @Masscot, is to visit the official forums and try a search on the forums. If you don't find an existing post - go ahead and start one yourself. You shouldn't have to deal with that problem. :grumpy:

That track Kičevo is interesting. The author, Lemax, is a fantastic track builder. I recently donated to him and received full versions of his other tracks. The other two are cool as well. Biķernieki Race Track is really nice. That dude is working with a laser scanned surface too...he's doing an awesome job.

Kičevo is really good for a Rally Car track day or race (Donington 1938 is too). I threw a full grid together for a 25 lap race which was a blast. I fixed up a bunch of Rally Car mods (thanks, Content Manager) and downloaded a couple more so that there were no repeating cars on the grid, set it to sunset time and the "rain" weather mod - all in all it looked and sounded great.

Speaking of which, doing so gave me a disk space warning on my HDD.

That AC folder was a lot heavier than I thought, but just had a look and there's over 600 cars and 100 tracks, so that'll do it. Damn track day obsession.

I'm just like you @Lewis_Hamilton_ -- if it's a car that remotely interests me, I download it. If it's a good mod, awesome! If it's a complete PoS it's gone. If it's at least a good looking model with crappy physics data I'll keep it for the AI to drive. I can go weeks without seeing the same car on a track.

EDIT: Space is an issue with me because I foolishly put Assetto Corsa on it's own 256gb ssd. I should have just left it on my 512gb ssd and if need be, install regular stuff like Adobe Master Collection, Office, etc. on one of the 256gb ssd's. If I really have to, I can decide to move either \content\cars\ or \content\tracks\ to either the other 256gb ssd or the 512gb ssd and use Symbolic linking. I did it before but I remember there was something I didn't like about it. I wish Assetto Corsa was set up to allow multiple car & track folders. Like, my JRiver media server looks on drives J:\ K:\ & L\ for "movies". I wish we could tell AC to use the regular C:\..\content\cars\ for example but also allow me to add D:\AC_Cars\ to the mix.

Hey guys, anyone know where I can find a working download link for this app? http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/raceessentials-v1-4-3.32215/

I'm currently using Sidekick.

I'm into a more simple HUD setup myself, but I thought Sidekick looked to be the bomb when I was looking at it..
Not sure, but I think maybe Raceessentials no longer exists ??? been out of the AC modding stuff for most of this year, so I'm not really up to speed on what's current right now.. Hope this link helps.

Looks like I missed the boat if it's no longer supported by the creator, which is a shame ofcourse. Thanks m8
