Wreckfest multiplayer question.XBOne

So, I have a friend, who whenever we play wreckfest multiplayer online (Xbox series x) can only join lobbies limited to 16 players, never the full 24.

Does anyone here know what could be the cause and offer a solution?

ah, I think the answer might be the actual console, I assumed he is using a series x like the rest of the friends I play online with. He might be on an xbox one, which are limited to 16 player lobbies, I guess due to the hardware limitations?

Turns out he is using a series x so it's not hardware limitation.

Anyone else know what it might be?

There were two versions of Wreckfest available, one for the older consoles and later they released versions for the SX and PS5 with upscaled graphics and 24 player lobbies, think it was $10 or something for the upgrade if you had WF already. However, I don't see the SX version advertised in the XBox store anymore, so it's possible that's your issue.

That could be it, just like Playstation have PS4 and PS5 versions of the same games, makes sense.
