Why are you so vehemently defending him, now that's a question worth asking innit ? I always thought you were against people like him (using other people's assets, claiming those as his and putting a frigging copyright on top of it).

If he was part of SD, SIMTRAXX or RTM the pitchfork would've been out a looooong time ago I feel, but precious Luis gets a free pass I guess.

Kinda reminds me of you going gung-ho on ClimaxF1 reworking 'your' Brno a couple of months ago, you weren't so forgiving towards him and all he did was re-texturing the track, not nicking elements from it to use on one his tracks.

Again, I'm not excusing anything. I've had my own disagreements with Luis in the past. My objection was to the dog-piling. I'm not sure how often I keep having to repeat this before you stop ignoring it. And see my reply above re your last accusation. It might have been worth checking your source first?
Not once you have said anything toward luis.

You could have objected to the dog piling and saying "mkay guys don't do it all at once". But you kept interfering, finding excuses toward the guy. First of all you accuse us of doing "ad hominem" attacks when all we did was pointing out the ego of the guy on each answer. I have never seen you also saying anything about his attacks.

No worse, you have diminished his actions like saying there's no law that force people to be nice, and that we were just "disagreeing on the personality".

The only sensible thing you posted was on the matter of the track, that I had to be 100% as it was a serious accusation, and that even if it was true, he may have worked for kunos before. The rest was just trying to diminish his actions.

There was two choice for you. Either the matter of dog piling was what you cared the most, and in that case you would have simply asked us to not do it. Something along the lines "Guys even if he deserve it, it's no reason to turn to the other side and replicate his bad behavior, be better". Or the second choice, defending the guy and saying that we are in the wrong. "He doesn't deserve any of this, he didn't do much harm, free my boi"

You picked the second choice. And the wrong one.


So no mascot, you did not just object to the dog piling. You can keep repeating this and saying I'm ignoring it, your actions are more than that. You found excuses for the guy and never once, you have ever pointed out a single fault he did. Instead of that you diminished his actions.

This was my post.
I objected to the dog-piling here on GTP as it seemed a bit gleeful and disproportionate to any rude comments he might have made elsewhere on a different forum.
I said there WAS A CHANCE he might have claims on the assets because he worked as a professional track builder. I still have no idea whether this is the case.
I said modding exists mostly in a grey area, which is hardly news. How many mod cars and tracks don't trample over copyrights? Not many. Even tracks considered 'legitimate' often use Kunos textures or marshal models etc.

Crazy how passionate we sometimes get about a car game.

No I agree with him, Luis got more attention than he deserved. While this all could have ended if it wasn't for Mascott defending again this individual, we should now stop the thread

"This a complete 3d rework of a previously released track. Aprox 75% of the track is completely new"

and download the file attached, remove the .txt and put it in the extension folder

Just installed and tried, the Merc star is rotating on my side... ;)
 
Addition to a small mod I did two years ago for melbourne_2019. That mod added some additional crowds around the track. This time I added animation to all of the country flags on top of the pit building. It won't animate the smaller F1 and Melbourne flags just yet. Those require making a new flag object. Since it took forever to place the 64 country flags, i'm a little burnt out at the moment.

You will need to add this code somewhere in your existing ext_config file to hide the non-animated flags:

Well, I didnt remove anything. Actually when the WiP for V2 was started there was no animation nor a ksanim for it.
I animated it myself by hand.

Can you try to remove/rename "rmi_zwartkops_raceway.vao-patch" and see if that helps?
Otherwise, no idea. To note, this issue was not reported in development.

As far as I know this node does not exist at that track. Did you add it somehow or what?

Thanks but no go. I removed the file but the walls still flicker. I've only seen it occur on this track.

Using csp 0.2.8.p1 and pure 2.38.
