Recaro and Bride make excellent reclinable bucket seats, they're comfortable for every day driving while giving great support in cornering.

I know I probably sound like a bit of an arse about all this but believe me, I've done all the "Track spec yo" and regretted it. I even got a fixed bucket for my current car (R33 Skyline) and removed it after about a week I think? in favour of an OEM upgrade.

So yeah.. go check out what OEM upgrades there are for your car or look into some reclinables. Don't get fixed or it'll make your rear seats almost entirely inaccessible

Trust me, I really do appreciate the advice, I'm looking into some Recaro seats right now.

Look into Craigslist or whatever your preferred used webstore is.

You can pretty much guarantee used aftermarket seats are going to be newer and cleaner than the OEM ones - will save you big bucks because as soon as that box arrives on your door they've lost 100 bucks of value.

A buddy of mine is getting rid of his car, and he is giving me first dibs at his rims, most likely going to buy them ;)

Thanks, I finally learned where those hideous rims came from when i bought it, they were off a 2000 Eclipse GT. Those are set aside for winter now, can't wait to bring her to school Monday.

Can't decide what color I want to repaint my valve cover

black

repaint the lettering
silver valve cover.jpg

or make it silver with red lettering

So, almost got towed to at school. Someone parked in my parking spot at school so I just parked in a random space (stupid on my part). During my auto class, I noticed a teacher snooping around my car, than I realized I was in a teacher space, so I ran straight to my car and saved myself, some other people weren't so lucky.

Wheels look awesome on the car. It's such a nice car, sadly too few like that rolling around, making a name for proper eclipses.

On the Cover, Red with silver or unpainted lettering.

I'd go with black with silver lettering or silver with red lettering, not a fan of much red in the engine bay.

I generally agree and also thin too many are red. But on a black/white/grey car a bit of colour, even if just under the bonnet adds a bit of a colour splash, if that makes any sense.

Thanks, i have to say that I absolutely love the way the car looks stock, Imo it looks mean. The valve cover is either going to either be the silver with red or red with repainted lettering (silver or white).

Looking for some new tires, been looking at Primacy MXM4's. From what I've seen they have gotten some good reviews, but I would like your guys opinions.

I don't know anything about all weather tyres since we don't /get/ winter tyres in NZ - however I will say that since you're keeping the other set as winter rims I'd go for summer tyres that are designed to be good in the wet. To be okay in the snow as well it must be compromising heavily - personally (And this again is coming from somewhere where it rains heavily but we get no snow) I'd look into Potenzas or some other performance tyre if you have any intention of hitting the twisties. Alternatively, Archillies ATR Sport 2's and Toyo T1R Proxies have a great feel.

Think I finally decided on a name, I'm thinking Scarlett is a good name (even though she is a silver car) or maybe Nicolette
