I think what you mean is CM and its data. Thats not part of AC Steam. But it could crush mods, like sound mods if it will restore the original sound bank id files.I thought of that but isn´t that going to ruin my tags and other stuff about cars and tracks?

Since we've been getting some great new DTM content recently I thought some spit 'n' polish to Hockenheim might be welcomed.

Hi Teddie. I had that problem several times in the past. But it did only affect original Kunos cars. I think the reason was some bad car mod that I had installed. To solve that problem, I have downloaded all "Fonsecker-sounds packs" from RD/Overtake for the Kunos-cars. Now whenever I have that problem (not in the last months), I overwrite the soundfiles and everything is fine again.Guys, I've been having a problem lately using the "Replace Sound" option in CM. More times than not, lately, the engine sound is silent after using the "Replace Sound" option. Even if I try to manually replace a sound bank in the sfx folder and update the GUIDs file, which I've done many times in the past, does not seem to work in these instances. Any idea what I'm missing?
I fully agree that the VENCIALO track is too glass_smooth, but I believe that only the visual impact is superior.Gonna have to disagree with you there. I asked around beforehand and the VheEth track got everybody's vote as subjectively the best base to update.
The Vencialo track seems to be inferior in just about every way, to my eyes anyway.

Edit: just to elaborate; the road is glass-smooth with no feedback, lots of textures have broken alpha, trees and tree walls look unnatural and have a lot less layered depth, it uses old clockwork 2D grass, road textures look bland, geometry is a lot more basic (compare the staircases to the rear of the Mercedes stand, for example), many logos are stretched or squashed... all IMO of course.
That's not to say further visual improvements couldn't be made to the VheEth track. It's perhaps a little low-contrast overall, so stronger vao patches and trees tweaked to have more contrast might sharpen the whole look. I'll maybe look at these in an update.

no upscaling just removed the milkyness and touched up as necessary, they look good enough for 1024x1024. Should be drag and drop installation although to acheive this and to get CM to recognise the files i have had to put the full skin folders in not just the window.dds file.
i do have more stuff to upload but no time right now, for now i just wanted to smash this out

Actually, the contrast is superior and in my opinion the trees are much more pleasant to look at even if not entirely realistic.
In the vheeh version of the track I would also improve the textures of the road by making them darker and full of braking marks, this for me would make the track more realistic.

The FSR car isn't bad at all, but some muppet has set it up as manual transmission then hard-locked it behind encryption that even data_override can't fix.
It pains me having to gateshift it like a production car when I should be violently banging up and down through the gears with my sequential shifter.

Indeed, after testing the latest version of the track modified by Masscot, I must say that the track is now much improved, especially in the colors of the vegetation and in the general contrast.Trees are much more pleasant to look at ?

It would be nice if all track creators out there for AC would test road surface using a direct drive wheel moving forward. A nice looking track is totally ruined if it makes you feel you're driving over a smooth glass surface using a DD wheel. On a belt or gear driven wheel the differences between a well made surface and a glass smooth surface are not felt. Getting a DD wheel ruined a lot of tracks for me for that reason.Trees are much more pleasant to look at ?

Idk where this app saves the information, but if you want a quicker in game option for specific cars this has worked well for meHoly moly, I had no idea that you could increase engine sound in the extensions. This is a huge game-changer for me. There are so many cars I'm avoiding racing because I can barely hear the engine.

I checked in the game turning on the F5 camera and twisted it around the car. In this photo of showroom, I also have a feeling of lack of rear glass. In any case, everyone has their own tastethats because you are in CM showroom i think. in game my car has a visible glass texture all around just fine including the front screen and back, if i pan the camera around i get the same effect on the front and back screen i just couldn't be bothered to take pics of that. i have had it before when i "de-milk" it does indeed leave it with no glass texture at all, i have found this to be the case on some older mods but these newer ones seem to have a glass texture baked into the model of the car ort something. If what i done left the Merc with no glass texture i would not of released it. I can only go by what my car looks like in my game, however.

I know Rainmaker made an AI for VHE Hockenheim that vastly improves their times and consistency. Did you rework the AI at all?
