Could it have been high numbers worn in tribute to something? Like 58 for the air crash or 96 for Hillsborough?

I'm confused, are we looking for two players here or one??
Might be either.

There's four questions in total:
What's the highest shirt number ever worn on the pitch in the Premiership
What's the highest shirt number ever to score in the Premiership
Who wore them?
What do they have in common?

Iheanacho wearing 72 is a correct answer.

I believe Pozo for City had a shirt of 78 or something last season?

Edit: Putting the pieces together, both Man City players.

Man City's youngsters do have the high numbers at the club, at the weekend one of their young players called Celina (don't know his first name, he's Norwegian) came off the bench to assist City's consolation goal v Leicester, think he wears 78, might be related to this.

Well Iheanacho wears 72, I'll go for that ATM

Well, technically that's all the answers, I suppose.

What's the highest shirt number ever worn on the pitch in the Premiership - 78
What's the highest shirt number ever to score in the Premiership - 72
Who wore them? - Jose Angel Pozo & Kelechi Iheanacho
What do they have in common? - They both play for Manchester City

So I make that 2 for @Jimlaad43 and 3 for @Akmuq...

It was an FA Cup semi final in the 1930's or something, no real idea which teams were involved, was one of them Wolves??

Damnit, I thought it would be a better trick question.

Wolves is correct, the second team was Grimsby, no point leaving that one open to be honest.

Your turn.

76,963 was the attendance that day, the stadiums capacity is quite near that figure!

Mark Robins was the first player to do what in the Premier League?

Score against Manchester United?

I remember Man U had drawn 1 & lost 1 for most of the first season while they kept winning & I think it was Norwich who beat them early on.

Brian Deane's first Premiership goal happened to be against United if memory serves me correctly.

Robins might have the first transfer in the Premier League era though. He might have been the first mover in the summer of 1992?

If I'm thinking of the right guy, he was a striker at Norwich that season? From what you're saying it sounds like he was new to the club at the time?
I'm just trying to check if I've got the right idea about who he is.

Come on as a substitute?
