I'm too scared to look at your times , I shall have my attempt later today. Should be fun! (FYI: I hate Brands Hatch, it feels so wide but in reality it's quite narrow!)

Welcome to the Pre-Race Press Conference for the fourth round of the Best Touring Car Series based in Australia! Tonight we are quizzing the drivers on what their thoughts of the London and Brands Hatch GP.
1. Question for Timlour, after a big weekend at Mid-Field Raceway, do you feel like you have to win at least one race here in London/Brands Hatch GP?

Timlour: "
I definetly want to win at least one race this round, and I think I can, but I don't feel too much pressure going into this round. However, I am aiming for the championship despite having missed one race. My victories at Mid-Field have been a big morale booster for my team and I, and I hope to keep the pace here. Still, I don't think that not getting a victory here will hurt my chances at the championnship, as long as I can get on the podium."

2. Question for David Talle, Mid-Field wasn't the best debut for you, running well behind the Group A leaders, that won't get any better on the tight streets of London, will it?

David Talle: "
It doesn't seem like it, and it won't get any better until we sort out the understeer issues on the Mustang, plaguing the cornering speed. But we learned few things from the previous race and things should be slightly better."

3. Question for Aaroh007 & gkgamer, with Masala Tsunami Racing back to a full representation of drivers, is it realistic to see a Masala Tsunami 1-2 in both races? Or will it take time to gel together as a team again?

Aaroh007: "
It is very much possible to see this happen. We have done it before in Round 1 and the only reason we couldn't repeat this was due to my back injury. I've still not recovered fully, but I'm willing to take the risk. gkgamer is a great teamate, and from the 1st testing of this season, we got along well together. I believe thats the main reason for Masala Tsunami Racing's sucess in this series."

Gkgamer: "
We definitely look forward to being able to reiterate our performance from Round #1. I am very happy to have our lead driver back for the England round and so is the whole staff here at MTR. It is a pleasure to be part of this team with the very talented Aaroh. He might be half as old as I am, but he surely is twice as fast. I learn on every track from him and I am very grateful for the challenge I face every time I try to match his performances."

4. Question for Tijee, we haven't seen you on track since Tokyo due to health issues, but what do you make of the battle heating up in Group B?

Tijee: "
Such a battle was expected considering the skill level of the competitors. There was a lot of challenge for me in this series, even before this stupid back spasm. Now after these races I've missed, the season will definitely be very difficult for me. Doctors say I should be able to drive again from the beginning of next week, so I'll hang on and do my best..."

5. Question for all driver's, what's your thoughts on racing at one of the smallest tracks in GT, London?

Aaroh007: "
I'm not very fond of racing on small tracks, especially in big, powerful touring cars. Overtaking becomes difficult, and since the starting grid for the race in London will be determined by championship points, overtaking and gaining positions quickly will be crucial for me. As a track, I find London quite challenging. A 90 degree first corner into a fast chicane and then a long right hander, slithering through the corners with the heavy V8 Lexus without hitting the barriers will not be easy. But there will be some close battles for sure, and the people of London will definitely enjoy the show."

Gkgamer: "I thought, flying into the kingdom that those were tracks where I was kind of fast... big mistake. I realized quickly that racing here in a 1.5ton car with over 500 bhp on RH compounds is not what I usually do. I am having the toughest of times trying to come up with a setup I won't need to fight throughout the races."

Timlour: "I have not tested at the London street circuit, but I know how compressed of a track it is, so I have a setup that I believe will get through the corners effectively, and without understeer."

David Talle: "
At least I won't have any trouble blocking the way with my large car... Finally a strong point ! (laughs)"

Tijee: "
As Aaroh said it's a challenging track because it's so difficult to overtake! Good setups will make the difference there, keeping the engine in high revs will be essential for exiting fast from the narrow corners!"

6. Question for all drivers, again, what are your thoughts on Brands Hatch GP?

Tijee: "
Brands Hatch is one of my favorite tracks and I'm disappointed not to be able to run it. Unlike London it's very fast, assuming you're very rigorous with your breaking and turning points. Very good drivers can make a huge difference, but on the other hand any mistake can **** it up!"

Aaroh007: "
Brands Hatch GP has always been one of my bogey tracks, mainly because of the first corner. It's a fast blind corner, so its difficult to judge it. One small step on the grass and you'll be at the back of the grid for sure. Apart from that, Its pretty nice to drive and has some good overtaking corners. We've just wrapped up testing, and with a few last moment tweaks, Masala Tsunami Racing hopes to top the timing sheets of Group B!"

David Talle: "
Brands Hatch is one of my favorite circuit, especially sector 2. The racing line is so tight and the car has to be perfectly balanced to carry maximum speed through the corners. A good position on the starting grid may prove decisive !"

Gkgamer: "
Legendary! difficult and technical, late apexes and mid-hi speed corners that require perfect throttle control."

Timlour: "Turn 1 of Brands Hatch has always been a tricky corner for me, and I'm sure it is for other drivers as well. I try to find the range of speed I should be taking through that corner, and try to stay in that range every time. Sectors 3 and 4 are where I really hit my stride. Since my setup doesn't induce too much understeer, the Corvette goes through the corners in those sectors very fast. Overall, I think this will be a fun track for touring car racing, though I think it suits Formula Fords better."

That concludes tonight's Pre-Race Press Conference, thank you to the driver's, I hope you all are looking forward to the London & Brands Hatch races!

Hey, I wish to register my interest to enter the series as a wildcard. I don't mind which car I use, so what ever is available really :)
Awesome 👍

So we currently in Group A we have just the Mustang BOSS 302 available, but in Group B I believe we have an M4 Coupe', C63 AMG & the Hyundai Genesis available. :)👍

But being a WildCard, you are free to choose a car that has been filled up already

Not as pleased as I am. You may want to use your second attempt...:lol:
What a time...

Hey, your the one who won the 1st round of the CORE Australian V8 Supercars, aren't you? Nice win, it would be a pleasure having you race with us.:)

What's his time and how far behind is the closest Group A car?

Yes indeed he is, and he is quite quick as well, a pleasure to race with. :)

Yeah that's me, thanks mate :)

Yeah, left CORE over a dispute with the severity of the rules, too political and no fun. Looks like a good atmosphere in this series, very laid back and fun, but still very competitive from what I can see. Half the reason I left CORE is because it became clear to me that I didn't have enough time to dedicate to a full series, which is why I'm interested in the wildcard option :)

Parity looks good here looking at results, so I'll check the cars out and see what suits my style best and get back to you :)

Pre-Q Reminder
Just a reminder that if you haven't completed a minimum of 1 Pre-Q session, you will be forced to start at the rear-of-field.

Group A & Group B Passing
Last week we had no issues with this, but to keep it fresh in our minds, here is a reminder;

- If a Group A car approaches a Group B car, it is the responsibility of the Group A car to pass safely, however, if it is safe to do so, the Group B car should yield off the racing line safely.

Pit Lane Entry/Exit Lines
We are again at a track (Brands Hatch) that has these lines, it is important to acknowledge these lines. Failure to do so will result in a 'Dangerous Driving' penalty. The pit lane exit puts you right into a blind corner so safety must be expressed when leaving pit lane.

Safety Car
The Saftey Car will be used as per usual, providing that we do have a Safety Car driver to begin with.

Use of Text Chat
Use of Text Chat will be strictly forbidden throughout the entire round, unless asking a question to ONLY @NW48 or giving a simple Good Luck/Race. Any other communication must be done via PSN PM. This is a precaution we are taking to ensure better server stability.

Recovery Time
There will be a maximum of 10mins recovery time (Disconnection/Rejoining waiting time) before a race, this time will begin once two or more people DC from the room. Once the time is up or all the problems are resolved, the race will start, no matter what.

London Street Track
This is a small track. There will be collisions. I urge everyone to take caution when passing or being passed, and to keep a cool head if the worst happens, and just remember, we are here for FUN!

We are looking at a full grid for tonights race with alot of key players returning to the grid to get back in the championship fight, which is hitting boiling point in Group A.

You don't need to be in a specific car, but if you want to be in the same team I think you need the same car.

Im using the GT-R.

Oh hey Beau, didn't know you had a GTP Account (it's Ninth_wonder48, by the way), you are more than welcome to be a Wildcard for us and be with Mustafur in a team. You will need to be in a GT-R, as that's a requirement to be a team. You will definitely be able to score points for your team and are more than welcome to join us on the grid tonight if you can make it. :)👍
