Why are you so vehemently defending him, now that's a question worth asking innit ? I always thought you were against people like him (using other people's assets, claiming those as his and putting a frigging copyright on top of it).

If he was part of SD, SIMTRAXX or RTM the pitchfork would've been out a looooong time ago I feel, but precious Luis gets a free pass I guess.

Kinda reminds me of you going gung-ho on ClimaxF1 reworking 'your' Brno a couple of months ago, you weren't so forgiving towards him and all he did was re-texturing the track, not nicking elements from it to use on one his tracks.

I'm not sure how often I keep having to repeat this before you stop ignoring it. And see my reply above re your last accusation. It might have been worth checking your source first?

You could have objected to the dog piling and saying "mkay guys don't do it all at once". But you kept interfering, finding excuses toward the guy. First of all you accuse us of doing "ad hominem" attacks when all we did was pointing out the ego of the guy on each answer. I have never seen you also saying anything about his attacks.

No worse, you have diminished his actions like saying there's no law that force people to be nice, and that we were just "disagreeing on the personality".

The only sensible thing you posted was on the matter of the track, that I had to be 100% as it was a serious accusation, and that even if it was true, he may have worked for kunos before. The rest was just trying to diminish his actions.

Something along the lines "Guys even if he deserve it, it's no reason to turn to the other side and replicate his bad behavior, be better". I objected to the dog-piling here on GTP as it seemed a bit gleeful and disproportionate to any rude comments he might have made elsewhere on a different forum.
I said there WAS A CHANCE he might have claims on the assets because he worked as a professional track builder. I still have no idea whether this is the case.
I said modding exists mostly in a grey area, which is hardly news. How many mod cars and tracks don't trample over copyrights? Not many. Even tracks considered 'legitimate' often use Kunos textures or marshal models etc.

Crazy how passionate we sometimes get about a car game.

Addition to a small mod I did two years ago for melbourne_2019. That mod added some additional crowds around the track. This time I added animation to all of the country flags on top of the pit building. It won't animate the smaller F1 and Melbourne flags just yet. Those require making a new flag object. Since it took forever to place the 64 country flags, i'm a little burnt out at the moment.

You will need to add this code somewhere in your existing ext_config file to hide the non-animated flags:

Thanks for the feedback, will check with the LMP1s. Makes sense as they are faster than the fastest I tested (hypercars), the hairpin might need a little nerfing

Well, I didnt remove anything. Actually when the WiP for V2 was started there was no animation nor a ksanim for it.
I animated it myself by hand.

Can you try to remove/rename "rmi_zwartkops_raceway.vao-patch" and see if that helps?
Otherwise, no idea. To note, this issue was not reported in development.

As far as I know this node does not exist at that track. Did you add it somehow or what?

Top be honest, you also come across as a complete dick to us non modders. A lot of us dont care about ANY of this ********, especially if the mods are free, i couldnt care less about some 15 year old assets in a mod. keep your infighting to a seperate thread i say.

He didn't stop the 2-3 times he got confronted for reusing assets without credits and applying a copyright on it, i wouldn't be that sure that he would stop

It only matters because FVA holds a special place in your heart and is therefore a special case, and because you don't upload your rips to RD so copyright issues magically don't matter when you do it, only when other people do with a particular game you love.
The self-serving mental gymnastics you perform here are staggering. Truly Olympic standard.

Ok well let's start the machine again if this is what you want.

There is a huge difference between Luis, who answer "I'm never wrong" when someone point out a legitimate flaw and then asking if the guy has any contribution before giving a 4 stars review.

And me, who posted 2 full post explaining in depth how the assets where the same, down to details about the number of faces and vertices, and the guy answering to me "this proves nothing it can still be the same 0 and 1 behind". Hence why I pointed out that the guy has no knowledge in 3D. Because you cannot dispute the fact that an object with the same number of faces and vertices cannot be the same 1 and 0 behind. Telling someone that he cannot contradict evidences if he doesn't have knowledge in 3D is now wrong? And I didn't even insult the guy, i just asked him to not comment on 3D evidences if he has no knowledge.

Crazily hypocritical, isn't it? I made the mistake of forgetting my own maxim of 'never try to reason with unreasonable people' and somehow managed to drag myself into this unholy mess when all I was really bothered about was the vindictive piling on without Luis being here to respond. The piling on was something Kenny also seemed concerned about on RD. Silly me, maybe I'll know better next time. But probably not.
