The mandatory yellow green combo now in Assetto Corsa style!

Very nice. 90s Street Tires/Yellowbird/Nordschleife -- what a combo. Boy, you handle that car very nicely. It is so easy to lose the rear end on those old tires if trying to drive too fast for corners. I love how you only had music playing on in-cockpit views...like we're hearing it come from the driver's stereo. Nice touch. 👍

My first "montage video", pretty basic but both me and my crappy cheap laptop are struggling a bit with the editing software. Its made with Davinci Resolve, ive only tried it for a couple of hours yet but hopefully ill get better and more fancy with it after some practice. Would love some feedback from someone more experienced at making video edits :-)

As always its played on xbox one using the Thrustmaster tx, leather rim, th8a shifter and t3pa pedals.

Good job! How do you like working with DaVinci Resolve? I've wanted to try it for quite a while. It's color correcting is supposed to be top-notch. I've used Adobe Premiere for so long, I just feel so comfortable editing with it.

Anyway, nice video. For me, the music is a little too loud. I wear earbuds most of the time and I had to set the volume really low. Perhaps others would disagree. Also, 7m22s is long...in my opinion. If you could trim just a few seconds from each "clip", maybe a little before the drift begins and a little after the drift and the car is driving away, that time will add up and you'll be left with a shorter, more action-packed video.

Perhaps I'm wrong about these things. I don't watch drift videos too often. If they're usually around this length then I guess I spoke out of school. Either way, I wish you good luck! For a first video you did an amazing job and should be proud of yourself. Keep it up. 👍

Davinci seems ok, ive only used it for a couple of hours yet. I used to use Premiere 6.0 probably about 10 years ago when making skateboardvideos and i think i might have liked that better though. But Davinci is definately a decent program at the price of free :) (used to have an illegal copy of premiere back in the day, but its still pretty expensive right?) I see people is using premiere alongside Davinci, so it might be a good idea to use it just for the color correcting. Ive only used it for very simple editing so far so i cant really tell if its very good or not, also my pc seems like it can barely run it, as its really chugging along and the previews are barely watchable.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, i think youre probably right on about all the things you pointed out. I was also thinking 7 minutes was a long time, but it just turned out that way haha. The part with the first song i think i trimmed the clips pretty well imo, but i didnt get room for all the clips that i wanted to use during that song, so i added another song, the part with the second song i could have trimmed quite a bit more but for some reason i think i kinda stretched it so it would cover the entire song. :banghead:

For my next video i will definatly keep it shorter, and i will see if i can adjust the volume better. For this video i didnt touch volumes at all either on the clips or music, stupid but i just wanted to get a video finished (I probably spent 1-2 hours making it)

Thanks again for the feedback, will try to keep your points in mind when making my next one 👍

Thank you sir!
In my opinion Assetto C's Yellowbird is much more approachable than Project Cars' one which I loved anyway. Made deep videos of it ;) .
It would be so great to be able to try the car in real life on closed area. It is dangerous for sure but Assetto's one feels more 'natural'.

Nice video. I'm sure you've also driven the San Andreas map. I never played Grand Theft Auto so i didn't recognize the layouts or whatever. Do you happen to know if that San Andreas map is a combination of maps? I only ask because I was looking for an overhead map on Google Images, just so I had a general idea of what the layout is, but the map I got from Google Images seemed to lack certain areas contained in the Assetto Corsa layout. For instance, the long bridge that leads to a mountainous hill climb.

Finally, do you happen to know if either of these maps is currently being worked on? They'll never be "great". Not without an insane amount of work. However, if they could smooth the intersections of roads and supply a track map I know that I could have some fun with it from time to time.

Yes I have

The San Andreas map available for AC is only an area of the GTA SA map, namely Las Venturas

Just uploaded my second montage video to youtube, and im more happy with the result of this one.
As always feedback and constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated

Played on the xbox one using the Thrustmaster TX wheelbase, leather rim, th8a shifter and t3pa pedals.
