I noticed a message keep appearing at the top of the screen, "Car 99 is now being driven by xxxxxx" does this mean the human driver has changed? mid-race?
I haven't figure that one out myself:lol:

People can join the lobby at any time. I believe that message represents a new driver entering the lobby.

This video is rather amazing. 60FPS, HD, Occulus Rift Head Tracking, and the superb animations of AC. Immersive is the word.

And if any of you have "trained" yourself to do cross-eye 3d, it gets even more immersive:

Great stuff... but do you really race with that weird extra mirror on? That would annoy the hell out of me :) Other than that this looks fantastic :D

Which Sim are you currently playing or which one did you played before ?
I would say its a must have in online racing especially in a games like Assetto Corsa. Soooo many noobs there really , people cant even stay on the racing line, they are struggling with everything. So this really helps to see the cars behind you and what they are doing...

Btw the community in AC is just sh....

Quite a few in the past, just iRacing and (cough cough) Forza at the moment, but I do like to turn all those graphic overlays off :D Don't the mirrors work on the AC cars?

The mirrors do work but you may not see them depending on your FOV if you have single screens and where you like to place yourself inside the car. At first I found myself moving up towards the dash to get less of the car and more of the front windscreen on my tv but I've since moved back to where I can usually see the left and rear view mirrors in many cars. In the Lotus 49 I can barely see both mirrors. The virtual mirror is always available to toggle on and off as needed and really helps to locate cars around you in the heat of battle.

Ah, in Forza you can move your head so you don't need the extra mirror. I hadn't thought of that :)

A bug I experienced from tonight, anyone else that has experienced something similar?

lol i havent seen that one before. pretty cool tho, it looks like theyre showing you where the slipstream is. cool how it changes in corners and what not too.

Just got a Logitech G27 a couple of days back, so thought I would load up Assetto and go for a drive. I used the Nordschleife by Snoopy for the track, and the Lotus Exige for the car.

What you all use for capturing and editing and uploading to Youtube??

I used Shadowplay and uploaded directly to Youtube without editing and this is the result:

It's a bit bad on the quality :(

man Kamy you love that Primera lol. i use Open Broadcaster Software which is really easy to use, and seems to record pretty well.

I do :P

Is the file size good with that??
Shadowplay records great (Awsome quality and low file size), but direct upload to youtube compresses it too much. Wonder if compressing it myself with the likes of Sony Vega will fix that.

Will try that thanks :)

I used Shadowplay, as it doesn't cause much of a performance hit most of the time. But I did render the video out in vegas before uploading. one of the main things I do in Vegas to any video, is disable re-sample on the individual video clips. If I dont, I end up with horrid looking videos on upload to youtube. If you use Vegas, there is a ton of videos on youtube that show you how to get better quality videos with it.

Thanks for the tip. Will also investigate that :)

I think you have some bad config, i've also use shadowplay and don't that framedrops.
Aren't you pushing the game to high in graphic settings?

My problem is the loss of quality when uploading to YouTube. The captured video has awesome quality. But of course the upload for YouTube will apply some compression

Just a quick question on the side. I just uploaded a video to YT in 60fps and it's already rendered it to 1080, however I'm not getting the "1080p60", does it take even longer for it to process it into 60fps or can't just simply uploaded it because it's my first video?

Nevermind, the question just answered itself :D

Anyways, here's my first video ever. Don't be too harsh :scared:
