Get the TT if it's okay. Price is within the normal range for the milage, but find a few faults and decrease it :D

What the bodyshell concerns, I can't say much, look at the forums to find the irks with those cars, they had some, and normally a good owner took care of those.

Drivetrain wise, it's bulletproof if the services were done. Look how often he changed the oil.

I have the same engine, it "only" has 180000km on it, but I am still on the first turbo, never had an issue with engine, 4*4 or anything. And I chipped the ECU at 150000km, no problem at all till now. Engine is bullet proof. I do change the oil on that car every 10 months or so or every 10000km.

After a bit of a price fight, I was finally able to bring the price down to about $5000 (after finding a few things that would need to be replaced). The ride home was a blast, it corners very well, it's going to be a very fun little car. This is going to take the roll of my DD, this means that my GS-T is going to be my little project car, expect to see some more mods for that soon ;)
Time for pics

For those who voted for the 944, it was very tempting, but he had so many memories with it, he just decided he couldn't sell it, plus he is racing this weekend. Well, it's summer now, going home with my friends was a joy, Sarah, along with my friends Forester XT, his friends Wrx, and another kid in a 318i found some nice empty roads, mostly straight with some curves, I did open her up a bit, learned that I can keep up with my friends XT.

^*2 For that milage it's looks really good (on the pics).

Even the seats look not like their milage.

If you want a few advices on the engine or the quattro system, feel free to ask. I have mods ranging from 50 bucks upwards ;)

Also this shop, even if just for reference, has a lot of what is available for the TT, but even that is just a fraction

Have fun with it.

Has anyone else heard that black intercoolers actually offer better performance? Or was that video just a big hoax? (insert random pic of intercooler here)

MCM aren't known for hoaxes, if their researched showed that they did find black intercoolers have positive results with no downside then there's no reason to doubt it.

The science behind it is all sound regardless.

I, on the other hand, would question it, a lot.
How did they test it??

If a colour layer would add anything, it would be isolation and thus not improving. I don't think a colour layer will decrease performance drasticlly, but I would like to see Temperature numbers for both intake and out of the intercooler. Flowchart,...

For a intercooler to be good, it comes down to the alu. "fence", how thick it is, how scattered the layout is, and what the quality of built is. A pro "fence" alone costs a lot.
A custom race built intercooler, with only the best materials comes at a few thousands bucks, I kid you not. And are available in both uncoated or coated black.

The science behind it is very simple, black conducts radiation much better. Meaning it absorbs and discharges heat better.

So, naturally - it depends on your set up. If your intercooler is hanging out in the sun black is going to perform worse - however if it's nicely tucked in under the bumper, it will perform better than an uncoated one.

However, their findings proved that it had a more drastic effect at a standstill - so naturally it's going to effect a road car much more than a race car as you spend much more time with no airflow in a road car 👍

After flying to florida, I got bored today and borrowed my dads kia and went around just seeing what was available, I was actually able to test drive my dream car. Granted it wasn't an 06 but i got to drive a 03 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. Which was a huge mistake, I couldn't get back in my dads car after lol. I was lost for words, it was amazing, the power delivery, the handling, just everything was just so much better than I expected. I completely adore my TT and GS-T, but this was just a different animal all together. I'm just so happy that i finally got to meet my hero and I was blown away.

Well got some news from up north, both cars are being undercoated, even though the GS-T will be garaged for the winter. Really do miss my driving time, and in Florida the roads are busy and I don't really have anything to drive atm. Hopefully my uncle can get my new camshafts installed. I'm still looking for a better exhaust for the TT, after that its going to be getting some engine parts.

After years of dreaming to own my dream car, I want to make my dream a reality, from here on out I'm going to start saving up for a 2006 Mitsubishi Lance Evo IX. Going to probably look for a 2nd job for when I get back to NH, may end up selling one of my two beauties after the winter, idk which one yet. Will definitely keep you guys posted.

I saved up over half my wage for 8 months to buy my 300zx. I was intending to keep saving until I had enough for an E46 M3 (I was halfway there) but my first car caught on to what I was doing and threw a little hissy fit. I decided rather than spending money fixing that I could just buy whatever caught my eye on carsales with the cash I had saved.

Looking back, I'm really happy with the Z but I probably should've kept saving. I'm reminded of what could've been whenever I see a nice E46 M3, and get a strong feeling of jealousy. I comfort myself by saying it would've drove me to the poor house but that doesn't really help.

What was I saying? Ah, yes! Saving money is easy, the tricky part is staying commited and not spending it. Good luck collecting the coin for the Evo, the feeling you get when you hand over the money and know that it is entirely your car will make all the hard yards worth it 👍

Already getting ready for the winter months, my best friend and I both set aside some money to pick up a beater car tomorrow, maybe even after winter we will gut it and make it into something

I have missed my cars so much, and it feels great to be behind the wheel again. Even though its my weekend car, its been nice up here so I've been bringing the Eclipse to school. Was riding a bit rough, going to have to do some test runs on my favorite road to test whats wrong (I hope it was just the road I was driving on) Also its has some new wheels (The silver/bronze color scheme wasn't the best match imo)

Also another change

The TT is good, to be honest I haven't been the one driving it, my mom has lol. She absolutely loves the car, she has even tried to buy it off my once so far lol

Some big news (besides the title) I sold the TT, but don't worry, after my moms car died, I decided to sell her the TT. I know its in good hands and I'll still be able to drive it whenever. Now for more important matters, the mirage my friend and I bought finally called it quits. Haven't figured out exactly whats wrong with it, but we sent it to my uncle to get looked at because he has time and I've got to work. Looks like its time to find a new winter beater.

Had my first experience driving in winter. Luckily my mom let my use the TT to drive to school. So many cars went off the road on the way to the school. I did get a bit sideways. but nothing way major. Going to see a Saab 9-5 2.3T tomorrow for a car for winter
