Which Day/Time Would You Like This To Take Place?

  • Total voters
    28
  • Poll closed .
It's set up into manufacturers for Pre-Q as there are different specs between different cars in a group. So to eliminate the possibility of 'cheating', we will separate them into manufacturers.
Let me clarify it better if this makes sense more?

Basically like you would create multiple Time Trials for us to do (max of 3) then based of group A and B you would look at the Times from all the manufactures and take the best 7 from A and Best 8 from B?

Correct? Deadline for each Qualifier?

Correct.

The deadline will be about 7hrs out from the race itself. So 14:00 GMT+10.

Could you make it any earlier so it's more convenient for us Brits?
You can Pre-Q whenever you want up to that time. That's just the cut-off time.

All Pre-Q events are now up and running in our Community Club

Yes I do! Ok, I'm sitting down today for a one-on-one interview with Jet Black Mafia's @Ph1sher & @Mikey24! They've recently announced that they are teaming up in the highly-respectable ATCC series, and I've decided to catch up with them about it!

Interviewer: "So, Mikey, how excited are you about this partnership with someone as renowned as Ph1sher?"

Mikey: "I've always really known that my teammate is part of one of the fastest GT6 organisations in the community. And after watching him race, it's astounding to see how fast the guy can really go! And for me to be able to take the chance and partner with him feels incredible. I have no doubt that racing against someone so prestigious should rub off some tricks of the trade on to me ;). Seriously though, racing with Ph1sher will definitely help me to improve my own driving and he'll certainly be a challenge to beat, or even match! I look forward to seeing how this partnership works out. 👍"

Interviewer: "Hmm, ok, sounds like you are genuinely ecstatic about this partnership. May I just ask you, who do you, Mikey, consider your biggest threat in this championship?"

Mikey: "My biggest threat?... Everyone in ATCC I would consider a threat because it is full of fantastic drivers, some of which may be down the order but you never know if they could pull off an unmatchable pace/result. But if I had to really pick my competitior, then I could only narrow it down to three great, fast drivers; @FutureF1, @Ph1sher and of course @NW48."

Interviewer: "Ok, now, a few questions away from the series, but what got you into the world of Gran Turismo?"

Mikey: "I've been playing Gran Turismo on a whole since GT2, when my father introduced me to it. Since then I've always been a fan of motorsport, or any car that moved in a way that makes it stand out from the crowd. I started playing online on GT5, but then it was only random lobbies with Shuffle Racing, where I kinda started to realise my potential. I was considered fast by everyone that I raced with. Sometime in 2012, I moved over to the drifting scene (believe it or not), and that's where I really learned car control, I mean, if you can control a 550+HP rear-wheel drive car at a 45 degree angle you can do anything, right?. I never competed in fully organised series' until GT6, but I was a member of a well-known JDM club in GT5. I got GT6 the Christmas after it came out and I was very skeptical of it at first, the interface was much different from the previous game. But I didn't play it until I had completed GT5, which took forever! I then started playing GT6, doing all of the career races, racking up some money together. Then I started with a tuning/performance sort of activity which gradually grew into doing some 'arrive and drive' style races in online lobbies. Everyone that raced against me said I was ridiculously fast (somehow  )! This is when I realised I should start playing online, I signed up for GTPlanet way back in 2011 but never really started using it until about a year ago. The first organised online race I had ever entered. It was a Clio V6 Challenge, it was here where I really saw the challenge in racing. Racing in random lobbies never really has many 'great' drivers but racing professionally online does. Definitely. Only a few races in I entered a BTCC event at Brands Hatch but let's not talk about that.... I quickly got to grips with online racing and I just started winning race after race in the Clio V6 Challenge, even with Boost on weak and reverse grid after every race (they tried to slow me down lol). I have entered over 100 online races, which would technically classify me as a veteran. I have won a title (my Trofeo d'Italia but I wouldn't classify that as a proper win as it was eventually forgotten about). I have won only 8 official races but almost 30 unofficial (practice/testing races). I have over 40 podiums and you can guarantee me in the top 10 in every race. I have experience in GTTCC, RMTC, BTCC, FIA GT World Championship, FIA WEC, CORE Maserati and a few more series'."

Interviewer: "Alright, now, do you have any racing experience outside of the world of Gran Turismo?"

Mikey: "Uh, yes I do, actually. I've raced in Britain's Northern Karting Championship (that ran for only 7 years - 2002 to 2009) and I have won 3 titles in that, and every race I've finished I've been in the top 5, maybe even top 3, I can't remember... But yeah, I have experience of Formula Renault, and I was going to enter in the 2012 Formula Renault 2.0 UK season but it actually closed down :banghead:. I topped the testing times pretty much all of the time. I do have an MSA licence, too. And I'm considering entering a local Rallycross competition, but I need some money first! I wouldn't say I have lots of experience but I definitely have enough."

Interviewer: "Alright, just one last question before we cross over to Ph1sher. And a fairly important one, at that... Tomato or Barbecue sauce, or neither? ... :lol:Obviously that's not the real question but, this is, who do you consider as your biggest influence in your life?"

Mikey: "Biggest influence?... *crosses legs*, I'm not really sure in all honesty. If we're talking on a motorsport basis then I'd have a few for different divisions. Rallying - Sebastien Loeb, Circuit Racing - Jenson Button & Colin Turkington, Rallycross - Ken Block, Liam Doran & Petter Solberg. Motorcycles - has to be Valentino Rossi or Tom Sykes! :D"

city-of-arts-and-sciences-night_3-jpg.314937

Interviewer: "It's been a pleasure Mikey, but now we cross to Ph1sher, and excuse me, but I'm a bit starstruck, so firstly, what brought you to the ATCC?"

Ph1sher: Well I've always ran in many leagues including Turtle Racing League, and I thought for myself to increase my speed, consistency, patience. I'm still very young at my age and I have always had the life goal at making GT Academy. I also always wanted to do a Championship series and the previous ones I've checked out they always seem too complicated in the first posts but seeing that ATCC was very organized and I was very impressed. Also in any championship series like ATCC, Their is competition across the entire track to push your limits of ability's online, and that's why im here, too push myself, I may go off track a couple times in this series but that's why im here to push myself.

Interviewer: "Now, what about the highly regarded, Turtle Racing League, how did that come about?"

Ph1sher: Well back in GT5 a friend of mine Psycho had created it when wanting to do a spec sort of league to increase the better online racing. I had joined Turtle by not knowing GTPlanet or Turtle. So when i joined i was slowwwww! but they helped me increase my speed. Turtle has always been successful and has its ups and downs. Psycho had left towards the end of GT5 and i had created a new thread for Turtle and ran it basically by myself which is NOT easy at all as much as it looks like. In Real life i actually do a bunch of Dirt Track Racing so that came in the way of turtle but Psycho had returned and talked about turtle as itself and decided that it will always be around all season long. We still have about 12 people on average every night and it seems like we are getting more people everyday! Which is great. The best part is when i first joined i had said i was slow, well since most of the turtle or all of the Turtles tell me or anyone that i am probably one of the fastest or the fastest (Everyone has their own opinions on it of course) But whenever i see people wondering how a certain person goes fast i always want to try to help them as much as i can. Which i have in fact im tutoring or being like a coach online for a few turtles. And man seeing them race now and getting faster is always a good feeling!

Interviewer: "Now, who do you think will be your biggest threat in the ATCC, if any?"

Ph1sher: Well like Mikey had said, Everyone! The challenge is everywhere to Class B passing to competing at our own level! The only way to get faster is too put as fast or faster guys around you to learn from them. This is a great opportunity for everyone!

Interviewer: "Alright, now, what has been your favorite moment since you joined GTP?"

Ph1sher: Man! Their has been a lot of favorite moments, i think seeing new people join Turtle and probably when i got my first overall win at Turtle. I know im a huge Turtle Guy  Anyways Im sure theirs more great moments on GTPlanet in the future coming up including in ATCC!

Interviewer: "Okay, just one more question left, who has been the biggest influence on your life?"

Ph1sher: Donny Schatz, Hes a World of Outlaws Sprint Car driver that races sprint cars around Dirt Oval Tracks, My brother in law knows him very well as he used to pit for him and i see Donny every once in awhile. He once told me, "Whenever your Racing, Have a mindset of winning every race and if someone beats you then you know you can push yourself even more." Ive lived off that quote, as I can be really focused into hitting every apex and getting as much speed as i can. Though i have always respect everyone else on the track especially when you have great people around you on the track which makes the racing better!

Interviewer: "Sadly, this is where the interview concludes and we say goodbye. It's been a joy having you here, we love what the car looks like, and we look forward to you both racing it in the ATCC!"

Ph1sher: Thank You! Take Care!

Mikey: Thanks Everyone! Jet Black Mafia Out!

Top notch! That must have taken quite a while to make 👍

I've just realised that this race has come dangerously close to my GTPES B12Hr QP2 session this Saturday night. But after an initial freak out (not realising that the B12Hr schedule is GMT+11) my QP should be done with 20mins before the ATCC lobby opens :) so it's all good! Lol.

"pubs16 will be making an amazing 20min flight from Bathurst, Australia to Tokyo, Japan to both Qualify for the Bathurst 12 Hour and attend ATCC Round 1"
:P haha :gtpflag:
