For those wondering about the Red Bull, it’s the X2014. Should be as fast as the X2010, unless it’s the ‘Standard’ edition from GT6 which should be slightly quicker than an F1 car

however...

You can clearly see in the video that this new one is slow, even compared to an F1 car

Cornering is much faster in GT Sport, as far as acceleration on par with 919 Evo. maybe i do a tune for it so its like in GT Sport

Thank you @norms for fixing the shaders on the Aston martin Vantage AMR Pro
https://mega.nz/#!BV4gDaLI!1th7zIjxAY2prUuaTynn6J2aeG_mK9VzTmU61dknZrM thats a link to norms shaders fix. the car no longer has funky shadows and lighting, and he added some candy paint jobs

After the little "debate" about the car, I tested the "original one" for AC (URD) on Brands-Hatch wich stills one of my most favorite track ever.
I just tested it before on the Red Bull Ring... and It has been a while..! ^^

I tested the "underpowered one" (^^) and, to my surprise, I wasn't under the minute (I expected it)... meanwhile I did it on the McLaren-Mercedes MP4-20 (finally I did 1'02"555 without any modification on the dedicated setup except fuel).

I tested the "supercharged one" and... yeah, It's challenging when You are searching the limits ! ^^ (finally, I did a 48'883).

By the way, I support the X2014 project !
Thanks to all of you for putting me again virtually and by curiosity in this non existing car (very "fun" indeed) last, I saw this "default helmet" that I dislike so much, I will change it as soon as possible ! ^^

@P1ButtPlug
For the opening cockpit glass, It has been always the case, the chinese modders didn't created it. ;-)

Quick question,

When I’m in a race and I watch a replay, the cars with lights on have a glow on the track and can see the road ahead

however, when I’m back in CM and load a replay from my media section, there’s no glow on the track and it’s unrealistically dark

Anyone know anything like this or how to fix it?

i tried on track and its still there. I will have to see what i can do, cause i wanna release the skins when they are ready.
If you want to remove both of the number plates then what @MrB00 stated works perfectly for the car in the game itself. In your new skin folder, make a file called "ext_config.ini" and in that file paste this:

FILE=lexus_rcf_gt3_acc.kn5

Unfortunately previews are a bit more complicated, follow the way @Fanapryde explained to get just 1 number plate. Then in your new skin folder, paint the new numberplate DDS file the same colour as your skin and make sure the alpha channel is black. Then in CM Showroom you need to change the values of the numberplate material and change the alpha mode from normal to testing. Pictures:

thanks alot, one step closer to the skins

The E-Type is Velo's. Not my mod. All I did was BoP to TC Legends spec the best I could so far.
Still a work in process. I kinda slacked on this one because I didn't know if I was going to keep it due to the size. The wheels are huge, well, the car is big too, so I moved onto other cars to add.
Things on the list I believe were:
Feels like ABS is kicking in even though it's off in the files.
The tires are way grippy. Like a lot of the talk that's been going on here, I feel these tires just dont give way enough for GT60's.
Minute pendulum effect of car swinging back and forth in some instances. Maybe tighten up suspension a tad.

Check and see if you think it's just too big a model to keep. Car isn't bad though. OK model and sounds for what it is.

Hello gentlemans. Regarding the Lexus GT3, anyone knows how to stop the safety net from flying around while driving? Cheers

[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_0]
FILE=lexus_rcf_gt3_acc.kn5
HIDE=DOOR_L_numberplate_b
INSERT=
INSERT_AFTER=

you can remove empty lines (INSERT= and INSERT_AFTER=)

@MrB00
and yes, the parameters in front should be UPPERcase, space is not needed

@Stefan Clift
no headlights in replay is a bug, it works with CSP v0.1.30, but not in versions above that

This makes it imo a little bit easier to maintain code:

HIDE=DOOR_L_numberplate_a, DOOR_R_numberplate_a, DOOR_L_numberplate_b, DOOR_R_numberplate_b

HIDE=DOOR_L_numberplate_a, DOOR_R_numberplate_a, DOOR_L_numberplate_b, DOOR_R_numberplate_b

[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_2]
FILE=lexus_rcf_gt3_acc_lod_c.kn5
HIDE=DOOR_L_numberplate_a, DOOR_R_numberplate_a, DOOR_L_numberplate_b, DOOR_R_numberplate_b

Things from same kn5 file can be combined. :)

Absolutely, I just used the existing ext_config.ini which is in the current skins folder, of the Lexus and copy pasted numberplate_b into second section to quickly achieve the result. But yeah thanks for pointing that out :cheers:

Sanio Borg of ZARI Team has posted an update to his Pista, v2.2:

I think it was originally the forceful Pista model with some nice additions. I doubt this one will include @Masscot 's flame fix so may need to apply that again, haven't had time to check it out.

Ferrari 488 pista v2.2

https://mega.nz/#!cXxw1KqQ!KorFk04RWwnXNLD6-iPUPKBpnrJjWVtz2Z-tg3KFico

Numerous additional adjustments to realistic specifications. Wheels are adjusted to real values. Special attention was to the suspension specifications. The main addition is the 488 Pista Piloti. The special edition of Ferrari Tailor Made. On which are carbon wheels, which reduced the total weight by 14.7kg. With carbon wheels, Pista is much more agile and direct on the steering wheel.

In main folder you have readme.pdf file, with a description of the project phases.

This has been enough for now. I think it's time for some new project

Personally i don't think it is too big, it IMO is too low, to the point the wheels clip into the fenders, i'll raise the basey thing, but aside from that i like it, it is a bit too grippy as in i'd like a bit more rotation to use to corner, and the steer sensitivity was at 0.5 so made that 1.0 but that is purely personal preference.
I like it!

I don't think it was the Forceful model that was used - by his own admission that one was pretty poor in a few ways (eg paper-thin A-pillars with no 3D volume to them).

Hmmm my mistake then, still waiting for Beto Fernandez's Pista but I do like this one :)

I covered quite some distance in Velo's model and I was happy to see it been reworked and added to the TCL class.
But I stumbled upon some issues with the reworked version. My (DD) wheel now feels as if it has a very heavy center spring and the car's pendulum effect is far too high. Less noticeable on flat tracks but close to impossible to take any crest at speed without ending up in the armcos.
When comparing both files I noticed the new car was about 100kg heavier and the front ARB had been changed, which were the main changes I found.
This added weight probably triggers the issues I had, and would also explain the 'grippy' tires, because it prevents them from 'sliding' and causes sudden grip loss when on the egde.
Maybe it would be better to change the power (I don't mod and I don't know how) in stead of adding weight ?

AutoClub Speedway from Legion: I did a grassFx config and some billboards very quickly and maybe not that good but I think it is better than nothing.

Note: put the *.ini into ...\extension\config\tracks\loaded - nowhere else! The skins folder goes into the the track folder and then choose the skin in CM.

Feel free to use it.

@GzeroD you may use it for your files, too!

Is someone able and willing to put some 3D palms on the track like in real life? It looks too sterile at the moment.
Uhhh the zip file doesn't have the track files...its just config stuff...i need the proper zip file for the track itself.
Found it:

Same modder, also private:

and..

I've tried to convince him to release the Forza conversions publicly in the past (he did Prague and Rio too, which seem better optimised than Esprit's versions) but he seems afraid that Turn 10 will string him up by the goolies.
Maybe if we bombard the comments sections with requests..?

Thats one problem when it comes to cool mods being locked away behind private bars. Im pointing at the guy who ported the SRT Tomahawk X to AC but he doesn't want to release it to the public because he loves to do it.

Have a go in this. renamed to '2' so shouldn't overwrite other one, but worst case try this if not good then delete and re download bezzers one..

https://mega.nz/#F!kI0FFATA!-NitPhRIWwo2bo8IPeIfNA

I used a template of other physics but was going for feel and made it a bit higher. Working on pure assumptions and feel.
Way i look at it, not every racing e type is going to feel the same either so as long as it isn't feeling like FWD car or handles like an F1 car...

Quick test: I like it.
Steering feels like expected, car can be slided, I can take crests at speed without having to worry about the armcos :D, and lap times fit in the TCL pack.
No issues with the brakes.
So for me: approved ;)

hen I would like to point out the good intentions do legion , but unfortunately ( and it costs me to say) lack details, the TV cams are bad and need adjustment, It would take some willing person to take a good heart to do them all over again

In fairness i think he/they are pretty open about providing content that can be 'improved' by fellow enthusiasts.
So stuff like camera's etc are possible to be made if someone wishes.
I will be honest in that i love to watch the replays as much as the drive, so if it lacks cameras i am on your same page.
But I also can't ever complain to free stuff that has taken someone so time and effort.
