Having a bad week. First my wheel, now it seems my video card died. I stepped away from my rig for a minute and when I turned around my monitor was giving me the no signal message. Swapped in an old 1660 I had lying around and everything was fine. I guess my 3060ti died. Odd thing is, I got no warnings that it was going bad. Five minutes before that I was racing without issues.

Anywhoo, since I have to get a new card, should I stick with Nvidia or think about moving to an AMD card? Haven't owned one in years so I was wondering if they are actually better than Nvidia these days.

AMD are cheaper and tend to have more VRAM than NVIDIA cards (which is good for now but also into the future when games require even more memory than the top ones currently do).
Intel have their 2nd gen cards coming soon...hopefully they have worked on driver support for longer than they did with the 1st gen cards as their pricing is far more consumer friendly that team red and green.

How many of you would be interested in my Tommy Kaira M20b?
I am willing to share it depending on the interest you'll show until the weekend.
If I get less than 10 likes, I'm not going to upload it anywhere. :redflag:
If I get around 20 likes I'm uploading it on Overtake. 🏁
If I get more than 30 likes I'm gonna dedicate it to GTPlanet and it's gonna be uploaded just here. :gtpflag:
(Until ACTK uploads his updated version on his site)

But please be aware that it is a low poly model, based on a really old mod.
Be also aware that I didn't find a singular picture of a (real-life) two door M20b.

I remember Facebook modders using this 'releases for likes' nonsense a few years ago... to universal derision. I was rather hoping we'd seen the last of it.

before change it, try to do a clean uninstall OF ALL THE DRIVERS in safe mode with the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU), then, reinstall the latest (or the one that were stable and see if the GPU come back to life. If not, you have to say goodbye to it probably. For sure AMD and NVIDIA have their own pro and cons, so is not a easy choice if not defined only by the budget

Since I can't get a picture on the screen, I can't do what you suggest. I could do the uninstall part using my old video card, but when I put the new one in, I don't even see the bios info screen before windows begins to boot. Funny thing is, the system does boot up because I hear the startup sound when windows loads, but no picture. I even tried all four ports on the card hoping the one I was using was bad, but no luck.

DM, so we don't fill the 3D with useless stuff not related to AC

Texas Motor Speedway by Legion. Nice track including road course, but there are couple of dark pillars reaching out to heavens:

The weird thing is, I can't seem to identify the faulty mesh/material with 3DsimED. Those pillars are non-existent anywhere but in the race itself. Not related to ext.config, I've tried also without it.

Could someone hint me where to look for a solution next? I want those things gone.

I'm pretty sure it depends on a setting in CM that creates those artifacts also on some modded cars (i don't remember right know who and when talk about it and share the solution). Just wait, someone will say it sooner or later ;)
