Well I mean it's gorgeous. Bit of a duckbill face on it but whatever, it also looks like more like an Aston than it did before. The green and gold is perfect. It's really excellent.

And you're telling me this is the "regular" supercar and its a 900-something horsepower hybrid like the P1? Is there even room for the Valkyrie above this?!

Aston Martin Valhalla Inches Towards 2024 Production With Help From F1

As development of the Aston Martin Valhalla continues, the automaker shares how its drawing on experience in Formula 1 racing to fine-tune the supercar.

The company says a full 90 percent of Valhalla's dynamic characteristics and set-up is all simulation, with just 10 percent coming from practical testing. That certainly tracks with the car's lengthy development time – it was first announced way back in 2019 as a hybrid V6, then upgraded to a hybrid V8 in 2021, and as of now, a road-going version still isn't, well, on the road. That will soon change, as Aston Martin says a Valhalla will be operating by the end of the year.

999 Valhallas are slated for production, and if things stay on schedule, that will commence next year.

Holy moly that is a hefty rear wang. It's an odd design. I'm going to call that a wing with a flap rather than a slat on a wing because the main wing in front has a longer chord than the flap at the rear. But that main wing does resemble the typical placement of a slat in front of the higher camber middle section of a wing. Still an odd design because the total camber of that thing isn't very extreme and could easily be accomplished with a single wing.

I know this seems a bit of a stupid question since the Valkyrie has already been confirmed to be going racing next year...but I wonder if they'll race the Valhalla as well? Maybe in 2026 or later?

I would wager probably not because I don't think it will have a place to go. The Valkyrie will be against the GTP/Hypercar classes, & then the Vantage fills in the GTD/LMGT3 classes.

This car also starts at an eye watering $800,000. The factory is going to field the Valkyrie, I don't think any privateers will be lining up to buy a Valhalla to race when the Vantage is there.
